NY Legacy Dentistry Stephanie Alvarez D.M.D. & Yannis Koroneos D.M.D

I had been seeing my previous dentist for years and was always very satisfied with his cleanings and fillings. When he retired last year, he referred me to Dr. Koroneos at the same office. Dr. Koroneos took great care of me right away — he did a cleaning and a small filling, and everything was excellent. Later, my fiancé also needed a cleaning, so we went back to the same office. By that time, the practice had been transitioned to Dr. Koroneos’ wife, Dr. Alvarez. Since December, we have both been regular patients there. We’ve had cleanings, fillings, and even whitening treatments, and we’re extremely happy with the results. One of the things I love most is their new technology: you can see your entire mouth in 3D on a touch screen, rotate it with your finger, and view your teeth from every angle with amazing accuracy. It makes everything so much clearer and more interactive. I also want to mention their receptionist, Eleni. She is incredibly kind, warm, and professional. She always greets us with a smile, calls ahead to confirm our appointments, and makes sure everything runs smoothly. Her friendly presence adds so much to the welcoming atmosphere of the office. Dr. Koroneos and Dr. Alvarez are excellent professionals — friendly, approachable, and very thorough. Their team is wonderful, and the whole experience is top-notch. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist who combines experience, technology, and genuine care. Ευχαριστώ

My periodontal surgeon highly recommended Dr. Yanni Koroneos in Astoria, which is not far from where I live. I went for a cleaning and he spent so much time with me explaining all of my dental issues and what I should look forward to in the future. This is not a corporate dental Mill where they seem to just want to do more and more procedures for the money. I felt very relaxed and comfortable in this office. This was probably the best dental visit I’ve ever had!

A True Professional with a Heart of Gold Dr. Koroneos is hands down one of the best dentists I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. I came in with a problem molar, and not only did he do incredible work, but he also went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable every step of the way. From the moment I walked into his office, I felt like I was in good hands. He took the time to explain everything in a clear and reassuring way, and you could tell he genuinely cared about getting things right—not just quickly, but perfectly. His attention to detail, steady hand, and compassionate approach made what could have been a stressful visit feel smooth and even pleasant. It’s rare to find a dentist who combines skill, professionalism, and kindness the way Dr. Koroneos does. If you’re looking for someone who will treat you like more than just a patient and truly care about your experience and outcome, I can’t recommend him enough. Five stars all the way.

Dr. Stephanie is amazing! I went in for a cleaning today, and after getting it done by her, I realized I never had a proper cleaning before from any dentist! She is very detailed, patient, and caring. She took her time - did an amazing job - I did not feel rushed out of the office at all! They have very high tech tools in there, she showed my treatment plan on the tool it was very easy to understand. I'd recommend to anyone!

Love love love this office. Dr. Koroneos and Dr. Alvarez are true professionals! The office is clean and staff is friendly. Helen at the front is the best and will go out of her way for you. This is NOT a big box corporate office that will make you feel like a number. I always feel comfortable here and have referred all my friends and family that are in Astoria.
