My family and I have been visiting Dr. Lau over the past decade for dental service, from simple check up and cleaning, wisdom teeth removal, to more complicated procedures. While I cannot speak for my aunt (who got fillings) and my brother (who got braces), I can say my wisdom teeth removal and all the cleanings were done well with no complaint on my end. My experience has been wonderful and I would recommend this dentist to anyone.

Dr Derek Lau. Dmd. Just performed a root canal (on me) which was like a work of art. The line on a massive molar was perfect. No such thing as painless. But he is the closest thing to it. Got me in immediately. And his price was perfect. Mott st Manhattan. Thank you Dr Lau.

I do not have any family connection with Dr. Lau. But maybe our great grandparents did but I'm reviewing Dr. Lau's practice. I did not consult with Dr. Lau at this location but at the one in Parsippany NJ. I took my father to see him specifically because my father does not speak/understand English well. Dr Lau is fluent in Manadarin, Cantonese, and English. He is honest and 'straight shooter' I never felt pressured or upsold when he told my father that he needed a root canal and a crown. He was able to offer a better and cheaper option of the metal version since my father is not as vain as I am. And he didn't charge us for the x-ray/examination. If I didn't live so far away from either NYC or his other location NJ. Dr. Lau would be my dentist for sure.

Needed an emergency root canal, and Dr. Lau did an amazing job to get me out of pain, in an efficient manner. Will be going for all dental needs now on.

I want to write something nice but unfortunately my dental work from this place had some problems I just found out recently. I had a root canal and crown done. My new dentist told me that I would have to redo the crown. Root is infected and there was a gap in between the tooth and the crown. It is something I can not afford again.
