About

Dental Arts Manhattan, located at 154 W 14th Street, Fourth Floor, in the heart of New York City's vibrant Chelsea neighborhood, stands as a beacon of comprehensive dental care dedicated to transforming smiles and promoting lifelong oral health. Led by the esteemed Dr. Kevin V. Lehman, DDS, this practice has evolved into a cornerstone of modern dentistry since Dr. Lehman assumed ownership in 2014, building on a legacy of excellence that spans nearly two decades under his association with the practice. With over 18 years of hands-on experience at Dental Arts Manhattan prior to taking the helm, Dr. Lehman has cultivated a reputation for delivering exceptional, patient-centered care that prioritizes comfort, precision, and lasting results.[7][5][3]

The mission of Dental Arts Manhattan is clear and unwavering: to provide every patient with the personalized, high-quality dental care they deserve while achieving and maintaining long-term dental health and a beautiful smile. This commitment is embodied in their daily operations, where the entire team—including general dentists, a periodontist, an oral surgeon, registered dental hygienists, dental assistants, and patient coordinators—works collaboratively to create a welcoming 'dental home' for individuals and families alike. From the moment patients step into the clean, modern office, they are greeted with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere that alleviates common dental anxieties. The practice's goal extends beyond routine treatments; it focuses on conservative, state-of-the-art procedures that restore and enhance the natural beauty of smiles using cutting-edge technology such as 3-D scanning, digital radiography, digital X-rays, and same-day crowns and veneers.[3][7][2]

Dr. Lehman's impressive credentials underscore the practice's expertise. A graduate of Columbia University College of Dental Medicine, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery, he further honed his skills through a rigorous General Practice Residency at Montefiore Hospital in the Bronx. His educational foundation in biology and psychology from Boston College informs a holistic approach, addressing not just clinical needs but also patient fears and overall experience. This comprehensive yet conservative philosophy shines in his particular proficiency in cosmetic dentistry, alongside a full spectrum of general and restorative services. Patients rave about his honesty, thoroughness, and genuine care, with long-term visitors noting how the practice elevated from great to tremendous under his leadership—one loyal patient has been coming for 14 years.[1][2][5][7]

What truly sets Dental Arts Manhattan apart is its unique value proposition: an all-in-one destination for general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry in a convenient, centrally located setting at the intersection of 14th Street and 7th Avenue. Unlike many practices that refer patients out for specialized care, this team handles everything in-house, from routine cleanings and exams to complex procedures like dental implants, root canals, orthodontics (including clear braces and Invisalign), bone grafting, bridges, crowns, veneers, whitening, dentures, teeth extractions, periodontal scaling and root planing, and restoration of implants. This integrated model ensures seamless treatment plans, faster results—such as orthodontic transformations in as little as six months—and reduced patient stress. Amenities like nitrous oxide for comfort further enhance the experience.[2][3]

The practice distinguishes itself through unwavering patient satisfaction, evidenced by hundreds of perfect 5-star ratings annually and testimonials highlighting the 'fantastic,' 'efficient,' and 'caring' staff. Dr. Lehman's personal touch—a Chelsea resident of over 25 years who enjoys travel, theater, hiking, restaurants, and beagles—fosters authentic connections, making visits something patients actually look forward to. In a city teeming with dental options, Dental Arts Manhattan rises above with its blend of advanced technology, multidisciplinary expertise, and a relentless focus on outcomes that preserve natural dentition while preventing disease progression. Whether you're seeking preventive cleanings every six months, cosmetic enhancements for a radiant smile, or restorative solutions to reclaim function and aesthetics, this practice delivers results that endure. Their devotion to modern dentistry's full potential ensures every visit is an investment in health, confidence, and beauty, setting a gold standard in Manhattan's competitive landscape.[1][2][3][7]

If you care about your teeth, this is the place. Professional, efficient, and the most gentle dental cleaning I’ve ever had. Don’t walk, run the dental art immediately. Thank you for your attention to this matter

I’ve been a patient here for over 20 years, and I can honestly say I wouldn’t trust my dental care to anyone else. Dr. Kevin Lehman and the entire team are professional, caring, and always make me feel comfortable. They take the time to explain procedures clearly and genuinely care about their patients’ health and well-being. The office is always clean, welcoming, and runs smoothly—you’re never left waiting long. Over the years, I’ve had everything from routine cleanings to more involved dental work, and each experience has been excellent. It’s rare to find a dentist who combines such expertise with kindness and consistency. I’m grateful to have found one I can rely on for decades, and I highly recommend Dr. Kevin Lehman to anyone looking for outstanding dental care.

This is a new dentist recommended by my wife. My wife didn’t think my previous dentist did a great job at cleaning. She was right. They gave me the full works on the cleaning. I thought all dentist offered the same cleaning apparently this isn’t the case. What’s difference in the cleaning. I did have to wait because one of their hygienist were out due to an emergency issue. The apologized. The staff were all great. SUZY dental assistant was very educational when doing the X-rays. Vic hygienist cleaned throughly. Dr. Ken spotted an issue with my crown which I have had for several years and not one of my two dentists mentioned the issue. Receptionist which I didn’t get her name was personable. Update: 08/29/2024 Had a good hygienist (Victoria) talk care of me today. Absolutely fabulous. She is a full timer. Been going there for 1.5 years, apparently and first time interacting with her. Great job.

The DH was nice but very clumsy. She grazed my face with tools, while looking in the other direction. She dragged spit across my face. She used my forehead for leverage. The scraping was the roughest I have experienced. She needs to work on order of operations- there was a level of disorganization, false starts, and she needs to develop a smooth process and a better touch. Also it is not possible for a patient to answer questions when the work is happening, so don't ask them. In addition, she did not take time to correctly adjust the angle of the xray camera, and it had to be done twice.
