About

Advanced Dental NYC Orthodontic & Pediatric Dentistry, located at 231 E 106th St #1c, New York, NY 10029, stands as a premier destination for specialized children's dental care in the heart of East Harlem, Manhattan. This state-of-the-art practice is dedicated exclusively to pediatric dentistry and orthodontics, serving children from infancy through adolescence—typically ages 0 to 16 years—with a mission to foster lifelong oral health through gentle, preventive, and innovative treatments. Established as part of the broader Advanced Dental network, which has been serving New York communities for over a decade (with roots traceable to practices operating since around 2015 based on copyright notices), Advanced Dental NYC has built a reputation for transforming dental visits into positive, enjoyable experiences that alleviate common childhood fears associated with dentistry.

The history of Advanced Dental NYC reflects a commitment to pediatric excellence amid New York City's diverse and bustling landscape. Emerging from the Dental Arts Press ecosystem, the practice has evolved to focus on young patients, drawing from affiliations with highly trained specialists who bring Ivy League pedigrees and advanced residencies. While exact founding dates are not publicly detailed, the clinic's consistent presence since at least 2015, as noted in operational copyrights, underscores its stability and growth. It serves key neighborhoods including East Side Manhattan, Harlem, and surrounding zip codes like 10029, 10027, and beyond into the Bronx and Brooklyn, making high-quality care accessible to urban families.

At the core of Advanced Dental NYC's mission is the belief that every child deserves a 'dental home'—a recommendation echoed by the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry for establishment by age one. The practice prioritizes preventive care to avert future issues, emphasizing early intervention in orthodontics and routine maintenance to ensure cavity-free smiles. Their expertise lies in the hands of board-certified professionals, akin to those in the network like Dr. Tomer Madar (DDS from Columbia University, pediatric residency at Jacobi Medical Center) and Dr. Geena Bell (DDS from Stony Brook, certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, residency at Maimonides). These specialists undergo 2-3 additional years of training beyond general dentistry, equipping them to manage orofacial development, bite corrections, and child-specific anxieties with precision and empathy.

Services encompass a full spectrum of pediatric needs: comprehensive exams and orthodontic screenings, gentle cleanings with oral hygiene education, digital X-rays for tooth development assessment, fluoride treatments, protective sealants, space maintainers, growth modification, and Phase 1 early orthodontic braces. Early orthodontic therapy is a hallmark, allowing bite corrections during growth phases to simplify future treatments and promote natural smile perfection. The practice employs advanced technology, including nitrous oxide (laughing gas) for comfort, ensuring a fun, relaxed environment that keeps parents informed at every step.

What sets Advanced Dental NYC apart is its unique value proposition: a child-centric approach in a friendly, non-intimidating setting that contrasts sharply with general dental offices. Unlike standard dentists, their pediatric specialists are uniquely qualified for young patients' unique needs, from teething infants to teens requiring braces. Flexible scheduling—open Monday to Sunday with weekends and late evenings—caters to busy families, while acceptance of all major insurances (Aetna, Cigna Global, United Concordia) and tailored payment plans removes financial barriers. Patient reviews highlight the staff's warmth, with parents noting children feel 'safe and comfortable,' and long-term loyalty spanning years. This focus on communication, exceeding expectations, and using kid-friendly techniques like minimal-anesthesia options (inspired by network advancements) positions them as leaders in preventive pediatric dentistry.

In a city saturated with dental options, Advanced Dental NYC distinguishes itself through its unwavering dedication to early intervention, preventing costly future procedures and promoting overall health. By creating positive associations with dental care, they empower children to maintain healthy smiles into adulthood, reducing the prevalence of decay and misalignment. Their location in a vibrant community hub further enhances accessibility, solidifying their role as the go-to for Harlem and East Manhattan families seeking expert, compassionate care that goes beyond treatment to build confidence and well-being. With glowing testimonials praising doctors like 'Doc Victoria' for gentle care, Advanced Dental NYC continues to set the standard for pediatric excellence in NYC.

I bring our kids (4yr and 7) here for cleanings and procedures, morning appts are quicker! I feel it’s still worth the wait when the assistants are so kind and the Drs are so knowledgeable and efficient!

Both my sons visit this clinic and I am very satisfied with the staff and expertise. The doctor's approach to children is very good. And the waiting time is short.

This practice lacks transparency and staff. No play area for toddlers, and had my wife and kid waiting over an hour just for us not to be seen. Also the intake process needs to be edited and a little more thorough and also a list of possible referrals to prevent this kind of experience. Massive opportunity for improvement.

My daughter and I waited an hour to be seen. This experience was terrible especially due to it being my daughter’s first time going to the dentist. I highly do not recommend this office at all especially for toddlers. If your child has seen other specialist please make a referral if planning on going. Overall, horrible experience and they weren’t even able to print paperwork. HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Unfortunate Doctor Olga is deceptive and simply wanted to run my insurance as much as possible and make me pay for “laughing gas” when there was no need for it. I showed X rays to 3 dentists , after the aforementioned dentist told me that my daughter needed a root cancel and 3 feelings and a crown. My daughter is only 5 yo and it sounded little excessive so I decided to have second option I ended up asking 3 more dentists -and all of them said the same thing : No need for it. Very disappointing as it is simply unethical!!
