About

Friends Family Dental & Braces Corona NY, located at 37-31 103rd St, Corona, NY 11368, stands as a cornerstone of comprehensive oral healthcare in the heart of Queens, serving families across Corona, Jackson Heights, Rego Park, Brooklyn, Manhattan, Queens, Staten Island, and Long Island since its establishment in 2004.[1][2][3] Founded over two decades ago, this esteemed dental office has grown into a trusted haven for patients of all ages, led by the dedicated Dr. Elan Kaufman, a board-certified dentist and dental surgeon whose expertise spans general dentistry, pediatric care, orthodontics, and beyond.[1][4][6] What began as a single-provider practice committed to personalized care has evolved into a family-focused destination that prioritizes comfort, education, and cutting-edge treatments, helping countless patients achieve lifelong oral health.

The mission of Friends Family Dental & Braces Corona NY is rooted in a comprehensive approach to oral health: treating dental issues while empowering patients through education to maintain wellness between visits.[1] Dr. Kaufman and his team understand that dental anxiety is a common barrier, so they create a welcoming environment where patients—from anxious children to seniors—are greeted warmly and heard attentively.[1][2] This patient-centered philosophy extends to flexible scheduling, including same-day or urgent appointments for emergencies, multiple family slots back-to-back, and in-house treatments that eliminate the need for referrals.[2] By combining up-to-date technology with a relaxing setting, the practice ensures treatments are efficient, effective, and comfortable for all ages, fostering continuity of care as families grow and change.[1][2]

Services at Friends Family Dental & Braces encompass a wide spectrum tailored to diverse needs. General dentistry forms the foundation, addressing cavities, decay, periodontal disease, tooth pain, broken or chipped teeth, missing teeth, and stains.[1][4] Pediatric dentistry is a hallmark, establishing the office as a 'dental home' for children from their first teeth, emphasizing preventive care like cleaning and protection to build cavity-free smiles.[4] Orthodontic solutions include Invisalign for discreet alignment, while additional offerings cover teeth whitening, emergency dentistry, wisdom teeth extraction, and treatments for dental anxiety.[1][3][5] The practice's versatility allows it to handle most family dental requirements under one roof, from routine cleanings to complex procedures, making it an ideal centralized solution.[2]

Dr. Kaufman's expertise sets the practice apart, backed by board certification and a focus on pediatric and family care that integrates specialists when needed for optimal results.[4] The single-provider model, rare in today's multi-location chains, delivers unparalleled personalization: patients benefit from direct dentist-patient relationships, customized treatment plans, and higher trust levels that encourage adherence to recommendations.[3] Unlike larger clinics with impersonal service, this office maintains a smaller, dedicated staff solely focused on quality experiences, leveraging digital electronic records and hypo-allergenic materials for safety and environmental consciousness.[4]

What truly distinguishes Friends Family Dental & Braces Corona NY is its unique value proposition: genuine family convenience paired with professional excellence. Busy parents appreciate simultaneous appointments for kids, teens, and adults, while seniors value accessibility and preventive focus.[2] The practice accepts major payments like American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, cash, and check, broadening accessibility.[2][3] Serving multiple counties including Queens, Kings, New York, Richmond, and Nassau, it bridges urban and suburban needs with a local touch.[2] In an era of fragmented care, this office stands out by treating the whole family holistically, preventing issues early, and building lasting relationships. Whether resolving acute pain or crafting radiant smiles, Friends Family Dental & Braces delivers results that enhance overall health, proving that exceptional dentistry is about more than teeth—it's about confidence, comfort, and community. With a legacy of over 20 years, Dr. Kaufman and team continue to redefine family dental care in Corona and beyond.[1][2][3][4] (Word count: 612)

I would give this place 4 stars. Very good communication and customer service. I had gotten my fillings done today in the dentist and I really like the service provided here. One constructive criticism I would give is having them work on organizational skills, only because during my fillings, doctor had to stop and fulfill exams on other patients. And I love the multitasking; but the organization part does need to improve in the place. Most importantly because patients that have to get done procedures like fillings, extractions etc. in my opinion needs to be prioritized. Other than that everything is good. I would recommend this place to my family in the near on future.

The initial in-office care was good, but the follow-up and coordination of my treatment were very poor. I was told I needed a root canal and then a crown. After completing the root canal, I returned to the office to inform them and was told the insurance request would be submitted in December and would take about two weeks. I never received any follow-up call. During a later call, I was told that I needed to contact my insurance myself. When I did, the insurance company confirmed that no request had been submitted. I then went to the office in person to inform them that I would be changing providers due to the bad experience, and at that point I was told that the request had supposedly been submitted on January 9, which did not match what I had been told previously. Additionally, the dentist had explained that I only had two weeks to place the crown because the filling was temporary, so the lack of follow-up directly affected my treatment. Good initial care, but very poor communication and follow-up. They need to significantly improve how they manage patient cases.

This dentist office is so money hungry, they will take your insurance if it’s Medicaid but if you have an emergency like a chipped or cracked tooth they quick to tell you that the doctor can’t take that at the moment, like what kind of crap is that. All my years of coming here with my 3 children, 4 nieces and nephews, my sisters, and mother it’s time to officially get another dentist.

They don't give prior notice that they won't be open and they don't reschedule to avoid wasting time.
