Our two-year-old son had his very first dentist appointment with Dr. Shea and her team today and it was such a great experience! Everyone was so kind and patient, which was so comforting. They are very quick and efficient too, which made it evident that they have a lot of experience working with very young children! Would definitely recommend!

I came in a week early by accident and everybody made accommodations to put us in a chair and get the kids done as quick as possible! I can’t thank everybody enough for the opportunity to be done the same day I came in! X-rays and cleanings!!! I seriously can’t stop taking these ladies here! Simply amazing and blown away with how happy and eagerly happy to help! I love this place and all the employees! I would recommend this dentist to anybody with children!

It’s always a pleasure coming to this office. Dr. Shea is a no muss no fuss doctor. She lets you know what’s needed. There are no surprises. The staff is kind and caring and my kids both leave with a smile.

If a zero Star rating was possible that is what I would have selected. If you are considering Dr. Shea please do yourself a favor and run the other direction. We had been with Dr. Shea for a couple of years and her practice of treating children is borderline if not abusive. They do not let you back with your children, who are minors for any treatment. My 5 year old had a cleaning, got in the chair and sat with no problem, she got scared when they turned on the suction and their initial response was to push her back down and they encourage you to pin down your child. THIS IS NOT OK! When they did a filling on my 5 year old she was screaming in a way I have never heard and then the screaming suddenly stopped. I asked if she was finished and they said "no she fell asleep" What I am assuming happened is she passed out from all the screaming and them pinning her down. This is traumatizing for a child. Then my older daughter (9years) told me the last time she had a filling she started crying because the Novocain shot hurt and Dr. Shea covered her mouth and told her to stop crying, again completely unacceptable. They will also charge you a $30 fee to have someone "hold their hand" and call them an emotional support person when in all likelihood they are pinning you child to the chair. They also have a practice they call the papoose which is really just a board they put down under your child and physically strap them to it. That was the last straw, that is abusive and my child will not be held down or strapped down. When we left this practice I was told my 9 year old had another cavity and upon going to a new dentist for a cleaning she is surprisingly cavity free. Advocate for your children and please do not take them to Dr. Shea. My 5 year old is traumatized and now scared of the dentist thanks to Dr. Shea. She does not have any bedside manner and in my opinion should not be working with children. I do want to say that the young girl at the front desk is absolutely wonderful, but that was the only good thing about this practice.
