About
Tend Dental East Village, located at 24 2nd Ave in the heart of New York City's vibrant East Village, represents a transformative vision for modern dentistry. Founded on the principle that dental care should be a welcoming, comfortable, and even enjoyable experience, Tend has reimagined the clinical model from the ground up. While Tend itself is a forward-thinking dental group with locations across Manhattan and beyond, the East Village practice embodies the neighborhood's eclectic, innovative, and community-focused spirit within a healthcare context. The practice was established to directly address the common anxieties and inconveniences associated with dental visits, leveraging technology, design, and exceptional hospitality to set a new standard in oral health.
The mission of Tend Dental East Village is disarmingly simple yet profoundly impactful: to make dentistry more delightful. This mission permeates every aspect of the patient journey, from the moment of booking to the post-care follow-up. Tend believes that exceptional clinical outcomes are non-negotiable, but they should be delivered in an environment that reduces stress, fosters trust, and builds lasting relationships. The practice is built on a foundation of clinical excellence, utilizing cutting-edge technology and evidence-based techniques, but it distinguishes itself through an unparalleled focus on the human experience. The team operates with the core belief that a visit to the dentist can—and should—be something patients look forward to, not dread.
What truly sets Tend Dental East Village apart is its holistic, tech-enabled, and hospitality-driven approach. The practice environment feels more like a serene, upscale lounge than a traditional dental office. The design is intentional, featuring calming colors, comfortable seating, and amenities that put patients at ease. The administrative burden is eliminated through a seamless digital interface; appointments are easily scheduled and managed via a user-friendly app, paperwork is handled digitally, and reminders are automated. This allows the clinical team to focus entirely on patient care during the visit.
Expertise at Tend is a blend of top-tier clinical skill and empathetic communication. The dentists, hygienists, and specialists are carefully selected not only for their professional credentials and commitment to continuing education but also for their warm, patient-centered demeanor. They take time to explain procedures, discuss options transparently, and involve patients fully in their treatment plans. The practice offers a comprehensive range of services, from preventive hygiene and routine check-ups to advanced restorative work, cosmetic dentistry, and emergency care, all under one roof. This comprehensiveness ensures continuity of care and deep familiarity with each patient's unique oral health history.
The unique value proposition of Tend Dental East Village lies in its mastery of the details. It’s in the curated playlist you can choose from for your appointment, the warm towel offered after a cleaning, the ceiling-mounted screens for entertainment during treatment, and the clear, upfront pricing communicated before any procedure begins. The practice operates on membership plans for uninsured patients and works seamlessly with a wide array of insurance providers, making quality dental care more accessible. By combining world-class dentistry with a five-star service ethos, Tend Dental East Village has carved out a distinctive niche. It is not merely a place for dental treatment; it is a destination for those who value their health, time, and comfort, establishing itself as an integral and trusted part of the East Village community and a leader in the evolution of patient-centric healthcare.

Customer Reviews
So far I love this place. It was my first time. They were welcoming when you first walk in. They offer you a bottle of water and give you a cute travel kit. The place is extremely clean, they take you to your suite and ask you the basic questions, they check your blood pressure. Since it was my first time I started off with X-rays in which my hygienist made me feel comfortable. After that she checked my mouth. Pulled up my pictures and X-rays on the tv in front of me and then discussed something’s. After that the dentist came in to discuss next steps as I originally went because I need to remove my wisdom teeth. She said first step would be cleaning and then they will connect me with their will see which extractions I need because of how my wisdom teeth are and then after that if I need to see an oral surgeon they will connect me to one within their facility. After that I would be able to speak on Invisalign. They were very attentive to my needs and wants, caring, gentle and honest. It was just a great first time experience. I’ll keep you updated on how my other appointments go.
I had a wonderful experience getting a cleaning and exam at Tend last week! The office was incredibly clean, modern, and beautiful, and I loved that I was able to watch TV during my appointment. I was a bit nervous at first, but the staff were so friendly and welcoming that the experience ended up being very comfortable and almost relaxing. My hygienist was Ariadna, and she did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. I’ve never had such a thorough yet gentle cleaning. She was also incredibly kind and communicative throughout the entire appointment. My dentist was Dr. Paper, and he was fantastic. I liked that he took the time to go through my X-rays with me after my cleaning, and I felt completely comfortable asking questions without feeling rushed. He was kind, patient, had a great sense of humor, and genuinely made the experience enjoyable. Overall, I was very impressed with the quality of care I received and would highly recommend this practice - especially for anyone who may feel nervous about going to the dentist.
Like most people, I am not a fan of going to the dentist but I love my Tend dentist! Dr. Paper! I love the staff, especially Leslie. They all do everything they can to make patients as comfortable as possible. The facility is beautiful and clean. Procedures that I was dreading turned out to be much better than i imagined they would be. I recommend Tend to anybody, especially people who dread dentistry.
Got my teeth whitened here and my teeth are definitely whiter than what they were. I didn’t have any sensitivity at all. The place itself was like a dentist office very clean modern I didn’t see anything out of place or dirty.
The only reason I gave it four stars is, I thought my teeth would be whiter for what I paid.
Did not realize how bad this place was until I went to a new doctor who is more local.
HIGHLY ENCOURAGE everyone to try a local non-chain dentist.
I don't even remember which Tend doctor / hygienist sees me every time bc I am so rushed and no one seems to check my prior records thoroughly. And I saw the doctor (Dr.Parker per my records) for 10 mins before he recommended I redo my cavity filling. I also asked my hygienist many questions, and she assured me that my teeth were in perfect shape. Then the doctor said the opposite info for his 10 minute appearance, and recommended an entirely elective procedure of redo-ing my cavity filling with stronger material that was not covered by insurance. The doctor seemed friendly enough, and I don't think this was his fault but the Tend model is completely broken and rushes doctors to look at a chart and then run off to the next patient.
My new non-Tend doctor spent the full hour with me for the comprehensive exam, and pointed out things I had never been told before in my many years at Tend (like certain areas teeth staining, grinding causes). The new doc also does not think the cavity re-filling is necessary.
Tend was fine for regular teeth cleanings but please spend a little extra time finding a long term dentist if you are as meticulous about your health as much as I am.
