Pathetic service. If you need to be seen don’t come here. I was referred on from the 50th street because I needed an X-ray on my chest. The waiting room emptied only to fill and empty again. Went multiple times to the front desk to ask if I would be seen. Her responses was there are people are ahead of you. A door dash delivery driver came in to drop off food. When the front desk women went to hand it off she asked the RN “is Jeff able to see someone for a x-ray” the RN responded “he is free”. I waited another 20 min to be seen from that interaction that I over heard.
HORRIBLE experience. Completely misdiagnosed and misled... came in with awful flu symptoms after 5 days, got covid/flu tested, results came back negative. Didn't even see a doc... the PA David Figueroa diagnosed me with having bronchitis and gave a nebulizer and prescribed mucinex and ibuprofen (like.. okay? I can get these things OTC). Turns out I just got a phone call that the results they sent out came back positive for Influenza A... Was completely misdiagnosed and misled... horrible customer care and poor medical knowledge.
I went to this facility for an XRAY, had to wait more than 30 min (I was the only patient waiting) i was advised that the office was going to call me to schedule me for an ortho consultation but no one did and when I called they told me they didn’t accept my insurance so that’s why I didn’t receive a call not even to tell me that information above. I called 86th st to obtain medical records so I can go to another doctor and the lady who picks up the phone left me waiting for 15 minutes, I hung up and called again only for her to tell me that she forgot to transfer my call and then transfers me to an automated system that sends me a link to request my records. This place needs personal who care about the patients not people who are just there to receive their paycheck and give poor attention to the patients.
I came to the East 86th St. CityMD on June 25th, 2025 and expressed that I was suffering from heat related illness. The nice gentleman at the front desk checked me in immediately and I was taken to a room to be treated. He also gave me a cold bottle of water. I explained to Dr. Tatyana Kallman and the nurse that I was unable to feel the temperature of the room, my body was not cooling down after being inside for two hours, and momentarily felt slightly dizzy when I was speaking with a colleague. I was scared because I know how dangerous heat related illness can be. After checking my blood glucose levels (they were normal) My BP, (which was dangerously high : 167/117) and asking questions about my daily routine, Dr. Kallman concluded that my symptoms were low blood sugar due to me not eating breakfast. I explained to Dr. Kallman that I never eat breakfast and that the extreme heat was the cause of my symptoms. After a while I was given cold packs for my neck and chest to help regulate my body temperature. My blood pressure slowly decreased but never got to the normal range. My blood pressure was still relatively high when I was told that I just needed to go home, eat, and rest. I was given discharge papers stating near syncope, when I clearly stated the heat related symptoms. I followed up with my primary doctor 1 week later (earliest appointment). I informed my doctor of my medical emergency the previous week and explained the symptoms I experienced. My doctor said that I likely suffered a heat stroke, not low blood sugar. I had a complete physical done including an EKG and kidney function test to ensure that my organs were stable following the heat stroke. I only ask that the Doctors learn to listen to the patient, REALLY listen, and not just make assumptions about our health. Heat stroke is a serious medical emergency that can be fatal if not treated correctly in a timely manner. I thank God for covering me that day.
