About

Prime Dental, located at 2071 2nd Ave, New York, NY 10029, stands as a cornerstone of comprehensive dental care in the heart of New York City. While specific historical records for this exact location are not publicly detailed in available sources, Prime Dental embodies the legacy of dedicated dental practices serving urban communities like those in Manhattan's Upper East Side. Established to address the diverse oral health needs of families, professionals, and individuals from all walks of life, the practice has built a reputation for blending general dentistry with specialized treatments, prioritizing patient comfort, affordability, and long-term oral wellness. The mission of Prime Dental is clear: to deliver exceptional dental services that prevent, treat, and enhance oral health, ensuring every patient leaves with a confident smile and pain-free experience. This commitment is evident in their wide array of offerings, from routine preventive care to advanced restorative procedures.[1][6][7] At the core of Prime Dental's services is a patient-centered approach that covers everything from **migraine prevention** and **treatment of orofacial pain**—unique specialties that set them apart by addressing head and neck discomfort often overlooked in standard dental visits—to essential **teeth cleaning** and **complete oral exams**, including vigilant screenings for oral cancer. Their expertise extends to cosmetic enhancements like **porcelain veneers**, **cosmetic bonding**, and **bleaching** for those seeking aesthetic improvements, alongside functional restorations such as **crowns and bridges**, **implants**, **root canals** (delivered painlessly), and **dentures** with same-day repairs in most cases. Specialized gum treatments, including surgery when necessary, oral surgery, sealants, fillings (white or gold), and anti-snoring treatments further demonstrate their full-spectrum capabilities. They even provide **oral appliances for mild to moderate sleep apnea**, showcasing a holistic view of health where oral issues intersect with overall well-being.[1] What truly distinguishes Prime Dental is their unique value proposition: accessibility combined with high-quality, compassionate care. Patient testimonials highlight the 'lovely staff' who are 'super sweet and helpful,' with professionals like Jaz and Terry earning rave reviews for their kindness and efficiency. Unlike many practices that prioritize profit over patient needs, Prime Dental is praised for ethical practices—doing 'what needs to be done at an affordable price' without unnecessary consultations to 'milk insurance.' This transparency and genuine care make patients feel 'at home,' fostering loyalty in a city where dental anxiety is common. The office accommodates emergencies swiftly, performs cleanings quickly and painlessly even for the uninsured, and delivers excellent results with professional advice tailored to individual needs.[7] Their expertise is amplified by a team of dental specialists on call for complex cases, ensuring seamless referrals without compromising continuity of care. In an industry often fragmented by specialization, Prime Dental's generalists handle most needs in-house, reducing patient hassle and costs. This efficiency, paired with extended hours—including evenings, weekends, and even every other Saturday—caters to busy New Yorkers' schedules.[6][7] Years of serving the community have honed their skills in sedation dentistry, TMJ treatment, dental emergencies, headaches, and bleeding gums management, positioning them as a one-stop solution for family dentistry.[7] What sets Prime Dental apart from competitors is this rare fusion of breadth and depth: they treat not just teeth, but the interconnected pains of modern life, like migraines from jaw misalignment or sleep disruptions from apnea. Their painless root canals and same-day denture repairs exemplify innovation in patient convenience, while cosmetic services like veneers and bonding offer transformative smiles without invasive procedures. Affordable pricing, insurance-friendly policies (though specifics unavailable), and a welcoming environment devoid of upselling create a standout experience. In a competitive landscape of Brooklyn and Manhattan dental offices, Prime Dental's focus on doing 'the right thing'—as echoed in reviews—builds trust that endures. Whether preserving extraction sites, maintaining periodontal health, or crafting custom nightguards and bleaching trays, their meticulous attention to detail ensures optimal outcomes. For New Yorkers seeking a dentist who listens, acts ethically, and delivers excellence, Prime Dental is more than a practice; it's a partner in lifelong oral health. With glowing endorsements like 'Best dentist place in Brooklyn' (noting their regional ties) and 'Terrific office!!,' they continue to exceed expectations, proving that true expertise shines through patient satisfaction and results that last.[1][6][7] (Word count: 712)

Have a great experience for someone who was traumatized at an early age. Going to visit the dentist was not rewarding. However at 57 my experience at Prime Dental was a great one. The Dentist was professional and knowledgeable and explained everything in detail. I recommend this Dental Clinic to everyone.

I am very lucky to have gone to this place. It was a very nice experience. The dentist is very skilled in his profession and provides care and attention to the patients. The dental assistant is also very nice. Everything there is good, good treatment and excellent reception. The place is clean and close to transportation. I would like to thank all the staff for their wonderful service. Thank you all.

I have had perhaps six (mostly cleaning) appointments with Dr. Kim over the past eighteen months and I like him and trust his opinion. Impressively, he cleans my teeth himself (rather than have a hygienist). He has been very thorough and knowledgeable in our discussions which I appreciate. I am grateful that he correctly diagnosed an emergency condition I had a year ago that was solved with a round of antibiotics which took care of an unexpected Infection under a crown. The last two times I was there he ran late by over thirty minutes and I asked the receptionist to consider calling or texting patients who are otherwise at work to let them know so that they do not sit in the office waiting to be seen when they could be working. I have read the other comments below about the receptionist and I would just say that if you treat her with kindness and respect that she will do likewise. In other words, treat others as you yourself would like to be treated...and remember, we all have bad days once in awhile; so be kind.

This has been my second visit to prime dental within the last three years. Both times I visited because of an emergency extraction needed. Now I found prime dental through my dental insurances IN network providers/ alliances . Yet when I visited prime dental, they told me they could not extract the tooth (which they had done before) and then proceeded to refer me to another oral clinic way out of whack (IN THE BRONX??? 😩😂) mind you there is another oral clinic right around the corner from them on 106th St. And not to mention the receptionist, she was exceptionally rude . The heavyset lady with the cut off sideburns and freckles. She was literally being mean to everyone of color, rolling her eyes making faces, cutting into conversations, she lied and told the doctor that I did not have insurance which I did! There was a woman there for emergency and when woman walked out on the appointment, the receptionist put her arm up and did a yes gesture! Rude I think she needs to be replaced. Dr. Kim is who I went to see yesterday . And I don’t think he is a bad doctor. I think that he is overwhelmed and they are understaffed because he was dealing with multiple people at one time and he seemed flustered as if he didn’t want to take another big task. Please going to this location. I do not exaggerate. I love yourself and love your providers. 🧚🏽‍♀️

If it will be 0 stars i will give it 0 , i waited one hour in line and she cut it off the line while my mother had an infection and in pain , and the reception was so rude to my mother , and she yelled when i was saying that she cut off the line and sent me out the office. Hope God give them the place they deserve these peoples .
