I went to see Dr. Mitrut for two separate root canals this past year, one on an emergency basis. He is a consummate professional in his field and provided me with the absolute best of care, explaining in detail the procedure and what to expect on my first visit with continual follow up after I went home. He makes you feel at complete ease during the process. His office staff are welcoming and really care about your well being. I could not more highly recommend a better endodontist for this procedure. What impressed me even more was my emergency visit. I contacted Dr. Mitrut on a Sunday evening and he promptly returned my call that same night and made himself available immediately for me to come see him before his normal business hours the following day. He performed another root canal on an extremely painful tooth and sent me home in no pain. Truly grateful to Dr. Mitrut, my endodontist for life!

Dr. Mitrut rescued me from a very painful situation over the Christmas holidays. He and his staff made themselves available and helped me correct a poor root canal execution from 15 years ago that became infected. Both his Astoria and Grammercy offices were extremely professional and he took a very difficult situation and made it a pleasant one. At each step, he carefully explained what he and his team were doing and they performed a very complicated redo of a root canal that had become infected flawlessly. I couldn't have been more grateful and couldn't recommend Dr. Mitrut more to anyone in need of a high quality professional endondontist.
Root Canal is not something one looks forward too, but for some of us is one of life's burdens. First impressions are not always as they appear, but in the case of Dr. Mitrut, first impressions are indeed as they appear. From the moment I first entered Dr's office I was impressed with the ambiance as it was obvious it was a well maintained environment. The staff consistently worked with getting me what I needed and followed up with a call before and after each visit. Appointments were always on-time.Once in the chair I was very relaxed and it was more than obvious I was surrounded with the most state-of-the-art equipment;I can attest that I never saw as much high-tech gear for dental care before.And then Dr.Mitrut, professional, meticulous, informative, painless; clearly one who puts the patient in a state of comfort before any work begins. Root canal is not something I look forward to, but knowing I have Dr Mitrut, it is fear that has been marginalized.
