Nestled in the heart of Downtown Brooklyn, Hanson Place Dental stands as a pillar of comprehensive oral health care, serving the diverse community of Brooklyn and the greater New York City area. For years, this esteemed practice has built a reputation not merely as a dental office but as a trusted healthcare partner, committed to elevating the standard of dental care through a harmonious blend of clinical excellence, cutting-edge technology, and genuine patient-centered compassion. The practice's philosophy is rooted in the belief that a healthy, beautiful smile is integral to overall well-being and confidence, driving a mission to provide personalized, high-quality dental care in a comfortable and welcoming environment.

The journey of Hanson Place Dental is one of dedicated service and continuous evolution. Established to address the growing need for accessible, high-caliber dental services in a bustling urban center, the practice has consistently grown by prioritizing patient relationships and clinical outcomes. The team, led by skilled professionals, understands that a visit to the dentist can be a source of anxiety for many. Consequently, every aspect of the practice—from the warm, modern décor to the empathetic communication style of the staff—is meticulously designed to alleviate stress and foster a sense of ease. The mission is unequivocal: to deliver exceptional dental treatments that improve oral health, enhance aesthetics, and educate patients, empowering them to make informed decisions about their care.

Hanson Place Dental distinguishes itself through a comprehensive suite of services that cater to all dental needs under one roof. The practice specializes in both essential general dentistry and advanced cosmetic and restorative procedures. This includes routine preventive care such as examinations, professional cleanings, and digital X-rays, which form the foundation of long-term oral health. Their restorative expertise shines in procedures like tooth-colored fillings, precision-crafted crowns and bridges, durable dentures, and root canal therapy, all aimed at preserving natural teeth and restoring function. A significant pillar of their practice is cosmetic dentistry, where artistry meets science to create stunning smile transformations through porcelain veneers, professional teeth whitening, and invisible aligner therapy, helping patients achieve the confident smile they desire.

What truly sets Hanson Place Dental apart is its unwavering commitment to leveraging state-of-the-art technology to enhance diagnostic accuracy, treatment efficiency, and patient comfort. The practice invests in advanced digital tools, including intraoral cameras that allow patients to see precisely what the dentist sees, and digital impression systems that eliminate the discomfort of traditional molds. This technological integration allows for precise treatment planning, often with faster results and improved predictability. Beyond technology, the practice's unique value proposition lies in its holistic approach. Dentists take the time to conduct thorough consultations, listen to patient concerns and goals, and develop customized treatment plans that align with individual health needs and lifestyles. The team's expertise is not just technical but also communicative, ensuring patients are active participants in their care journey.

Furthermore, the practice's location at 177 Livingston St in Brooklyn is strategic, offering convenience for professionals, families, and residents in the vibrant Downtown area. The ambiance of the office contradicts the sterile, clinical feel often associated with dental visits, featuring a calming atmosphere that immediately puts patients at ease. The staff's commitment to continuing education ensures they remain at the forefront of dental innovations and techniques. Ultimately, Hanson Place Dental has carved its niche by being more than a service provider; it is a community-focused practice where integrity, transparency, and a deep-seated passion for dental health converge. It is a place where patients are known by name, treated with respect, and receive care that consistently exceeds expectations, making it a distinguished leader in Brooklyn's dental landscape.

The work rendered was decent and none painless. The care was extremely rushed with little to no explanation of what was happening and what is needed for follow up care. The doctor (I’m not sure if his name. I signed a paper with doctor delinger name, then asked the nurse for a print out and she gave me the name of Dr. Charram) was extremely rushed and rushed through it all. As of June they do not accept Medicaid or Medicaid subsidy so I must find another dentist that completer the work. Their facility is very OUTDATED and DIRTY! I’m happy to be done with them.

This was my first — and last — visit to this office. I had a 10:00 AM appointment and didn’t leave until 3:00 PM. It took 30 minutes just to receive new patient paperwork, followed by a 1.5-hour wait for X-rays. The X-ray room was dingy, the protective vest had broken Velcro, and the computer kept shutting off while the device was in my mouth, which was uncomfortable and even cut me. After X-rays, I was sent back to the waiting room for another 30 minutes instead of being taken to the next step. When I was finally placed in a room, staff forgot I was there. No one reviewed my X-rays with me — I was simply told I had cavities. The doctor’s bedside manner was poor and disengaged, and I had to move again to another room for a rushed, subpar cleaning. The office was overcrowded and clearly overbooked without proper management. Spending five hours here for this level of care is unacceptable. I would strongly recommend avoiding this office if you value your time and expect basic standards of care.

How is it possible that this establishment continues to operate? It appears to be exploiting the system, particularly taking advantage of vulnerable individuals, including the elderly and those reliant on Medicaid. The conditions here are nothing short of appalling. Have you ever experienced a long wait for food at a restaurant, only to be served a meal that was subpar and even left you feeling unwell? This place is far worse. I've come across several reviews regarding the front desk staff, who seem to be the only redeeming aspect of this facility. My own experience began with a four-hour wait for an appointment, despite my punctuality. This raises the question: what is the purpose of scheduling appointments if they are not honored? When I finally saw Dr. Gene Shankman, he did not even examine my mouth before declaring that I merely needed a cleaning. I informed him about my impacted tooth that was causing discomfort, yet he failed to conduct a proper examination. Afterward, I returned to the waiting area, where I encountered the hygienist assigned to clean my teeth. Unfortunately, her work was so poor that when I requested her name, she outright refused to provide it. I managed to find out that her name is Nadia Boytsova. The cleaning was inadequate; I could still feel the plaque on my wisdom tooth after she had spent mere seconds on it. This establishment appears to prioritize profit over patient care. I strongly advise anyone who values their time and well-being to avoid this place at all costs. I literally wasted my whole day off waiting for a subpar cleaning, only to be informed that the oral surgeon wasn’t available and given information about my teeth that I already knew.

The staff is busy because it seems the office book too many people at once. I arrived at 11:30 and still wasn't seen by the time we left at 2:45, but they made sure they ran the insurance and got paid. For $20 CityTech Dental school does a more thorough job cleaning your teeth. My eldest daughter stayed behind for her cleaning. Their hygienist basically did a quick brush and spray in your mouth, leaving her feeling very unsatisfied. One appointment and I’m back on the search for a new dentist.

If i could give this place negative zero stars, I would. I came to these ppl with a failed root canal. In their somewhat defense i learned dentist cant see SQUAT on those xray machines and i learned all if not MOST dentist are conniving liars. With that said i cane to them with a failed root canal they said nothing could be done to save that tooth and i needed to extract. So i took my molar out Dr David baladov was nice he was kind and he was informative he extracted my tooth in a timely fashion as i cried mourning the loss and knowing i would never be the same after that procedure, as my mouth and smile was being destroyed. His assistant was a doll i gifted them both because in my turmoil the gave me some ease. The lady virginia there is nice too its Not her fault that Hanson Dental are THIEVES. I should Have known better to shop around but no one told me fidelis didnt cover bone graft and they slapped me with a WHOPPING 1400$ charge for this. I was robbed! Two months later i learned that bone grafts cost between 400-800$. The front desk staff is annoyed as soon as u ring their doorbell(its the only way to enter) they leave u waiting out front until THEY feel like buzzing u in. When u enter everyone rolls their eyes and they look disgusted. No one has any courtesy no hello ty or explanation. They have huge tvs and A large bathroom, ALL seating is UNCOMFORTABLE bring a cushion. There will be a wait! There is no parking around there best way is R train to lawrence. I will never go back there and i would never recommend this place to anyone. Never call because they NEVER answer you can only email them. Only if theres a problem with billing do they call u. They called me 24 times saying i need to come in and sign so they can get paid but when i had pain in the tooth next to the extraction wound, it was crickets. Well im glad i can let the public know what I experienced there. You need referrals to be seen here unless u r their patient. Good luck to u all.
