About

125th Street Braces, located at 63 W 125th St 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10027, stands as a dedicated orthodontic practice serving the vibrant communities of Harlem, Washington Heights, and Inwood. Renowned as the home of the best orthodontist in these areas, this business specializes in delivering high-quality orthodontic treatments tailored to patients of all ages, with a particular emphasis on affordability and accessibility. While specific historical details about its founding are not widely documented in public sources, 125th Street Braces has established itself as a key player in the local dental landscape, positioning itself as a go-to destination for braces and related services in one of New York City's most culturally rich neighborhoods.[6][5] The practice's mission revolves around providing exceptional orthodontic care that transforms smiles and boosts confidence, making advanced treatments available without the prohibitive costs often associated with Manhattan orthodontics. By offering discounts for adult braces and fostering a welcoming environment, 125th Street Braces prioritizes patient satisfaction and long-term oral health outcomes.[5] Their services encompass a comprehensive range of orthodontic solutions, including traditional metal braces, clear braces, and likely Invisalign or similar clear aligner therapies, drawing parallels to leading practices in the area that emphasize no-referral consultations and efficient treatment starts.[3][1] Expertise at 125th Street Braces is rooted in the proficiency of its orthodontic team, who handle everything from initial consultations to ongoing care, ensuring personalized treatment plans that address individual needs, whether for children, teens, or adults. Patient reviews highlight the staff's niceness and the practice's commitment to discounts, underscoring their unique value proposition: affordable, high-quality orthodontics in a convenient Harlem location.[5] What sets 125th Street Braces apart from competitors is its hyper-local focus on underserved communities along 125th Street and beyond, combined with operational efficiencies like direct scheduling via phone at (646) 553-6300, bypassing the need for referrals that can delay care elsewhere.[6][3] Unlike larger chains or downtown practices with higher overheads, this orthodontist offers competitive pricing—echoing nearby providers' ranges of $3,200 to $5,200 for metal braces, well below the New York average of $3,500 to $7,000—while maintaining a community-oriented approach.[3] The practice operates from the second floor of a prominent address within the 125th Street Business Improvement District, integrating seamlessly into Harlem's bustling corridor known for innovation and accessibility.[1] Although not BBB accredited, which requires adherence to specific trust standards, 125th Street Braces compensates with positive anecdotal feedback on affordability and friendliness, appealing to budget-conscious families and working professionals.[2][5] Their unique value also lies in practical patient support, such as guidance on managing common issues like loose brackets with at-home remedies until professional care is available, reflecting a patient-first philosophy.[3] In a city where orthodontic costs can be daunting, 125th Street Braces distinguishes itself by democratizing access to straighter smiles, leveraging its strategic location for easy navigation via public transit and walk-ins from local residents, workers, and visitors. This commitment to the Harlem community not only fosters loyalty but also contributes to broader oral health initiatives along iconic 125th Street. As orthodontics evolve with technologies like virtual monitoring and 3D scanning—features adopted by regional peers—125th Street Braces remains poised to incorporate such advancements, ensuring modern care in a trusted neighborhood setting.[3][4] Ultimately, what truly sets this business apart is its role as a pillar of affordable expertise, empowering diverse populations with confident smiles that last a lifetime. Patients appreciate the no-nonsense approach: book a consultation, discuss options, and start treatment promptly, all while benefiting from discounts that make orthodontics feasible. In Harlem's dynamic environment, 125th Street Braces isn't just a dental office—it's a catalyst for self-assurance and community well-being, proving that top-tier orthodontic care can be both exceptional and equitable.[1][5][6] (Word count: 612)

The staff are very helpful. The Doctor is very nice with all her patients. She was very detailed with what she will do for my treatment. The assistants are very welcoming and answer all my questions. The receptionist helped me find an affordable price that I can afford and offer monthly payment plans.

Amazing place I would recommend anyone to come here. You’re informed about everything from the beginning. Even before I gave my initial down payment deposit I told the time length of how long I was going to have my braces on, how much they would cost, even gave me a break down month to month of what I was going to pay, explained their late fee policy, etc. Even will let you know straight up if your insurance is covering. Everything you needed to know they will tell you and if you have any questions or concerns they’re extremely helpful. They also give you physical papers that explains everything they tell you! Very comfortable environment, from the receptionist to the workers, to the actual doctor they are very friendly. They all get along which makes the environment even more comfortable. Very professional, organized and neat! A lot of these reviews are not very so true. What business don’t have days it’s crowded? Doesn’t mean it’s a terrible place. If we as patients actually come on time maybe it won’t be a wait. I only had to wait one time since having braces May 2017 and that was due to patients coming 15-30 minutes after their scheduled time. Even then they would constantly come out and apologize and update us. The wait don’t even be long, people are just impatient. 125th braces is a great place to go if you are in need of orthonditic work!

FOLLOW -UP Review : DO NOT GO HERE!! My daughter was on the last few months of treatment and we’ve been completely ghosted! She had an appointment in July that no one was there for. I’ve called/emailed/ left voicemails and absolutely no response for over a month ! We’ve even showed up randomly to see if anyone would open the door and nothing!!! They took money from me and my Insurance and abandoned treatment, which is illegal. So of course I will be taking action. . . . . Staff here so always friendly, especially the lady in the front reception area. She’s always so sweet and helpful. Best part about this place is their prices. I’ve searched all over for affordable braces for my child and this was by far the best. And their payment plans are great also. Would recommend this place to everyone.

Had Braces done for both my kids, and they just closed down without any notice. Now, my daughter is stuck with braces that I have to pay to get removed. Called the number from the site and told me they're not affiliated and I would have to start a new consultation. They took my money and ran. Don't bother going to the office. The elevator won't go up.

DO NOT GO HERE!! Don’t waste your time!!! Unprofessional & Horrible! I had a 9am apptmt which I arrived on time for (8:50), I sat in my car checking periodically until 9:56, other patients were arriving as well and no one was there. Doors Locked ! No one was answering the phone even though They called 3 times during the week to confirm my apptmt and sent several text messages but not one stating they were running late etc. didn’t even call to see if I had shown!! I called to let them know and instead of apologizing I was asked if I wanted to reschedule and when I declined the phone was abruptly hanged up. As a RN working in the medical field for over 20 years, this is highly unacceptable!!! Not to mention I took time off work for this!! Take your money somewhere else, where they actually care about their patients.
