About

East Side Pediatric Dental, located at 133 E 58th St #508 in New York, NY 10022, stands as a premier pediatric dentistry practice dedicated to serving infants, children, teens, and those with special needs in the heart of Manhattan's Upper East Side. Founded by Dr. Jessica L. Marn, a board-certified pediatric dentist, the practice has been welcoming families since 2005, establishing itself as a trusted cornerstone for children's oral health in neighborhoods including Midtown, Turtle Bay, Sutton Place, and Roosevelt Island.[2][4][5][8] Dr. Marn completed her dental training at New York University and her pediatric residency at St. Barnabas Hospital, bringing over two decades of specialized expertise to her patients. Her visionary leadership has earned the practice accolades such as 'The Best Pediatric Dental Practice in Manhattan' in 2021 and consistent recognition as a top pediatric dentist by the Consumer Research Council of America since 2008.[8]

The mission of East Side Pediatric Dental is rooted in a profound commitment to preventive care, fostering healthy smiles that last a lifetime while prioritizing each child's overall wellness. The team, including fellow board-certified pediatric dentists Dr. Chloe Meyer and Dr. Armine Martirosian, creates a safe, compassionate, kind, and nurturing environment tailored to every young patient's unique clinical, emotional, and mental needs.[4][6][8] Unlike general dentists, these specialists undergo an additional two to three years of training post-dental school, focusing exclusively on pediatric oral health, which enables them to handle everything from routine check-ups to complex cases with exceptional skill.[5] Dr. Meyer's emphasis on positive experiences for infants, children, young adults, and special needs patients complements Dr. Martirosian's passion, honed through her DDS from the University of Southern California and pediatric training at New York University.[8]

Services at East Side Pediatric Dental encompass a comprehensive wellness approach, emphasizing prevention and fear-free dentistry. From the first visit recommended as early as 6 months of age, every appointment builds a lifetime relationship with families through biannual oral wellness visits.[4] Key offerings include dental sealants free of Bisphenol A, Bis-GMA, or BPA derivatives to protect against decay in hard-to-reach grooves; amalgam-free, bio-compatible tooth-colored fillings; pulpotomies (baby root canals) for infected teeth; space maintainers; crowns; extractions; fluoride treatments; custom mouthguards; and pulp therapy.[7] The practice excels in managing dental emergencies like toothaches, knocked-out teeth, and abscesses with clear, parent-friendly protocols, such as using cold milk for avulsed teeth.[7] For anxious children, they offer over 5,000 successful sedations and anesthesia cases under Dr. Marn's belt, alongside IV sedation options, ensuring comfort without compromise.[7][8]

What truly sets East Side Pediatric Dental apart is its unique value proposition: a holistic, child-centered philosophy that goes beyond teeth to nurture total well-being. Dr. Marn's certification from Duke University's Integrative Health Coaching Program informs a whole-person approach, integrating emotional support with clinical excellence.[8] Her authorship of 'Charlotte Wants to Be a Pediatric Dentist' demystifies visits for kids, turning potential fears into excitement. Community dedication shines through contributions to Early Head Start and Room to Grow, delivering dental education to underserved families.[8] Patient reviews rave about the warm, caring staff, late weekday appointments up to 6:30pm, weekend availability by appointment, and transformative experiences—even for children previously terrified of dentists.[3] As an amalgam-free office prioritizing bio-compatible materials, they lead in safety and innovation.[7]

Conveniently across from The Container Store, the modern suite on the 5th floor (with some references to Ste 402 possibly indicating prior or shared space) operates Monday 10am-6pm, Tuesday/Thursday 10am-5pm/6pm variably, Wednesday/Friday 9am-5pm/6:30pm, and weekends by appointment.[1][2][5] Currently accepting new patients, they also connect families to sister practice Urban Pediatric Dental for Lower East Side convenience.[1][5] This blend of expertise, empathy, and accessibility distinguishes East Side Pediatric Dental in a competitive NYC landscape, making it the go-to for parents seeking not just dental care, but a joyful foundation for lifelong oral health. With a 5.0-star reputation on platforms like Yelp, the practice continues to exceed expectations, proving that pediatric dentistry can be rewarding and stress-free.[3]

Best pediatric dentist ever. My 7yrs old son had to get root canal and crown. I was so nervous hearing it. But the dentist and the full staff made us feel so comfortable. Very very grateful for them. My son was so happy with his whole experience.

We recently had our toddler’s first dental appointment and after doing a bunch a research we chose East Side Pediatric Dental and with our insurance, we were able to see Dr. Chloe Meyer. She was so patient, friendly and knowledgeable. She’s perfect working with little kids and made our daughter’s first experience so easy and fun. The office was clean and newly renovated. The space is small but very functional with kids books and toys. The staff were so nice and helped us navigate our insurance policy very thoroughly. Three of us left happily and we highly recommend this place!
