About

Battery Park Pediatric & Orthodontic Dentists, strategically located at 375 S End Ave in the heart of New York City's vibrant Battery Park City, represents a premier and specialized dental practice dedicated exclusively to the oral health and beautiful smiles of children, adolescents, and young adults. More than just a dental office, it is a carefully crafted, child-centric healthcare haven where advanced pediatric dentistry and expert orthodontics converge under one roof. This integration is the cornerstone of their practice philosophy, offering families unparalleled continuity of care from a child's first tooth through the completion of their teenage orthodontic treatment. The practice was founded on the principle that early, positive dental experiences are fundamental to establishing a lifetime of healthy habits and eliminating dental anxiety. Their mission is to provide the highest standard of compassionate, evidence-based dental and orthodontic care in an environment that is safe, fun, educational, and profoundly welcoming for both children and their parents. The team at Battery Park Pediatric & Orthodontic Dentists understands the unique challenges and opportunities of practicing in a dense, fast-paced urban environment like Lower Manhattan, catering to a diverse community of families who value convenience, expertise, and exceptional service. What truly sets this practice apart is its dual-specialist model. The practice is led by dedicated professionals who are not general dentists treating children, but specialists with years of additional post-doctoral training in their respective fields—board-certified pediatric dentists and certified orthodontists. This means every aspect of a child's oral development, from preventing cavities in primary teeth to guiding jaw growth and aligning permanent teeth, is managed by an expert with deep, focused training. The office environment itself is a key component of their unique value proposition. Designed to disarm and delight, the space often features themed decor, interactive games, a playful waiting area, and treatment rooms equipped with the latest child-friendly technology, including digital imaging and entertainment options, to transform what can be a stressful visit into an exciting adventure. Their expertise spans the full spectrum of childhood dental needs. The pediatric dental side focuses on comprehensive preventive care, including fluoride treatments and sealants, gentle restorative procedures for cavities, management of dental emergencies, and specialized care for infants and patients with special healthcare needs. Concurrently, the orthodontic team provides sophisticated diagnostic evaluations using digital scanners and X-rays, offering a full range of treatments from early interceptive care (Phase I) to comprehensive teen braces, clear aligner therapy like Invisalign® Teen, and retainers. By housing both specialties together, they facilitate seamless communication between providers, ensuring that orthodontic plans are made with the child's overall dental health as the priority. This collaborative approach is a significant differentiator, providing families with a cohesive, long-term roadmap for their child's smile without the need to coordinate between separate, disconnected offices. The practice prides itself on its patient- and family-centered communication, taking ample time to explain conditions and treatment options, answer questions, and involve parents in every decision. For families living in and around Battery Park City, the Financial District, and Tribeca, this practice stands as a trusted, local pillar of pediatric healthcare—a place where clinical excellence, a warm bedside manner, and a joyful atmosphere combine to create an exceptional standard of care that fosters healthy, confident smiles for New York City's youngest residents.

I used to live in the same complex building as Battery Park Dental Group, and I always came here for my teeth cleanings. The staff is very professional, and the front desk is super helpful. I never had a problem with my appointments, and I never felt rushed or pressured to spend unnecessary money on dental treatments. They genuinely care about your dental health. The doctors, hygienists, and all the staff in the back are excellent. They take the time to explain each step of the process, which makes the experience smooth and reassuring. My kids also visit the kids’ dentist here, and everything is great. No complaints at all! Thank you, Battery Park Dental Group, for your consistent great work, and keep people smiling.

I started my invisilign treatment in May 2024, and let me tell you, coming to this practice has been the best part of my treatment. I live in PA and still came here for my treatment. My dentist, Dr. Buchbinder, has been amazing. I would come here 100 times over again. 5 stars across the board.

Olga Sobol is a good cosmetic dentist. She took care of my teeth for about 20 years, and I don't trust other doctors as much as I trust her. Years ago she made beautiful ceramic crowns for six of my front teeth. I still get compliments for them. When other dentists look inside my mouth, they ask, "Who did that? Such beautiful work!" Aside from her great skills, what distinguishes her is her compassion, friendliness, and genuine care. She chooses treatment and prevention options that are best for her patients and thinks long-term. What prompted this review was that she recently saved my inflamed tooth. 99% of dentists would extract it and replace it with an implant, but she did a mini surgery on it, removing pus from pockets near the bone and prescribing antibiotics, to allow the tooth to fully heal. I told her it would be funny if, just as World War II fighter pilots marked each enemy plane they shot down on their fuselage as a symbol of their victories, she might celebrate each tooth she saved from extraction with a tally on her office wall. :-)

My children have been patients at this office since 2018. All of the doctors are amazing! I couldn’t ask for a better office! My daughter also had orthodontic treatment and her teeth look absolutely amazing! Definitely give this office a try, you won’t regret it. They are like family now!

This place is a fraud. Avoid at all cost. I brought my two children for dental cleaning and they claimed the insurance doesn’t work and charged me $755. Later I called insurance to process the claim. Then I realized they claimed they did filings on THREE teeth which was an absolute overcharge. My daughter’s appointment was 15 minutes max including the cleaning. She obviously had no cavity or whatsoever. Our visit was in December last year, this billing was still not corrected and I haven't been reimbursed. The front desk was rude and racist. For that last visit, I arrived first with two children including a toddler. She told us to wait. Five minutes later, someone else arrived and she let that group go in first. I later realized that person she let in didn't even have an appointment and was a walk-in! We waited more than half an hour and only got seen after that patient was done. Not a single word of explanation or apology was expressed when I raised concern. Obviously we won't go back to this place. Please be aware.
