Excel Dentistry's service philosophy is built on a comprehensive model of care. Their expertise is particularly noted in areas such as cosmetic dentistry, including porcelain veneers and teeth whitening, which are tailored to meet the high aesthetic demands of its New York clientele, as well as restorative procedures like dental implants and crowns that prioritize both function and natural appearance. The practice places a strong emphasis on preventive care, viewing it as the cornerstone of lasting dental health, and employs state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to detect and address issues at their earliest, most manageable stages.

What truly sets Excel Dentistry apart is its unique value proposition centered on a bespoke patient experience within a high-tech environment. The practice distinguishes itself through a concierge-level of service, where treatment plans are never one-size-fits-all but are instead deeply customized after thorough discussion and digital simulation. The team invests significant time in patient education, ensuring individuals are fully informed and active participants in their care decisions. Furthermore, the practice's location in a charming West Village townhouse offers a discreet and calming retreat from the city's bustle, a stark contrast to the impersonal, institutional feel of larger dental clinics. This combination of technical prowess, artistic detail in cosmetic work, and a genuinely warm, attentive bedside manner creates a holistic service that addresses not just the clinical need but the individual's comfort and confidence. Dr. Medeiros and his staff are great. I've been a patient for years. I tried several dentists before I found him. I recommend Excel Dentistry and Dr. Medeiros..

I have been going to Dr. Mederios for over 7 years and find him to be an excellent dentist. I have TJM and had poor dental work in the past. The work I had here includes replacing crowns (using the existing ones and replacing a cracked one) night guards, fillings, etc. He has fixed the work of other dentists that I've gone to here in NYC. Also, just because I get a cleaning, I don't always get other work, not like other dentists I've been to.

I had a cleaning and some other dental work done with Dr. Mederios, all of which was satisfactory. My main gripe is with his billing practices. I was quoted a price on what my portion of the bill would be and I paid the agreed upon charge after the services were rendered. So a couple of months later, I get a bill saying I 'owe' Excel Dentistry $105.80. Of course, I didn't pay the bill and Dr. Mederios has now presumably sold off my account to a collection agency. And, it's been put on my credit report. Thus, I would hesitate to use this guy for anything other than a cleaning.

The most uncomfortable and concerning interaction with a medical professional in my life. After asking some friends who used to go to this Dr. Medeiros this is actually not an uncommon experience. I just happen to be the only one who who would rather warn other than take money for silence. I was the first patient of the morning. He arrived almost an hour late. He arrived in a very aggravated state and appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. He was all over the place, and combative with his employees, and yelling at them. His hands were very shaky, and so i decided it best to not have him work on my teeth. He became aggressive and combative with me at that point and i decided it was time to make a quick exit. After i decided to google his name and found an article that accuses him of inappropriate conduct with patients and staff. I hope this doctor gets the help he so clearly needs, but he should not be practicing until his problems have been addressed and he gets some help.
