About

Jericho Road Family Dental, situated at 1021 Broadway Floor 2 in Buffalo, New York, stands as a pillar of comprehensive oral healthcare in the historic Broadway-Fillmore district. More than just a dental practice, it is an integral part of the Jericho Road Community Health Center network, a fact that fundamentally shapes its mission and approach to care. Founded on the principle that exceptional dental health is a right, not a privilege, the practice is built upon a legacy of serving the diverse and vibrant communities of Buffalo with compassion, clinical excellence, and cultural sensitivity. Its location in a federally qualified health center (FQHC) underscores a deep commitment to accessible care for all, including underserved populations, insured and uninsured patients alike, and those from varied cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

The practice's mission is inextricably linked to the broader Jericho Road vision of providing 'whole-person' healthcare that addresses physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. For the dental team, this translates into a patient-centric philosophy that treats individuals, not just teeth. They understand that dental anxiety and financial barriers are significant hurdles for many, and they have systematically worked to create a welcoming, low-stress environment where trust is paramount. The practice is known for its multilingual staff, accommodating a wide array of patients including Buffalo's significant refugee and immigrant communities, ensuring that language is never a barrier to receiving quality care.

Jericho Road Family Dental distinguishes itself through its unique fusion of a community health center's heart with the advanced capabilities of a modern private dental practice. While deeply rooted in compassionate, accessible care, the practice does not compromise on technology or expertise. They invest in contemporary digital dentistry tools, including digital X-rays and modern sterilization protocols, to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe treatments. The team of dental professionals, including skilled dentists, hygienists, and assistants, is dedicated to continuous education, staying abreast of the latest techniques in general, restorative, and preventive dentistry.

What truly sets this business apart is its holistic and integrative model. As part of Jericho Road Community Health Center, patients have seamless access to a full spectrum of medical, behavioral, and social services. This interdisciplinary approach is revolutionary in dental care; a dentist can consult directly with a patient's primary care physician or behavioral health counselor, ensuring that oral health is treated in the context of overall wellness. For example, they are acutely aware of the oral-systemic health link, addressing how diabetes, cardiovascular health, and nutrition impact dental conditions and vice-versa.

The practice's service range is meticulously designed to meet the needs of entire families, from young children requiring their first check-up to seniors in need of complex restorative work. They emphasize long-term relationships, focusing on patient education and preventive care as the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles. In a competitive landscape, Jericho Road Family Dental's unique value proposition is clear: it offers the highest standard of clinical dentistry delivered with unparalleled empathy, accessibility, and a genuine commitment to the holistic well-being of the Buffalo community. It is a place where clinical excellence meets social justice, creating a dental home that is both technically proficient and profoundly human.

I visited this dental office a couple of days ago to receive my wife’s dental bridge. The dentist was excellent-professional, caring, and very patient-focused. Unfortunately, the front desk staff handled a payment issue poorly, blamed the patient despite bank confirmation, and made the situation uncomfortable. The quality of care deserves better front-desk professionalism. I hope management addresses this.

Whoever the receptionist with braids and glasses is, is very rude and if you don’t like your job, you shouldn’t work there.

If I could give ZERO stars, I would. This is by far the worst dental office I’ve ever dealt with — unprofessional, disorganized, and downright disrespectful. For TWO MONTHS I tried to get my son a simple cleaning appointment. Finally, he was scheduled for July 29th. A week before, someone from this office called and said his appointment was moved from 12 PM to 4 PM because of the staff’s “lunch break.” I confirmed it TWICE over the phone. Yet when I arrived at 4 PM on the 29th, the receptionist claimed he “missed” his 12 PM appointment — the one THEY changed! No apology, no accountability, nothing. Just rude, dismissive attitude. They gave me another appointment for July 31st at 12 PM. When I arrived today, the receptionist was fine, but the tall white dental hygienist was beyond unprofessional — rude to me and to my child. She acted like she didn’t even want to work on my son. She questioned me harshly about what my son eats, and when I asked if she was okay, she snapped and told me I should take him to a pediatric dentist because she is not trained for children!! Excuse me? If you’re “not trained for children,” WHY did you give my child an appointment in the first place? This place treats patients like they’re doing us a favor, especially immigrant families like mine. Just because this clinic is “convenient” for certain communities doesn’t mean you can treat people like garbage. I was shocked to see this kind of behavior from healthcare workers. Jericho Road Family Dental should be ashamed of themselves. The way they talk to patients, the way they mishandle appointments, and their lack of basic respect is disgusting. I would NEVER trust them again with my child’s care. I even tried to contact Jericho Road through the email they share under negative Google reviews ; the same one where they usually ask people to reach out so they can “look into it.” I sent a detailed, professional email days ago. No one has responded. It’s clear they don’t care enough to actually investigate patient complaints. It’s all for show. Avoid this place at all costs. They don’t deserve even one star.

Let me tell you something, they treat people like they're less than dirt, you have an appointment every single place gives you 15 minutes they give you zero to be late, now you don't know if people have to go to the bathroom or not regardless to the fact some people come in there and they're geriatric, common courtesy and decency come with common sense
