I appreciate Dr Byfield. He helped me out when I was in a urgent situation. Straight forward & respectful. Didn't overly waste time, but gave me enough time for the lidocaine to kick in. I get how some people give bad reviews because they felt it was painful, but the reality is it's a dentist. If you're getting teeth pulled, drilled, root canaled, or many other things. That gum/jaw numbing stuff is only going to take the bulk of the pain off & you're still going to feel it. If you want to feel nothing; you have to go spend the extra to get knocked out
DO NOT SEE Dr. Byfield. I went in for severe tooth pain and left traumatized. He was rude, impatient, and physically rough. He shoved the x-ray sensor too far back and, when I gagged and couldn’t relax my tongue, he became sarcastic and nasty instead of slowing down and helping me. I also heard him speaking nastily about another woman in the waiting room before he came in — completely unprofessional. I left feeling embarrassed, more anxious, and still in pain. Patients deserve compassion and competent care — I will not return and I do not recommend this office.
The dentist is a terrible, miserable old man! Extremely rough with a very nasty attitude. During my X-rays he continuously kept barking at me about my tongue being in the way when really it was his incompetence that made taking the X-rays difficult! I had to take the object out of my mouth and place it in the proper position after being left alone because I was gagging and he stormed out of the room frustrated. Super unprofessional ! I left with the roof of my mouth and under my tongue are sore and cut up. He also does not have the proper equipment to service you. You’ll be forced to keep your own mouth open throughout the entire procedure! I went there once and even that was one too many for me! If I could give 0 I would but I will say his dental assistant and the reception staff were AMAZING and cooperative! DO NOT GO HERE! I would not recommend!
This is the absolute worst dentist I have ever encountered. This man jumped up in my face in front of my child who was his new patient because, he was upset his xray machine stopped working. Instead of him apologizing for having me wait 40,minutes knowing he couldn't perform the proper operations during my son check up , he got upset and ripped up the paperwork I filled out and then got in my face on front of my child. This boy and I will call him a boy cause no man acts the way this boy does. This boy is so unprofessional, I will never refer or go to his office ever again. The staff is professional and courteous. How this ignorant man is able to stay in business is a blow to this community. I will be reporting his actions to the BBB for sure.
I had a very disappointing experience at this office, primarily due to the behavior of the manager. During our interaction, she used profanity toward me, which l found extremely unprofessional and inappropriate in a healthcare setting. Regardless of the circumstances, staff, especially someone in a leadership role, should remain calm, respectful, and composed at all times. Patients may feel stressed or anxious, but it is the responsibility of the office to handle situations with professionalism and self, control. The interaction demonstrated a clear lack of professionalism and conflict, resolution skills. No patient should feel disrespected when seeking medical care. As a result of this experience, I will not be returning. I have since chosen to see a different oral surgeon, and the level of professionalism and care has been significantly better. While I am willing to pay more for quality service, respect and professionalism should be standard at any practice. I hope this office takes feedback seriously and works on improving communication and professionalism moving forward.
