About
Nestled in the vibrant heart of Lower Manhattan, Battery Park Pediatric & Orthodontic Dentists stands as a pillar of specialized dental care for children, adolescents, and families in New York City. Located at 375 S End Ave suite b, this practice is more than just a dental office; it is a trusted partner in fostering lifelong oral health from the very first tooth. Serving the Battery Park City, Financial District, and surrounding communities, the practice has built a reputation for combining clinical excellence with a warm, compassionate, and child-centric environment that transforms dental visits from a source of anxiety into positive, engaging experiences. The practice's philosophy is rooted in the understanding that early dental experiences shape a child's attitude toward oral care for years to come, and as such, they are dedicated to creating a foundation of trust and comfort.
The mission of Battery Park Pediatric & Orthodontic Dentists is to provide the highest quality, evidence-based pediatric dental and orthodontic care in a setting that is uniquely tailored to the needs of young patients and their parents. Their team believes in a proactive, preventive approach, emphasizing education and early intervention to guide optimal dental development and prevent future complications. The practice is led by dedicated specialists who are not only experts in their clinical fields but also possess a genuine passion for working with children. They understand the nuances of managing a child's behavior, from the tentative toddler to the self-conscious teenager, employing techniques in positive reinforcement and communication that put even the most nervous patient at ease.
What truly sets this practice apart is its dual-specialty focus, seamlessly integrating pediatric dentistry and orthodontics under one roof. This holistic model is a significant value proposition for families. Parents no longer need to coordinate care between separate offices; instead, they have a coordinated team that monitors their child's overall oral development from infancy through adolescence. The pediatric dentists focus on preventive care, cavity treatment, management of dental trauma, and habit counseling (such as for thumb-sucking), while the orthodontists specialize in guiding jaw growth, correcting misaligned teeth, and creating beautiful, functional smiles. This collaboration allows for early identification of potential orthodontic issues, often enabling simpler, more effective interceptive treatments.
The practice's environment is meticulously designed to be a world away from the sterile, intimidating feel of a traditional medical office. The decor is bright, cheerful, and welcoming, often featuring themes and elements that captivate a child's imagination. From a playful reception area to treatment rooms equipped with entertainment options, every detail is considered to reduce anxiety. The team's expertise is underscored by their use of advanced technology, including low-radiation digital X-rays, intraoral cameras for patient education, and modern orthodontic solutions ranging from traditional braces to clear aligner therapy. Their unique value proposition lies in this powerful combination: board-certified specialists, a compassionate and fun approach to patient care, state-of-the-art technology, and the unparalleled convenience of comprehensive care in a single, family-friendly location. They are not just treating teeth; they are building confident smiles and empowering a new generation with the knowledge and habits for a lifetime of optimal oral health.

Customer Reviews
I used to live in the same complex building as Battery Park Dental Group, and I always came here for my teeth cleanings. The staff is very professional, and the front desk is super helpful. I never had a problem with my appointments, and I never felt rushed or pressured to spend unnecessary money on dental treatments. They genuinely care about your dental health.
The doctors, hygienists, and all the staff in the back are excellent. They take the time to explain each step of the process, which makes the experience smooth and reassuring. My kids also visit the kids’ dentist here, and everything is great. No complaints at all!
Thank you, Battery Park Dental Group, for your consistent great work, and keep people smiling.
I started my invisilign treatment in May 2024, and let me tell you, coming to this practice has been the best part of my treatment. I live in PA and still came here for my treatment. My dentist, Dr. Buchbinder, has been amazing. I would come here 100 times over again. 5 stars across the board.
Olga Sobol is a good cosmetic dentist. She took care of my teeth for about 20 years, and I don't trust other doctors as much as I trust her.
Years ago she made beautiful ceramic crowns for six of my front teeth. I still get compliments for them. When other dentists look inside my mouth, they ask, "Who did that? Such beautiful work!" Aside from her great skills, what distinguishes her is her compassion, friendliness, and genuine care. She chooses treatment and prevention options that are best for her patients and thinks long-term.
What prompted this review was that she recently saved my inflamed tooth. 99% of dentists would extract it and replace it with an implant, but she did a mini surgery on it, removing pus from pockets near the bone and prescribing antibiotics, to allow the tooth to fully heal.
I told her it would be funny if, just as World War II fighter pilots marked each enemy plane they shot down on their fuselage as a symbol of their victories, she might celebrate each tooth she saved from extraction with a tally on her office wall. :-)
My children have been patients at this office since 2018. All of the doctors are amazing! I couldn’t ask for a better office! My daughter also had orthodontic treatment and her teeth look absolutely amazing! Definitely give this office a try, you won’t regret it. They are like family now!
This place is a fraud. Avoid at all cost. I brought my two children for dental cleaning and they claimed the insurance doesn’t work and charged me $755. Later I called insurance to process the claim. Then I realized they claimed they did filings on THREE teeth which was an absolute overcharge. My daughter’s appointment was 15 minutes max including the cleaning. She obviously had no cavity or whatsoever. Our visit was in December last year, this billing was still not corrected and I haven't been reimbursed.
The front desk was rude and racist. For that last visit, I arrived first with two children including a toddler. She told us to wait. Five minutes later, someone else arrived and she let that group go in first. I later realized that person she let in didn't even have an appointment and was a walk-in! We waited more than half an hour and only got seen after that patient was done. Not a single word of explanation or apology was expressed when I raised concern. Obviously we won't go back to this place. Please be aware.
