About

Dntl Bar Chelsea, located at 776 6th Avenue in the heart of New York City, represents a revolutionary approach to dental care that prioritizes patient comfort, accessibility, and cutting-edge technology. Nestled conveniently near the High Line and Penn Station, this boutique dental practice is redefining the dentist visit from a dreaded chore into a welcoming, efficient experience. As the 'people’s dentist,' Dntl Bar Chelsea is on a mission to democratize oral health by making high-quality dental services affordable, convenient, and judgment-free. Founded by Dr. Anthony Leonetti, DMD, an accomplished clinician and entrepreneur who earned his Doctor of Dental Medicine from Rutgers School of Dental Medicine and completed his residency at The Mount Sinai Hospital, the practice stems from his vision to elevate patient care. Dr. Leonetti initially established SoHo Dental Group as a premier Manhattan practice, renowned for expertise in implant dentistry, cosmetic procedures, and clear aligners. His rapid expansion to additional locations, including this Chelsea outpost, underscores a commitment to scaling innovative care across New York City. With over 10 years in practice, thousands of happy patients, and more than 100 implants surgically placed, Dntl Bar Chelsea builds on this solid foundation to deliver comprehensive services under one roof[1][2][6].

At the core of Dntl Bar's mission is putting patients at the center of their dental journey. Traditional dentistry often involves long waits, referrals to specialists, and inflexible scheduling that disrupts busy lives. Dntl Bar Chelsea disrupts this model with a full in-house team of hygienists, general dentists, and specialists, ensuring seamless care without external handoffs. Nighttime and weekend appointments—Monday to Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.—cater to New Yorkers' demanding schedules. Short notice and emergency availability mean urgent needs like toothaches or trauma receive same-day attention. The practice's unique value proposition lies in its blend of luxury amenities and clinical excellence: noise-canceling headphones, streaming services like Netflix, cozy blankets, aromatherapy hand towels, and massage chairs transform visits into spa-like retreats. Industry-leading technology, including intraoral cameras, digital X-rays, iTero scanners, and laser dentistry via the proprietary BLAST Protocol (Biostimulation-Lase-Activation-Stimulation-Technique), ensures precise, minimally invasive procedures with faster healing and reduced discomfort[1][2][3][4][6].

Services span preventive, cosmetic, restorative, and surgical dentistry. Routine teeth cleanings, X-rays, and exams are completed in under an hour, with membership options for added savings. Cosmetic enhancements like professional teeth whitening and veneers brighten smiles, while clear aligners and dental implants address misalignment and gaps. Advanced treatments include same-day dental crowns, root canals by in-house endodontists, fillings for cavities, and full-arch implants starting as low as qualifying financing allows. Emergency care tackles infections, pain, and trauma swiftly. What sets Dntl Bar Chelsea apart is its unwavering focus on transparency and affordability: insurance-friendly (in-network with most major PPO plans), third-party financing, and interest-free in-house payment plans remove barriers to care. Transparent pricing eliminates surprise bills, fostering trust in an industry often plagued by opacity[1][2][3][4][5].

The team's expertise is amplified by continuous education, ensuring they stay ahead of trends in technology and techniques for superior outcomes. Patient testimonials rave about the gentle, compassionate care: 'The staff is amazing—friendly, efficient, and genuinely warm,' and 'Hands down the best dental experience I’ve ever had.' With 250+ five-star reviews and a top-rated status in Midtown Manhattan, Dntl Bar Chelsea isn't just a dental office; it's the vanguard of a dental revolution. By combining boutique comfort, specialist convenience, modern tech, and patient-centric scheduling, it empowers New Yorkers to achieve sparkling, healthy smiles without compromise. Whether you're a first-timer overcoming dental anxiety or a regular seeking maintenance, Dntl Bar Chelsea delivers exceptional care that fits your life, proving that outstanding oral health can be accessible, enjoyable, and transformative[1][2][3][4][6].

DNTL BAR IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST! It's weird to be so hype about a dentist but truly they are top notch and I actually look forward to my visits a little bit. 1. They're very gentle 2. Before even starting, the hygienist was like "lmk if you're ever uncomfortable at any point and we can take a break" 3. They saw that my lips were kinda dry esp at the corners so they put some waxy coating over it all - which is soooo nice, because I hate having cracked lip corners by the end of a visit. 4. I got a hot towel at the end 5. I needed a crown, and they came and talked me through payment options very patiently with with very transparent pricing. And they said that last month they were running a discount that they'd be willing to reactivate for me, so it'll be even more affordable.

Went in for an emergency I noticed Saturday night. I booked Online Monday afternoon, easy. Was in and out in less than an hr, 2 fillings done. Also got X-rays for future visits. The staff was great, offered me a water as well. Had Netflix on the TV during the procedure to distract myself from what's happening. Conveniently between the AE/QR lines right by Flatiron.

Minseo is an excellent dental hygienist—thorough, gentle, and professional. Dr. Do is the best dentist I’ve had! They makes each visit comfortable and easy. My teeth always feel incredibly clean afterward, and their friendly, caring attitude makes every appointment a wonderful experience. 10/10

As much as I would like to give Dntl Bar five stars because Dr. Do is truly incredible, my overall experience with this practice over the years has been exhausting. They opened multiple locations across NYC only to abruptly close them all and consolidate into a single Chelsea location. That shift was not only concerning but also extremely inconvenient. I understand that, like many privately owned dental practices, they were likely bought out without much input from employees. However, since then, the quality of customer service has dropped significantly. It declined to the point where I spent most of this year seeing a different dentist, until Dntl Bar reached out this fall to schedule my final annual cleaning. I had to reschedule a few times due to illness and scheduling conflicts, but we eventually confirmed an appointment for Monday, December 29th at 2:00 pm. I made this appointment on December 12, 2025, and during the two weeks leading up to it, I was never contacted about any insurance issues. I arrived promptly at 2:00 pm for my cleaning and to have my Invisalign buttons removed, only to be told at the front desk that they no longer accept my insurance. This was incredibly confusing, as insurance verification should happen well before a patient arrives. I have been a Dntl Bar patient for years and have never had a problem with my insurance, so it was unclear whether this was a new policy or a recent change. I was then informed that I would need to pay nearly $600 out of pocket that day and that my insurance would reimburse me sometime later, possibly in two weeks. When I asked when they discovered this issue, I was first told it was that morning. I then asked why no one contacted me to give me the option to reschedule, cancel, or prepare for the upfront cost. The receptionist then said she actually found out an hour earlier. At that point, it was frustrating to hear that no one thought to call, especially since I traveled over an hour to get there. You should not inform someone they owe $600 only after they walk through the door. I then asked if I could at least have my Invisalign buttons removed, since I had already paid for that service out of pocket. I ended up waiting over 30 minutes past my scheduled 2:00 pm appointment time just for that service. When I was finally brought back, I asked the dental hygienist how long the button removal would take, and she said under an hour. This directly contradicted what I had been told by the receptionist on Friday, December 26th, when she said the entire visit, including the cleaning and button removal, would take one hour total. I had scheduled other appointments immediately afterward based on that information. The hygienist then informed me that I was actually booked for two separate appointments, one at 2:00 pm for the cleaning and another at 3:00 pm for the button removal. None of this was communicated to me when I booked on December 12th, in any reminder texts, or during my phone call with the receptionist on Friday. They also do not send emails, which only added to the confusion. The complete lack of communication throughout the day was incredibly frustrating, and honestly, I am almost relieved that they no longer accept my insurance. While I will truly miss Dr. Do and his warm, kind presence, this experience left me feeling disappointed and drained. What a terrible day.
