About

Nestled in the Irondequoit community of Rochester, New York, Wilson Dental at 728 East Ridge Road stands as a cornerstone of comprehensive oral healthcare, renowned for its patient-centered philosophy, clinical excellence, and deep commitment to the families it serves. For decades, this established practice has built a legacy not just on treating teeth, but on cultivating lasting relationships, fostering a warm and welcoming environment where dental anxiety is alleviated and every patient is treated as an individual. The practice’s story is interwoven with the history of the Rochester area, evolving from a traditional family dentistry model into a state-of-the-art facility that seamlessly blends advanced technology with old-fashioned compassionate care. The mission of Wilson Dental is unequivocal: to empower patients to achieve and maintain optimal oral health for a lifetime through education, superior clinical treatment, and a foundation of trust. This mission is driven by a belief that exceptional dentistry is a collaborative journey between the dedicated dental team and an informed, comfortable patient.

What truly sets Wilson Dental apart is its holistic and preventative approach. The practice operates on the core principle that oral health is intrinsically linked to overall systemic health. Therefore, appointments are never rushed; they are comprehensive consultations where hygienists and dentists take the time to conduct thorough examinations, discuss findings in clear, understandable terms, and co-create personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique needs, goals, and budget. The team’s expertise spans the full spectrum of general, restorative, and cosmetic dentistry, allowing them to address everything from routine preventive care to complex full-mouth rehabilitations under one roof. This continuity of care ensures consistency, builds deep familiarity with each patient's history, and eliminates the need for inconvenient referrals for most procedures.

The practice's unique value proposition is built on three pillars: technology, compassion, and education. Wilson Dental invests in cutting-edge technology to enhance diagnostic accuracy, treatment efficiency, and patient comfort. This includes digital X-rays that reduce radiation exposure, intraoral cameras that allow patients to see exactly what the dentist sees, and modern treatment options like laser dentistry and CAD/CAM same-day crowns. However, this technology is never cold or impersonal; it is wielded by a team whose chairside manner is consistently praised. From the warm greeting at the front desk to the gentle, reassuring approach of the clinical staff, every interaction is designed to make patients feel at ease, especially those who have previously avoided dental care due to fear.

Furthermore, Wilson Dental distinguishes itself through its unwavering focus on patient education. The team acts as coaches and guides, demystifying dental procedures, explaining the 'why' behind recommendations, and providing patients with the knowledge and tools necessary to take an active role in their oral health between visits. This educational commitment, combined with a meticulously clean and modern office environment, creates an experience that transcends typical dental visits. The practice has cultivated a multi-generational patient base, with grandparents, parents, and children all trusting their smiles to the same caring team—a testament to the enduring relationships and community trust they have fostered. In a field often associated with anxiety, Wilson Dental has successfully created a destination where comprehensive care, advanced technology, and genuine human connection converge to redefine what it means to visit the dentist.

Dr. G did a great job on my fillings. Dr. Rassoul was great on my root canals. I'm happy my mother talked me into coming to the dentist. All my services was great with no problems. Thank You, M.Perry!

The receptionist was nice, the young dental assistant was very nice and patient. The hygienest was thorough. For the amount of people in the waiting room I counted 34 people. 10:30 on a Monday. They got the job done. They were all professional. I got a feeling they are under a lot of pressure to get a lot of people through there in a short amount of time.

Extremely rough cleanings , had multiple appointments, sometimes only completing one side of tooth at a time instead of the full tooth, had work completed months ago and fillings are falling out, severely mis colored , mis shaped and after having certain ones "fixed" same issues arise. They won't let you see a different provider, it seems the one old lady with glasses cant see clearly or hold her hand steady, she is rude and treats post partum pregnancy patients like the dental issues are their fault. She burned my bottom lip while grinding and all she does is grind but barely fill. I had Denton filled elsewhere years ago and the tooth looked flawless. We had incredible insurance until my husband was permanently injured at work loosing a full income. Dental work here does not repair the tooth, it just slaps a small layer of something yellow that falls off a month or so later and they do not clear the entire cavity knowing they will bill more later. When you call to address the issues, They put you on hold and dont return to the call. I paid a good dentist out of pocket recently as I didn't believe my dental work was all done, as Wilson dental dentist stated it was , and this dentist determined multiple areas done incorrectly or completely incomplete while insurance was billed for things that were still untouched. I have multiple teeth areas she never actually did, although had multiple shots, one time 6 for one side of a tooth. They spend 10 minutes with you during the entire bill time while going from your room to multiple patients rooms without changing face covering, cleaning themselves... she will drill your tooth and then come straight to the next room and do theirs. Your not supposed to see the fillings and Crack lines in fillings nor are they supposed to look sunken in as you leave the office the day the filling is done. I just lost 1/4 of a tooth filling that was drilled extremely deep, from flossing my teeth. Flossing is non abrasive. This is the same tooth I complained about hurting, being improper, catching everything I ate and had been told she fixed it .....here we are maybe 2 months later and theres a massive chuck gone. I brush, I floss, I whiten. Explain how something done twice, is still wrong. And How another dentist , advises of fillings that were never ever done but Wilson will argue that your dental work is completely done. Its been 2 months, hence getting a second opinion this fast. This is fraud and why they are being investigating as they are. Do not come here , you'll pay put of pocket in the end anyways somewhere else. They will grind your teeth and never reshape and clearly have no idea how to repair a cavity or Denton damage properly. Check out what Completed and finished dentistry looks like here Also, they pitched 5 rootcanals, and wanted them done before insurance approved. Insurance denied several. The outnof pocket dentist CAN SAVE EVERY SINGLE TOOTH.

Horrible and unprofessional. Went there for extraction. They made me wait months to get approval and sent me home with pain. Then I need a bridge. Took over a year to do. Appointments are set. I take days off then they cancell. We had approvals for everything and paid the difference cash. 400 and change, they demanded I pay before services. They waited untill the approval expired , then made me wait again for new approval to finish last stage. Everything was paid for already, now I am getting a bill for 400 and change. I am not going to call and not going to do anything with them ever again. If it goes to collection, I will report them to BBB for unfair practices. Look for a place that cares about you. They are for profit and don't care about anything more than money. Most of the time they are more focused on what country I was from and talking about Jews or Middle East than service . I look Indian, my wife and kids all have had bad experiences with this place . My wife services where covered now she is getting a bill for over 1000 for root canal and extraction. I work for United health care and have a dental plan with them for my family. They refuse to do work untill they get approvals, yet we get billed again after it's approved or defence is paid upfront. I am giving them a chance to fix it on their own. If not it's some kind of fraudulent billing system that needs to be investigated. I am just waiting for their next move before I call BBB . If you want to make dentist rich, by all means go. If you want service find somewhere else or travel overseas. That's what I am doing now

Just finished calling the office. Will not be returning, I would rather go somewhere else and pay out of pocket. I couldn't get time off to make my appointment, I get a text the day before saying I have to call and confirm my appointment by 2pm or its AUTOMATICALLY CANCELED. It says its in black and white in their text message! So I call today to reschedule for my crown, and she says that it is a mark against me because im still on the books. I didnt call because I was at work and as a kitchen manager I didnt have 2 seconds to breathe let alone make a personal call during work. She tells me that those text messages are to encourage people to call in. So you mean to tell me if I didnt call, and still drove 2.5 hours down there for my appointment, I'd still have one? Who wants to take that chance and spend 5 hours on the road when the text messahe THEY send out says its automatically canceled?! Im just so over being treated like crap because I have government insurance. Im a widow raising 3 kids! That's why I have government insurance, not that someone should have to explain themseleves in order to be treated nicely. Ive always been on time for my appointments but ive waited in the waiting room 45 minutes for an appointmenti was 15 mins early for. Went up to ask the receptionist how much longer it might be and her exact words were "well unfortunately my crystal ball isn't working right now." Not to mention my unpolished tooth that you guys did a filling on that was rough for weeks after. Ive never had a filling make my mouth hurt afterwards till I came to you guys. My gums ached for days afterwards like id had a tooth pulled.
