Had A Crown Broken Loose Called Calm Dental Geneseo NY Got Appointment Crown Repaired That Same Day : Excellent Service
I wanted to leave a 5 star review as Dr Karen is fabulous. Unfortunately the billing manager Anna was very unreasonable and refused to accept the prepaid MasterCard that my insurance company gave me for dental procedures - and that the insurance company said was perfectly fine to use along with my dental discount plan. The balance on the MasterCard's allowance wasn't adequate to cover their full price rates so I was forced to charge my visit to a credit card. A bill I wasn't expecting nor can afford. I hope they'll consider changing their position so that folks can better afford to receive the dental care they need.
Update: I did call (as suggested below) and Anna still refused to take my prepaid MasterCard along with the dental plan discount. No questions about my insurance coverage - they were quite clear they should both work together. I'll be happy to drive back over to have the charge moved over to my MC. All they need to do is call! I should add that before I had my first appointment with them, I called to confirm that the insurance MasterCard and discount plan could be used together and was told yes. This turnaround is very unprofessional.
Disappointed! At 56 I have had no real issues with my teeth. Last year Dr. Karen recommended a crown for a tooth where a large filling fell out. After she shaped the tooth piece that remained in my mouth for the crown I was passed on to one of her employees to complete the job! Now less than a year later I am in great pain. I returned to the office, apparently Dr. Karen was there but not available to address my pain… but the meek and mild whoever that took an x-ray and told me they would provide me with a prescription and whatever because ya know I am in pain, but Doc Karen has no time for me. Be warned, expect Dr. Karen to only be interested in the part of your treatment where she rakes in a great deal of money, otherwise you can see her barely out of high school underlings.
