About
Nestled in the heart of Midtown Manhattan at 2 West 45th Street, the Kramer Dental Group, led by Dr. Barry DDS, stands as a beacon of comprehensive oral healthcare and patient-centric dentistry in New York City. For over three decades, this practice has built an impeccable reputation, evolving from a single-dentist office into a trusted group practice that serves the diverse needs of professionals, families, and visitors to the city. The history of the practice is deeply intertwined with Dr. Barry Kramer's personal philosophy of care, which was established upon his graduation from a top-tier dental school and his subsequent commitment to creating a dental home where anxiety is replaced with comfort, and treatment is delivered with precision and compassion. The practice's mission is unequivocal: to provide exceptional, evidence-based dental care in a welcoming and state-of-the-art environment, empowering patients to achieve and maintain optimal oral health for a lifetime. This mission is realized through a holistic approach that considers not just the teeth and gums, but the overall well-being and confidence of each individual who walks through the door.
Dr. Kramer and his team offer a full spectrum of general, cosmetic, and restorative dental services, leveraging cutting-edge technology to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and superior outcomes. The practice's expertise is particularly noted in areas such as cosmetic smile makeovers, dental implantology, and complex full-mouth rehabilitation. What truly sets the Kramer Dental Group apart is its unwavering dedication to a personalized patient experience. From the moment patients enter the modern, soothingly designed office—a stark contrast to the bustling New York streets outside—they are treated with meticulous attention. Each treatment plan is custom-crafted following an exhaustive consultation, ensuring patients are fully informed and collaborative partners in their care. The team invests significant time in patient education, believing that an informed patient is the key to successful long-term health.
The unique value proposition of the Kramer Dental Group rests on three pillars: technological integration, artistic craftsmanship, and genuine relationship-building. The office is equipped with advanced digital dentistry tools, including intraoral scanners that eliminate uncomfortable traditional impressions, cone-beam CT (CBCT) for precise 3D imaging for implants, and laser dentistry for minimally invasive procedures. This technology is wielded by a team of highly skilled clinicians who view dentistry as both a science and an art form, especially evident in their custom ceramic restorations that mimic the natural luminescence and texture of tooth enamel. Furthermore, the practice operates with a transparent communication policy regarding treatment options, timelines, and financial investment, fostering a relationship built on trust. In a city known for impersonal and rushed service, Kramer Dental Group distinguishes itself by allocating generous appointment times, ensuring no patient ever feels hurried, and by maintaining a consistent team that patients come to know over years, if not decades, of care. This commitment to continuity and comfort has cultivated a loyal patient base that spans generations, solidifying the practice's standing as a pillar of the New York dental community and a sanctuary of health in the heart of the city.

Customer Reviews
Dr. kramer is the Mickey Mantle of dentistry!!! Watching him work along side of Sandra reminds me of the A team. Cannot recommend him enough. OUTSTANDING!!!
I was seen on time, they didn't try to sell me stuff, got good service. Very happy with what I got.
Just wanted to say Dr Kramer is my favorite dentist. I will highly recommend him.
I broke a tooth, had to find a new dentist, and went here because it's around the corner from my office and they took my dental insurance. I was given an appointment with Dr. Patel. She was great, professional and took a lot of care to make sure it was done correctly. I had to get a crown and had to go back for several visits. I also wanted a temporary crown until the permanent could get done which was no problem. I was able to make appointments the same day that I called. I highly recommend her.
updated: it's been 6 months since my cap. the tooth has been really sensitive the whole time. i'm too busy to make another appointment and get it fixed even though i know i will have to eventually. it was still great service and i accept partial responsibility for not rescheduling.
When I made the appt the receptionist told me to arrive at 10 and when I did she told me I was early and to have a seat. The doc called me in and seemed rushed and angry. He told me I was there for a whitening and I said I was there for a check up and had some pain and needed a night guard. He said no I was there for a whitening. He cut off my sentences and treated me poorly. He then said “you can’t just come in here and get service when you haven’t filled out any paperwork” I said that was ok I’d fill out the paperwork. He continued to berate me while the receptionist didn’t tell him she told me to be there early and didn’t give me paperwork. He told me he was busy and that it was obvious I needed to fill out the paperwork. Again I assured him I had no problem filling out the paperwork yet he went on and on. I was uncomfortable and a little scared . The thought of someone that reactionary and angry working on my teeth made me much too uncomfortable so I left. When I did they called my husband! That’s illegal. No patient doctor confidentiality.the entire experience was unnerving. In addition his office is small and didn’t seem clean.
