Had such a pleasant experience from beginning to end. The staff was so accommodating and kept me informed on my great aunts care. Everything from scheduling times to punctuality of the aide to quality of care was up to par. I would highly recommend Elara Caring.

My Elara home aide coordinator, Destiny, has been consistently responsive to my 95 year old mothers needs and has become sensitive to her physical and emotional care, and tries and almost always succeeds in pairing the aides to mother. Milla P. , in nursing, is kind, caring,professional,respectful, and always follows through after our conversations regarding both medical and emotional support. The nursing team is thorough and their follow up is consistently good. The aides- it took a bit of time but now we have a good team of aides that are now familiar with my mother and our family. It’s a very hard job and I usually can’t thank them enough. We have good communication and all of us combined help my mother to live more comfortably. Special thanks to Cecile, Quanette, Sandra, Bari , and Ebony. The only thing that I feel needs improvement is when there is an urgent need for a substitute if an aide calls out sick. My mother has such specialized 24 hour needs that a last minute reliable replacement is stressful and concerning. But recently all has been working well. Maria M. Was an excellent substitute., thanks to Destiny.

You cannot get through to these people. We have been clients for years and it’s always the same mis-management.

I am very disappointed with this company. I completed the entire process required to start working, and at the beginning they only offered me one case near my home. When I replied to the person assigning the case to let her know I couldn’t accept it because it didn’t fit my needs, she made a note saying that I supposedly wanted 40 hours per week — which I never requested, and which is something almost no agency guarantees. After that, they automatically removed me from the agency without giving me any clear explanation. No one told me that if I didn’t accept that case, I would be removed from the system. They simply told me to look for opportunities elsewhere. Customer service was terrible. They never tried to accommodate the employee’s needs or help find another case, even though I had been without work for almost two months. Instead, they just added a note without informing me and made a decision without communicating with me. I do not recommend this agency. Very bad experience, poor treatment of employees, and zero professionalism. 2/10

Do not work at this company. There is inconsistent work assignment scheduling for home health aides who are PER DIEM employees. I resigned from the company, was not terminated. I dealt with delusional insults from a coordinator who believes that she is in a higher position than home health aides for simply being a scheduler in a home care business. Home health aides, nurses and doctors, and psychologist have more skills, relevance and importance than receptionist and coordinators and anything similar to receptionist or coordination. Coordinators also speak improper English. A few Coordinators at Elara caring believe that home health aides are subordinates to them. Truly funny and pathetic and delusional for them To think that a certified, paid, skilled essential worker in home care or health care is a subordinate. If the person in a business is not the business owner or is not the manager or CEO who regulates on behalf of the owner then they or it do NOT HAVE authority. Coordinators are not higher ranking than a skilled certified or licensed essential work within home care businesses. Elara caring also goes by different business names to avoid legal penalties and communications and to also hide their poor or incompetent or unprofessional reputation.
