Montefiore Medical Center Department of Dentistry

This is the best dentist I've been to so far in the Bronx ( Blondell Avenue). However for the last year and a half it has been extremely difficult to get an appointment. They have now set up some kind of waiting list system which has similar odds as the lottery, which is not working. I would have given 5 stars if it weren't for the difficulty in getting an appointment.

They altered the price after the procedure was completed and introduced additional fees. If the payment was made in full, the monthly plan became even more expensive, with interest added on top of late fees if the payment couldn’t be made.

What a disaster of a practice. They took over my local dentist and promised to move records and appts seamlessly . Haven't heard from them since. Call the main office and get message that it's closed after hours. Well it's 2 pm EST.

i have been calling every month and the take my name and number and i don't receive a call back. Montefiore wants the pt to call everyday to see if they have available appointments. what is the point of the operator taking you information when you never get a call back or get appointment. they give other number to call and its the same issue. what is the point of calling every week if its the same issue. i see Montefiore is not worth going people find a different dentist to go to.

Went there on November 17th with a friend who was badly injured after an accident he was referred to complete an oral exam . Upon arrival we were told he would be placed as a walk in even after he was given an appt for 11:30 We got there at 10:46 am and was not called until after 3pm to be seen after having making several attempts to the front desk to find out when he would be seen . After having a conversation with the manager Maritza as far as the long wait she had an attitude when I mention that I would be writing a review her reply was that they often get bad reviews I was very shock to hear that statement from a manager from any facility that should not be something to be proud to say to a patient are not any paying customer but it so obvious when one doesn’t care about other people well being and neither there job because you would think that she would be the one to be apologetic and make sure that patient feel more welcome and want to return . Be prepared that if you go to this facility expect to wait several hours to be seen and to make matters worse Maritza is proud to say they get bad reviews daily that’s bad customer service you would expect that from one of her staff but not such response coming from a manager .So that answers your question as far as wanting to make an appt at this facility don’t think twice
