I don’t usually leave reviews but i had to because of the way we were recently taken care of. I totally recommend this dental office it’s hard to find trust worthy dental providers in NY but this is one of them. I went with my mom who is super scared of the dentist and and the whole team was really nice and welcoming. Dr.tenzer was gentle and answered all of her concerns . Wait time was a bit long but we were late and they completely understood. Ericka the assistant was so patient with my mom explained everything, and kept checking on her the whole time during the procedure. My mom is usually so anxious to the point she’s terrified of dentists and she was actually calm for once 😭 you can tell they both really care about patients and making them comfortable definitely made the experience way better for us. Thank you city smiles from now on will be getting my cleanings here.
Most people say they hate going to the dentist, but I truly believe that’s because they haven’t found the right place yet. From the moment you walk into City Smiles Dental in Bartow/Co-op City, you’re greeted with nothing but warm welcomes. The staff is incredibly friendly, professional, and attentive, and the doctors are knowledgeable and caring.
They make every visit comfortable and stress-free. I honestly don’t see myself changing dental offices anytime soon. Highly recommend!
I used to be extremely afraid of going to the dentist—it always felt like a nightmare, and the doctors seemed to speak another language. That all changed when I went to City Smiles Dental.
From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was full of energy and very welcoming. One of the receptionists helped me complete my new patient paperwork and clearly explained the entire process. Then the assistant brought me in for X-rays and was very gentle.
The hygienist, Al, was AMAZING—so gentle, caring, and informative. He taught me the proper way to floss and gave me really helpful techniques I can actually use.
After my cleaning, the doctor came in for the exam and explained everything in a way I could understand. They answered all my questions and reassured me that the treatment process would be smooth. I also spoke with the treatment planner, who was incredibly kind and patient. She explained my out-of-pocket costs, what my insurance would cover, and went over financing options without making me feel rushed at all.
I was honestly a mess going in, but now I’m so grateful to have found a dental office that makes me feel comfortable and reassured.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the office could use a bit of a makeover—but other than that, I highly recommend them!
Dentist wasn't the problem. I was referred here by a co worker she didn't have a co pay. But I had a co pay of $66. I finally received 2 bills in the mail saying they did 4 extractions. I only did xray and cleaning. Now I have to call my insurance and deal with this issue. I won't be coming back. Sucks cause the person that cleaned my teeth was good.
I came to City Smiles Dental because the previous office I went to kept charging me for cleanings because there was some sort of anesthesia not covered by insurance. My parents recommended city smiles dental because they enjoyed it and while there were some special circumstances they felt emergency charges were justified they usually didn’t pay through the nose. This is unfortunately going to turn into “the apple has fallen far from the tree” for the office since I appreciate that they love my parents but apparently it’s only great if you have “old person insurance”
It turns out the office has the same charge for whatever the other office did so I can’t complain about that. However, the left side of my teeth were stained from the cleaning (and they still are stained as well) . I scheduled an appointment to make sure they weren’t cavities. Another 120 dollars. I then get a call a few weeks later- I owe 240 dollars because the cleaning wasn’t covered at all after all. That would have been nice to know beforehand instead of months after the fact.
Somehow this office turned out to be even worse at charging me for stuff than the other one and I wonder if I’ll get called again next week for another random thing.
I miss Doctor Singh who was always free and ever since he passed away I’ve been trying hard to find a dentist office that won’t nickel and dime me. I’ll try to find an independent dentist again since the groups especially seem to love charging the customer for everything.
