About
Battery Park Pediatric Dentists & Orthodontists stands as a premier, family-centric dental practice located in the heart of Lower Manhattan's vibrant Battery Park City neighborhood. Since its establishment, the practice has been dedicated to providing exceptional, comprehensive oral healthcare exclusively for infants, children, adolescents, and young adults, seamlessly integrating advanced pediatric dentistry with specialized orthodontics under one roof. Founded on the principle that early positive dental experiences lay the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles, the practice is built around a child-first philosophy that prioritizes comfort, education, and trust.
The mission of Battery Park Pediatric Dentists & Orthodontists is to deliver the highest standard of evidence-based dental care in an environment that is welcoming, fun, and utterly non-intimidating for young patients. They strive to be more than just a dental office; they aim to be a partner in each child's health journey, educating both parents and children on preventive care and empowering them with the knowledge and habits needed for optimal oral health. The practice is led by a team of dedicated specialists who are not only board-certified in pediatric dentistry and orthodontics but are also genuinely passionate about working with children, employing tailored behavior guidance techniques to ensure even the most anxious patient feels safe and secure.
What truly sets this practice apart is its unique dual-specialization model. By housing both pediatric dentists and orthodontists in the same state-of-the-art facility at 375 South End Avenue, they offer unparalleled continuity of care. This collaborative approach allows for early interceptive orthodontic assessments as part of routine check-ups, often identifying potential issues with jaw growth, crowding, or bite problems at the most opportune time for intervention. This proactive strategy can simplify or even eliminate the need for more extensive orthodontic treatment later, saving families time, expense, and discomfort. The practice's location in a residential, family-oriented community makes it a convenient and integral part of the neighborhood's fabric, serving the families of Battery Park City, the Financial District, Tribeca, and beyond.
The office itself is meticulously designed to dissolve dental anxiety. From a vibrant, engaging waiting area to treatment rooms equipped with the latest digital technology, every detail is chosen with a young patient's perspective in mind. The use of intraoral scanners, digital X-rays with minimal radiation, and laser dentistry where appropriate reflects their commitment to advanced, efficient, and comfortable care. The team's expertise extends to treating patients with special healthcare needs, offering a compassionate and skilled approach tailored to individual requirements.
Battery Park Pediatric Dentists & Orthodontists distinguishes itself through its unwavering commitment to personalized care, technological integration, and a preventative-focused ethos. They understand that a trip to the dentist can be daunting, and they have mastered the art of transforming that experience into one of curiosity, accomplishment, and even fun. This combination of top-tier clinical expertise, a synergistic specialist team, a strategically designed environment, and a deep-seated passion for pediatric care solidifies their reputation as a leading destination for children's dental and orthodontic health in New York City.

Customer Reviews
I used to live in the same complex building as Battery Park Dental Group, and I always came here for my teeth cleanings. The staff is very professional, and the front desk is super helpful. I never had a problem with my appointments, and I never felt rushed or pressured to spend unnecessary money on dental treatments. They genuinely care about your dental health.
The doctors, hygienists, and all the staff in the back are excellent. They take the time to explain each step of the process, which makes the experience smooth and reassuring. My kids also visit the kids’ dentist here, and everything is great. No complaints at all!
Thank you, Battery Park Dental Group, for your consistent great work, and keep people smiling.
I started my invisilign treatment in May 2024, and let me tell you, coming to this practice has been the best part of my treatment. I live in PA and still came here for my treatment. My dentist, Dr. Buchbinder, has been amazing. I would come here 100 times over again. 5 stars across the board.
Olga Sobol is a good cosmetic dentist. She took care of my teeth for about 20 years, and I don't trust other doctors as much as I trust her.
Years ago she made beautiful ceramic crowns for six of my front teeth. I still get compliments for them. When other dentists look inside my mouth, they ask, "Who did that? Such beautiful work!" Aside from her great skills, what distinguishes her is her compassion, friendliness, and genuine care. She chooses treatment and prevention options that are best for her patients and thinks long-term.
What prompted this review was that she recently saved my inflamed tooth. 99% of dentists would extract it and replace it with an implant, but she did a mini surgery on it, removing pus from pockets near the bone and prescribing antibiotics, to allow the tooth to fully heal.
I told her it would be funny if, just as World War II fighter pilots marked each enemy plane they shot down on their fuselage as a symbol of their victories, she might celebrate each tooth she saved from extraction with a tally on her office wall. :-)
My children have been patients at this office since 2018. All of the doctors are amazing! I couldn’t ask for a better office! My daughter also had orthodontic treatment and her teeth look absolutely amazing! Definitely give this office a try, you won’t regret it. They are like family now!
This place is a fraud. Avoid at all cost. I brought my two children for dental cleaning and they claimed the insurance doesn’t work and charged me $755. Later I called insurance to process the claim. Then I realized they claimed they did filings on THREE teeth which was an absolute overcharge. My daughter’s appointment was 15 minutes max including the cleaning. She obviously had no cavity or whatsoever. Our visit was in December last year, this billing was still not corrected and I haven't been reimbursed.
The front desk was rude and racist. For that last visit, I arrived first with two children including a toddler. She told us to wait. Five minutes later, someone else arrived and she let that group go in first. I later realized that person she let in didn't even have an appointment and was a walk-in! We waited more than half an hour and only got seen after that patient was done. Not a single word of explanation or apology was expressed when I raised concern. Obviously we won't go back to this place. Please be aware.
