About
Nestled in the heart of Lackawanna, New York, Baker Victory Dental Center (entered via Baker Alley) stands as a cornerstone of comprehensive oral health care, deeply rooted in a legacy of compassionate community service. Operating from its location at 790 Ridge Road, this dental practice is far more than a typical clinic; it is an integral part of the historic OLV Charities network, an organization founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph. This connection imbues the center with a mission-driven philosophy that prioritizes patient dignity, accessibility, and holistic well-being above all else. The center’s name itself, 'Baker Victory,' honors the legacy of Father Nelson H. Baker, a revered figure in Western New York known for his unwavering commitment to serving children and families in need. This foundational spirit is palpable in every aspect of the dental center's operations, setting it apart as an institution where clinical excellence and charitable mission converge.
The history of Baker Victory Dental Center is intertwined with the over 150-year legacy of Our Lady of Victory (OLV) institutions. What began as an orphanage and home for infants has evolved into a vast network of social, educational, and healthcare services. The dental center represents a critical component of this healthcare continuum, established to address a vital need for accessible, high-quality dental services for the entire community, with a special emphasis on serving vulnerable populations, including children, seniors, and low-income families. For decades, it has built a reputation as a trusted provider where patients are treated not just as cases, but as individuals deserving of respect and comprehensive care.
The mission of Baker Victory Dental Center is unequivocal: to provide exceptional, affordable dental care in a welcoming and supportive environment that aligns with the healing ministry and values of its founding organization. This translates into a practice that actively works to reduce barriers to dental care, whether financial, psychological, or physical. The center’s unique value proposition lies in this powerful combination of top-tier dental medicine and a profoundly patient-centric, service-oriented culture. It is a place where the latest dental technologies and techniques are employed by skilled professionals who are equally dedicated to patient education and comfort.
What truly sets Baker Victory Dental Center apart from conventional private practices is its integrated community focus. While offering a full suite of general and specialized dental services to all patients, it maintains a deep commitment to serving Medicaid recipients and those with limited financial means, ensuring that quality dental care is not a privilege but a right accessible to everyone. The atmosphere is deliberately designed to be warm and reassuring, especially for anxious patients and children. The staff, from the dentists and hygienists to the front office team, are selected not only for their professional credentials but for their empathy and commitment to the center's charitable ethos.
The expertise within the practice spans the full spectrum of family dentistry. The clinical team brings together years of experience in preventive care, restorative procedures, and cosmetic dentistry. This expertise is coupled with a continuous investment in modern equipment, such as digital X-rays and contemporary sterilization systems, ensuring both precision in treatment and patient safety. However, the center’s greatest strength is its holistic approach, considering a patient's overall health, lifestyle, and personal circumstances when creating a treatment plan. This patient-first philosophy, backed by a storied history of community service and a non-profit heart, makes Baker Victory Dental Center a unique and indispensable healthcare partner in the Lackawanna and greater Buffalo region.

Customer Reviews
Very friendly and compassionate staff. Fast past work and well done job for greater personal satisfaction. I will recommend the Clinic to any age.😁
They wouldn’t see me after I been pregnant back to back so they wouldn’t touch me. Now I’m left with a hole in my tooth and they are a joke been going to them for years before. I guess don’t get pregnant or else they drop you as a patient
I had a appointment in December of last yr ,the dentist filled a cavity and that night my tooth was very sore. I gave it another day and the pain was getting worse. I called the office to get in to be seen and it took till the following week. At that appointment they told me my tooth was now infected and needed a root canal. They said they would sent the prior auth in and it should be only a week or two to get approval. After two weeks I had called the office to find out why they didn't send it to my insurance company, "cause I called and the insurance company said they would approve it right away ". The said oh they forgot. And they would send it.Another two weeks went by i called again and was told they would do it this time and to give it 3 weeks. Meanwhile im in pain and asked if they could just pull the tooth..the office just said they'll get this paperwork in. To shorten this. They never sent in any paperwork and I went to a different dentist after 2 months and they pulled the tooth right away. They said the filling the other dentist at baker dentist drilled to close to the pulp and that could of introduced a infection when it was exposed. It was very infected. I just want others to know baker victory dentist office personal are horrible for not doing there job. After complains of me being in pain I had no call from any dentist. The one dentist who did my filling should go for more training. If the dentist office can't do there jobs they should close. I wouldn't take my dog there. Also they don't even deserve a star it should be a negative one ..I would think hard or look to see if you could elsewhere before choosing this place.
I will let my teeth rot out of my mouth before I ever come back to this run down sorry excuse of a dental office. I went to my appointment, and the young Asian male dentist severely lacked interpersonal skills. When he was filling my cavity, it hurt, I raised my hand, and he just said “I know” and keep going. Oh and did not even tell me which tooth they were doing either. Later in the appt I had a huge panic attack and he says nothing. Then carry’s on with the filling. Not one “are you okay?” Or “how are you doing?” Then when I checked out I told the receptionist I wanted a different dentist for my next appt. Well my next appt comes that I had to move around my busy schedule for, and here walks in the same “dentist”!!! The receptionist I spoke to the first time never recorded that I requested a different dentist!!! The receptionist comes in and tells me “oh we have to make you a different appt” bc of their mistake. Yeah no I’m good I’ll let my teeth rot out of my mouth before I go near this office ever again. The way that young asian male dentist treats patients is absolutely unacceptable. You work in healthcare, maybe learn some basic people skills!!
OLV dental should be investigated for the manner in which they interact with patients. I have a Medicaid Dental Plan, it doesnt reduce the fact that I am a human with feelings and emotions.
Not everyone who has teeth issues is a drug addict, or dirty or undeserving. The hygienist didnt listen to my concerns, I attempted to convery my anxiety and the deep rooted fears I have, she blew me off, mumbled and turned her back to me. The dentist lectured me, humiliated me, told me i will never get the results i want then threw in an insult to end the appointment.
