Crane Dental Laboratory, strategically located at 3515 Buffalo Rd #30 in Rochester, New York, stands as a cornerstone of excellence in the dental prosthetics and restorative dentistry field. For decades, this family-oriented and dentist-focused laboratory has built an unparalleled reputation for craftsmanship, precision, and collaborative partnership with dental practices across the Rochester region and beyond. Operating from the heart of New York's vibrant medical community, Crane Dental Laboratory is more than just a supplier; it is an essential extension of the dental team, dedicated to restoring patients' smiles, function, and confidence with artisanal skill and cutting-edge technology.

The laboratory's history is rooted in a profound commitment to the dental arts. Founded with the vision of bridging the gap between dental science and aesthetic artistry, Crane Dental Laboratory has evolved from a traditional workshop into a technologically advanced facility while never losing sight of the hand-crafted detail that defines superior dental restorations. This journey has been guided by a core mission: to empower dentists by providing them with the highest quality, most reliable, and aesthetically perfect dental prosthetics, thereby enabling the best possible patient outcomes. Their mission emphasizes a triad of values: uncompromising quality, unwavering partnership with dentists, and a patient-centric approach that considers the end-user's comfort, health, and satisfaction in every appliance crafted.

Crane Dental Laboratory's service portfolio is comprehensive, covering the full spectrum of restorative and cosmetic dental needs. Their expertise is particularly renowned in the fabrication of crowns and bridges, where they utilize both high-strength ceramics and premium alloys to ensure durability and natural aesthetics. Their specialization extends to meticulous removable prosthetics, including full and partial dentures crafted with attention to fit, function, and facial aesthetics. A significant area of deep expertise is in dental implants, where the laboratory's technicians excel at creating custom implant-supported crowns, bridges, and overdentures that integrate seamlessly with surgical components. Furthermore, they are adept at producing night guards, bruxism splints, and sports guards, showcasing their commitment to both restorative and preventive oral healthcare.

What truly sets Crane Dental Laboratory apart is its unique value proposition centered on collaboration, education, and technological agility. Unlike larger, impersonal laboratories, Crane fosters direct, personal relationships with each dentist-client. Their technicians often consult directly on complex cases, offering insights on material selection, shade matching, and design to optimize clinical results. This collaborative model ensures that every restoration is tailor-made not just for the patient's mouth, but for the dentist's technique and preferences. The laboratory invests heavily in continuous education and certification for its technicians, ensuring mastery over evolving materials like zirconia, lithium disilicate (e.g., IPS e.max), and high-performance polymers. This is complemented by strategic investments in digital dentistry infrastructure, including CAD/CAM systems and 3D printing, which streamline workflows for precision and efficiency while maintaining the essential human touch in finishing and characterization.

The business distinguishes itself through an obsessive focus on quality control at every stage, from initial model work to final glazing. Each restoration undergoes rigorous checks to meet exacting standards for margin integrity, occlusion, and lifelike aesthetics. This meticulous process, combined with reliable turnaround times and clear communication, makes Crane Dental Laboratory a trusted and indispensable partner for dental practices seeking to elevate their level of care. In a competitive landscape, it is this blend of artisan mentality, partner-level service, and forward-looking technology adoption that solidifies Crane Dental Laboratory's position as a leader in the regional dental laboratory sector, consistently turning restorative challenges into success stories for dentists and their patients.

Started using their Clear Aligners on our patients a couple of months ago, and I love their system! Great first impression with impressive case design, easy removal tool, and smooth aligners. Our office has used 3 other clear aligner systems and Crane is by far our favorite!

In August I got a set of upper and lower dentures made by Crane Lab. They did not fit at all, and 3 teeth were either cracked or chipped. The following day, my dentist did new impressions to have them rebased and requested the teeth that were damaged to be replaced. The rebase made minimal improvements to the fit. Today, I went to the dentist for a reline, and she took impressions that had a phenomenal fit. I was hopeful that my denture would fit just as well. Much to my dismay when I went back to my dentist to pick them up, they were significantly thicker and taller than they were before. The dentist had to trim the length of them significantly to even get them to seat properly in my mouth. They also broke a tooth off in the front of my lower denture, and replaced it using a different color gum material. This was not mentioned to my dentist until I saw it and asked. I am thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the dentures I received from this lab, and have had an awful experience. I would never recommend a dental office or patient in need of any oral prosthetic to use this lab for their work.
