This is my first Google review ever and admittedly I should have written this sooner.
Dr. Kaufman has been my dentist since 2020. I came to him in need of a full mouth restoration after a very distressing experience with a well known periodontist. My mouth was in a complete state of disrepair. I am an attorney who needs to speak in front of people every day, At the time I went to him, I couldn't open my mouth without crying. I was traumatized.
Without going into all the detail here, Dr. Kaufman gave me my smile back. While other practitioners I had consulted with were hesitant to even try to repair such a difficult case, Dr. Kaufman took my case with no hesitation or reservation whatsoever. He said it was easy! I was crying but he was completely calm. He assured me it would be seamless. And it actually was! Better still, he was a "one stop shop" - he was able to do the periodontics, the implants, the caps and make it all aesthetically pretty close to perfect--meaning I didn't have to see multiple specialists (which made my life as a working mom so much easier). He made himself available at all times, at all hours and assured me repeatedly that he would stand by his work for life. To this day I get compliments on my smile ALL THE TIME. And I can actually look back at old pictures and laugh instead of cry. I have since moved my entire family to Dr. Kaufman's practice.
Fast forward to today, and the impetus for this review. Two nights ago, my front crown came out of my mouth while I was eating dinner. This is to be expected - and happens every so often from normal wear and tear. The only issue was that this was the first time I lost the crown (so there was nothing to put back in). I texted Dr. Kaufman's office in a complete panic. Within minutes, he responded and told me to call him immediately - except he was in Europe! It was already the middle of the night there and yet he got on the phone with me and told me exactly what to do. And he reassured me that his staff could make a temporary crown for me within 24 hours. I didn't believe that was possible but, per his direction, I went to his office first thing yesterday morning. Jane and Davina, two of his very talented staff whom I have gotten to know very well over these years, were waiting for me. Despite that they were not even supposed to be working that day! In a matter of minutes (and with Dr. Kaufman on the phone from Paris) they took a state of the art of the scan that was sent to a off-site lab (Dr. Kaufman and Jane had made already made arrangements with the lab to expedite the crown). Last night, Jane called (from her home on her own time) to tell my temporary tooth was on the way to the city and that she would meet me early this morning to put it in for me.
By 9:30 this morning, I was once again smiling with a perfect looking temporary crown in my mouth. I gave Jane a big hug and was able to go straight to my office as though nothing had ever happened.
I have never had such exceptional dental care (and I have had a lot of dental work in my life!). This practice, this dentist, this staff -- everyone involved is at the very top of their game. To say I am grateful is an understatement.
Once again, it is all wonderful at the office of Zev, Kalman, D. D. S. From the warm greeting when you walk in to the joke of the day when you walk out, it is everything you want from a dentist. Not sure what you want, but they all do great work and it couldn’t be better.
Dr K, Dr C , Jane and all the staff have as much personality and courtesies as they do skills. It is a pleasure to forget about driving an hour and 20 minutes to see them when you walk in their door until you walk out. My teeth never felt or looked better. I especially love them because they do not hassle me about smoking cigars. thank you, Dr. Kaufman and the entire staff.
Dr. Kaufman is a miracle worker! The process was pain-free, and the results were amazing! His staff is extremely caring and very professional.
Plain and simple; it took me 3 decades to find someone of Dr. Z's caliber. Just gave me facts, made no promises and delivered so much.
I live over an hour away now and still refuse to go to anyone else.
