About

Nestled in the heart of Battery Park City at 375 South End Avenue, Battery Park Pediatric & Orthodontic Dentists stands as a beacon of comprehensive oral health care for children, adolescents, and adults seeking orthodontic treatment in Lower Manhattan. This distinguished practice is built upon a foundational belief that early dental experiences shape lifelong attitudes towards oral health, and as such, they have dedicated themselves to creating a dental home that is as nurturing as it is technologically advanced. Founded by leading specialists, the practice uniquely combines the expertise of board-certified pediatric dentists and orthodontists under one roof, offering a seamless continuum of care that is rare in the bustling New York City dental landscape. Their mission extends beyond treating teeth; they aim to foster a positive, fear-free environment where every child feels safe, valued, and empowered, while providing adults with cutting-edge orthodontic solutions in the same comforting setting. The practice's history is rooted in a response to the growing need for specialized pediatric dental care in the Battery Park and Financial District communities, transforming from a visionary idea into a cornerstone family health practice known for its clinical excellence and compassionate approach. What truly sets Battery Park Pediatric & Orthodontic Dentists apart is their holistic, child-centric philosophy. From the moment families enter the thoughtfully designed office—featuring warm, welcoming decor, interactive elements, and a panoramic view that distracts and delights—they are immersed in an atmosphere deliberately crafted to alleviate anxiety. The expertise here is dual-faceted: the pediatric team specializes in the unique dental needs of infants, children, and those with special healthcare needs, utilizing behavior guidance techniques like Tell-Show-Do and positive reinforcement. Simultaneously, the orthodontic team, skilled in the latest technologies including digital iTero scanners, ceramic braces, and Invisalign® clear aligners for all ages, corrects malocclusions with precision and aesthetic sensitivity. This synergy allows for unparalleled interdisciplinary collaboration; for instance, a child undergoing interceptive orthodontic treatment (Phase I) can be monitored by both the pediatric dentist for caries prevention and the orthodontist for growth guidance, all within a single, coordinated visit. Their unique value proposition is this integrated care model, combined with a profound commitment to education—for both parents and young patients—ensuring that preventive care and oral hygiene habits are established early. The doctors are not only clinicians but also educators who take time to explain conditions and treatments in an accessible manner, building trust and partnership with families. In a city teeming with dental options, Battery Park Pediatric & Orthodontic Dentists distinguishes itself through its unwavering focus on the emotional and psychological comfort of its youngest patients, its investment in state-of-the-art digital technology for accurate diagnoses and efficient treatments, and its team of highly credentialed specialists who are passionate about their distinct fields. They are not just treating patients in New York; they are raising a generation of New Yorkers who view dental care as a positive, essential part of their overall well-being, making them a truly integral part of the community's healthcare fabric.

I used to live in the same complex building as Battery Park Dental Group, and I always came here for my teeth cleanings. The staff is very professional, and the front desk is super helpful. I never had a problem with my appointments, and I never felt rushed or pressured to spend unnecessary money on dental treatments. They genuinely care about your dental health. The doctors, hygienists, and all the staff in the back are excellent. They take the time to explain each step of the process, which makes the experience smooth and reassuring. My kids also visit the kids’ dentist here, and everything is great. No complaints at all! Thank you, Battery Park Dental Group, for your consistent great work, and keep people smiling.

I started my invisilign treatment in May 2024, and let me tell you, coming to this practice has been the best part of my treatment. I live in PA and still came here for my treatment. My dentist, Dr. Buchbinder, has been amazing. I would come here 100 times over again. 5 stars across the board.

Olga Sobol is a good cosmetic dentist. She took care of my teeth for about 20 years, and I don't trust other doctors as much as I trust her. Years ago she made beautiful ceramic crowns for six of my front teeth. I still get compliments for them. When other dentists look inside my mouth, they ask, "Who did that? Such beautiful work!" Aside from her great skills, what distinguishes her is her compassion, friendliness, and genuine care. She chooses treatment and prevention options that are best for her patients and thinks long-term. What prompted this review was that she recently saved my inflamed tooth. 99% of dentists would extract it and replace it with an implant, but she did a mini surgery on it, removing pus from pockets near the bone and prescribing antibiotics, to allow the tooth to fully heal. I told her it would be funny if, just as World War II fighter pilots marked each enemy plane they shot down on their fuselage as a symbol of their victories, she might celebrate each tooth she saved from extraction with a tally on her office wall. :-)

My children have been patients at this office since 2018. All of the doctors are amazing! I couldn’t ask for a better office! My daughter also had orthodontic treatment and her teeth look absolutely amazing! Definitely give this office a try, you won’t regret it. They are like family now!

This place is a fraud. Avoid at all cost. I brought my two children for dental cleaning and they claimed the insurance doesn’t work and charged me $755. Later I called insurance to process the claim. Then I realized they claimed they did filings on THREE teeth which was an absolute overcharge. My daughter’s appointment was 15 minutes max including the cleaning. She obviously had no cavity or whatsoever. Our visit was in December last year, this billing was still not corrected and I haven't been reimbursed. The front desk was rude and racist. For that last visit, I arrived first with two children including a toddler. She told us to wait. Five minutes later, someone else arrived and she let that group go in first. I later realized that person she let in didn't even have an appointment and was a walk-in! We waited more than half an hour and only got seen after that patient was done. Not a single word of explanation or apology was expressed when I raised concern. Obviously we won't go back to this place. Please be aware.
