Established with a legacy dating back to at least 1977, this esteemed practice has been a top provider of dental implants in Manhattan, replacing missing teeth and crafting comfortable, natural-looking smiles for generations of patients.[4] Originally operating under Herald Square Dental, the practice has evolved into Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center, now affiliated with The Smilist Dental network, which has expanded its reach while preserving the core commitment to exceptional oral health services under one roof.[1][2][3] Nestled conveniently near Penn Station, the office serves the diverse needs of professionals, families, and visitors in Midtown, Herald Square, and beyond, offering a welcoming environment equipped for everything from routine check-ups to advanced restorative procedures.

The mission of Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center is rooted in delivering precision dental care that prioritizes patient comfort, education, and long-term oral health. Their highly skilled team, including experienced dentists such as Ian D. Pasch, DDS, Arthur Yam, DDS, and Alfred Shirzadnia, DDS, is dedicated to meeting all dental needs with expertise and compassion.[2][5] What began as a specialized focus on dentures and implants has grown into a full-service dental hub, providing general dentistry, cosmetic enhancements, restorative treatments, and emergency care. Since its inception nearly five decades ago, the practice has built a reputation for reliability, as evidenced by patient testimonials praising urgent appointments fitted within hours and trustworthy care for complex smile restorations.[4] This longevity—over 47 years as of 2024—sets them apart, allowing them to refine techniques and adapt to advancements in dental technology while maintaining the personal touch of a major clinic.[4]

Services at Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center encompass a broad spectrum designed for adults and children alike, proudly bringing high-quality family dentistry to the community. General dentistry forms the foundation, including routine exams, professional cleanings, X-rays, and patient education on proper teeth and gum maintenance to prevent issues before they arise.[3] Restorative dentistry addresses damage and loss with fillings, crowns, bridges, dentures, and their hallmark dental implants, which have been a specialty since 1977, ensuring functional and aesthetically pleasing results.[3][4] Cosmetic dentistry elevates smiles through professional teeth whitening and Invisalign clear aligners for discreet orthodontic correction.[3] The team also accommodates emergencies, offering same-day appointments for unexpected dental crises, a feature frequently highlighted in reviews for its responsiveness.[4] As part of The Smilist Dental family, the practice benefits from a network of highly-trained professionals who collaborate to provide seamless, comprehensive care.[3]

What truly distinguishes Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center is their unique value proposition: a blend of decades-old expertise with modern, patient-centered innovation in a prime location. Meet your new dentist - Doctor Shirzadnia I have been a patient of Doctor Shirzadnia at Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center since 2022. I initially went there for a consultation to discuss how I might be able to avoid getting dentures on my bottom teeth. I was also curious about getting braces for the top teeth. That day, Doctor Shirzadnia and I came up with plan that I would get braces and implants. This was going to be a process because of how my dental insurance worked and my how much I put into my FSA account. I was really nervous to go to that initial appointment because …TEETH! Doctor Shirzadnia made me feel better from the start. He really listened to me and answered all my many questions. His knowledge, expertise and confidence calmed me, and I knew I was at the right place. Braces came first. I would come in to have them tightened about once a month and every time I arrived the entire office staff was super friendly. I really look forward to seeing Fran, Ro and Stephanie when I walk in every month. I was going to have the braces for a while until I got my left bottom implants. It is a bridge, and he had to pull a painful tooth so there were a few stages that I went thru with the healing, bone fusion abutments and implants. I had many questions throughout the whole process and whenever I had a question Doctor Shirzadnia would stop to listen to my question and then explain the answer in a way I understood and he would always make sure that I was comfortable and satisfied with his explanations/answers. The whole time that I was going thru my treatment, Nicole, the Patient Care Coordinator was working with my insurance company to be sure everything that could be covered, would be covered. Nicole is super patient and understands that billing and insurance can be confusing to the patient. She will sit with me and go over every line of the patient ledger, benefits claims and anything else related to billing until I am sure I understand. There were a few times when I thought that the insurance was not going to cover something and she talked me off a ledge because it was covered. I can’t leave out the dental assistants Ermal, George and Jeab. They are wonderful and work very well with Doctor Shirzadnia. Eileen is the Dental Hygienist and I get 3 cleanings every year because of the braces. She is thorough and gentle. So, in review I would like to recommend Doctor Shirzadnia and the entire team at Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center for all of your dental needs. If you are younger than 55 (my age) don’t let the words “denture center” keep you from going in to see them. They do ALL the dental “stuff”. My teeth look amazing. The top braces came off today. I can eat nuts and crunchy things now. My life is exponentially better than it was before I walked in that day in 2022. I have more confidence when I smile. My quality of life without tooth pain is a middle-aged person’s dream come true. Make the appointment you have been putting off. Go see Dr. Shirzadnia and the Team at Herald Square Dental & The Denture Center!

I appreciate the free consult as I am shopping around to get my botched dental issue solved. Amer was really great and I learned a lot from him about my teeth issue. Nicole was great in setting it up. Patients seemed genuinely happy there in the lobby. I havent gotten anything done yet but they seemed to make sense with the evaluation and I appreciated the financing options explained to me.

I had dentures that finally needed replacement after many years. But mine were special from a time that used a metal base onto which the prosthetic gums and teeth would be attached once you gave your gum impressions. I traveled to Herald Square Dental and found a staff who is professional, kind and courteous only seeking to be helpful. From reception to the busy dental assistants/Techs I had one of the best customer service experiences I've could ever have in a long time!!!..special thanks and shout out to Dr Pasch's tech George for helping me through my smile renewal journey, and all the other techs who helped bring my new smile to life...no more taking closed mouth pictures (smiling like I'm having gas) or eating like a chipmunk or squirrel 😀 Who really started this renewal journey was Dr Pasch. He is a dentist par excellence. A very kind practitioner who REALLY CARES about his patients and their clinical dental needs. I was measured, had my dental work done..I needed a filling and later on my dentures were ready....which with no mendacity I can say that I required NO ADJUSTMENTS OF MY NEW DENTURES. Dr Pasch measured PERFECTLY!!....I hadn't been eating on my back teeth for years...my first meal with my new dentures were walnuts and crazins...I couldn't believe how good they tasted on the taste buds by my jaws..it was AWESOME!!!! and my new smile brought tears when I saw it...yes it is a new year with a new SMILE...THANKS DR PASCH AND THE STAFF OF HERALD SQUARE DENTAL!!!

It’s such a lovely calm place and soothed all my fears. Zainab is a magical hygienist. I felt no pain at all and my teeth looked like a sixteen year old’s afterward. All of the doctors are so kind and attentive. They also treat my mother and she loves them! I highly recommend this dental practice.
