There is nothing like a beautiful sunny day at noon in the Empire Plaza. We were pleasantly surprised by all the food trucks and farm stands as well as live music for Simmer Wednesdays 2026. It's easy to see what a hit this is with all the workers, and visitors. We went to the Corning Observation Tower and oh what a view of the areas beyond Albany, the Empire Plaza and the streets and buildings around. There were visual maps with buildings and streets labeled for every viewing window. We were lucky it was r crowded at all. I should've taken more pictures

Upon arriving at Empire State Plaza... the sheer scale of the complex immediately captures your attention. The juxtaposition of futuristic architecture alongside structures that whisper history creates an atmosphere that feels both advanced and timeless. As you navigate the expansive grounds it's easy to imagine this place as a city unto itself, distinct from the surrounding area. The design is nothing short of impressive, offering a unique blend that invites exploration and reflection. As you delve deeper into the plaza the layout unfolds like a puzzle, each building and landmark contributing to a cohesive narrative. The futuristic elements stand out, suggesting innovation and progress, while older structures add a layer of historical depth. This blend of styles offers a visual feast, making it a must-see for those seeking a unique urban experience. The plaza's design is not only visually striking but also thoughtfully integrated with its surroundings. It feels like a curated collection of art and architecture, each element thoughtfully placed to enhance the overall experience. This attention to detail transforms a simple visit into an engaging journey through space and time. In summary, Empire State Plaza is a remarkable blend of innovation and tradition, offering a unique urban landscape that captivates the senses and stimulates the imagination. I'm eager to return and continue exploring its many facets. - Atmosphere: 7/10 - Exhibit Quality: 7/10 - Service/Flow: 7/10 - Value: 7/10 - Would Return: Yes - Visit: Lunch - Crowd Level: None - Parking: Easy. We thoroughly enjoyed our walk through the Empire State Plaza. Parking was easy and reasonably priced in the deck right under The Egg. The architecture here is incredibly unique, creating a striking contrast with the historic State Capitol building on one end and the modern State Museum on the other. Because the legislature wasn't in session during our visit, the plaza was relatively quiet and perfect for a peaceful stroll. Highly recommend checking it out!

Very nice for family time specifically during weekend. No parking fee in the weekend and many available parking. Because of the weather, when we visited, the fountain was closed 😞. But the huge yard and sitting areas you can enjoy.

Nice place for a walk, and take pics of the capitol, the Egg, Corning Tower and nearby Cathedral of Immaculate Conception (although it closed early when I went).
