About

Chase Dental Sleepcare, located at 250 E 63rd St Unit 1A in New York City's Upper East Side, stands as a premier destination for specialized dental care focused exclusively on sleep disorders and temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders. Founded by the esteemed Dr. Barry Chase, a board-certified expert with over 40 years of experience in dental sleep medicine, this practice has evolved into a beacon of innovation and patient-centered care in the New York metro area, including multiple locations across Long Island, Queens, Brooklyn, Staten Island, White Plains, and more.[1][2][4][6] Dr. Chase's journey began at Georgetown University Dental School, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS), followed by a residency in head and neck cancer studies at Howard University Dental School and advanced training in oral appliance therapy for post-surgical cancer patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. This rigorous educational foundation, combined with his diplomate status from the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine, the Academy of Clinical Sleep Disorders Disciplines, and the American Sleep and Breathing Academy, positions Chase Dental Sleepcare at the forefront of the field.[4][6]

The mission of Chase Dental Sleepcare is profoundly simple yet transformative: to liberate patients from the debilitating effects of unhealthy sleep, snoring, obstructive sleep apnea (OSA), upper airway resistance syndrome, craniofacial pain, and life-altering TMJ dysfunction through comprehensive diagnostics, advanced therapies, and a holistic approach to oral appliance therapy. Unlike general dentistry practices that treat sleep and TMJ issues as afterthoughts, Chase Dental Sleepcare dedicates its entire focus to these interconnected conditions, recognizing the pioneering link between TMJ health and sleep quality that Dr. Chase has championed throughout his career.[2][5][6] This exclusivity allows the team to deliver unparalleled expertise, helping thousands of patients achieve restorative sleep and pain-free living. Prestigious institutions like Mount Sinai routinely refer complex cases to the practice when advanced dental interventions are required, underscoring its reputation for clinical excellence.[2][6]

What truly sets Chase Dental Sleepcare apart is its unwavering commitment to individualized, research-driven care. Every new patient undergoes thorough screening protocols for both sleep health and TMJ disorders, eschewing one-size-fits-all solutions in favor of tailored diagnostics that incorporate the latest advancements in dental sleep medicine.[2] The practice employs a wide array of therapeutic protocols, from custom oral appliances for sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) and TMD to innovative epigenetic orthodontic appliances, Botox for TMJ relief (offered by Dr. Garelick), and orthodontic interventions (by Dr. Hubert). This multidisciplinary approach extends to collaborations with other medical specialties when needed, ensuring optimal outcomes.[1][2][4] Dr. Chase's progressive vision—lecturing at national conferences, hospital grand rounds, and contributing to research on topics like pediatric sleep disorders and craniofacial morphology—infuses the practice with cutting-edge insights.[6]

Patients at the E 63rd Street location benefit from a welcoming environment staffed by compassionate professionals, with appointments tailored to specific providers: Dr. Chase for sleep and TMJ on Mondays, Dr. Garelick for sleep, TMJ, and Botox on Wednesdays, and alternating Dr. Garelick and Dr. Hubert for sleep, TMJ, and orthodontics on Fridays.[1] The practice's expansive network of 11+ locations enhances accessibility across the NY metro area, yet each site maintains the high standards of personalized service that define Chase Dental Sleepcare.[2] Beyond treatment, the team fosters memorable experiences, empowering patients with knowledge about their conditions and possibilities for improvement. As Dr. Chase aptly states, 'in dental sleep care we make great dreams possible,' encapsulating a unique value proposition rooted in decades of dedication, board-certified mastery, and a relentless pursuit of human health through dentistry.[6]

In an era where sleep apnea affects millions and TMJ pain disrupts daily life, Chase Dental Sleepcare distinguishes itself not just by specialization, but by its proven track record of transforming lives. From elite referrals to everyday sufferers, the practice delivers freedom from symptoms that general dentists often overlook, backed by professional memberships in the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, American Dental Association, and New York State Sleep Society.[2][4][6] Whether addressing snoring, OSA, or chronic jaw pain, Chase Dental Sleepcare's comprehensive ecosystem of diagnostics, therapies, and ongoing education ensures patients don't just manage symptoms—they reclaim vitality. This E 63rd Street outpost, nestled in the heart of Manhattan, exemplifies the practice's gold standard, making it the go-to choice for those seeking expert, compassionate care in dental sleep medicine.[1][2] (Word count: 728)

I recently visited the doctor's office at 250 63rd St location and had an exceptional experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly and courteous, making me feel welcomed and at ease. The doctor took the time to provide a detailed explanation of my treatment, ensuring I understood every step. Overall, I had a relaxed and pleasant time at the facility. Highly recommend this office for anyone seeking professional and compassionate care!

I’m very impressed with Dr. Chase! He’s a personable, nice guy and most importantly, after 1 appointment, I can already see that he delivers care in his healthcare! This shows also in his policies about insurance. He tries to make his service available to those who need it. And he seems to be meticulous in his work. My 2nd visit has confirmed his expertise! He made a slight adjustment that has greatly improved my situation. I'm grateful and impressed!

I can’t say enough good things about Chase Dental Sleep Care, especially the team at the Grelic office and 63rd Street. They went above and beyond to ensure I received my oral device before my vacation, coordinating tirelessly with the lab and even planning for potential contingencies like shipping it to my hotel. Their dedication and exceptional customer service truly stand out, and the device works perfectly! Highly recommend!

Dr Steinberg is very nice and good at what he does but the staff is not very professional at what they do especially the young African American woman receptionist and I phrase that so I don't want to come off racist, can't say anything different, she needs to learn how to address people in the right manner and with respect, I or insurance spent $4500. for work to be done and I feel if like I was taking for granted and not received the right service so I had to cancel my appointment because of that even though I had to still get my mouth guard adjusted, but it's what it is

My husband went to Dr Chase to correct his snoring. He paid over $700 and it never worked. It cause him constant pain. He paid $60 co pay to get it adjusted and it never corrected it. When I called to make another appointment, I am told we have to pay $60 each adjustment. It shouldn’t cause any pain and we should have to pay $60 when it never worked. My husband said it is garbage and refuse to go back because it is a rip off. It caused pain around his jaw area where it never bother him before. So don’t waste your money since it isn’t guaranteed that it would work.
