About

Gramercy Pediatric Dentistry, located at 195 3rd Ave in the heart of New York City's Gramercy Park neighborhood, stands as a beacon of compassionate, child-centered dental care. Established as a private practice over a decade ago, the clinic has built a stellar reputation for transforming dental visits from dreaded appointments into enjoyable experiences that foster lifelong oral health habits. Led by the highly regarded Dr. Jeremy Dixon, who has been caring for young patients in Gramercy Park for more than eight years—and with over 12 years as Director of Dentistry at St. Mary's Children's Hospital prior—the practice embodies expertise honed through years of dedicated service.[4][6][7] Dr. Dixon, a Cum Laude graduate of SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine (D.D.S., 2000), brings a gentle, compassionate approach informed by his roles as Clinical Instructor of Surgery at Weill Cornell Medical College and member of the Weill Cornell Craniofacial Team, where he contributes to multidisciplinary treatments for craniofacial disorders.[6][7]

Complementing Dr. Dixon is Dr. Lori Paires, a certified Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, whose focus on preventative care is matched by her commitment to making dentistry fun for children. A Columbia University College of Dental Medicine alumna, Dr. Paires completed her pediatric dental residency as Chief Resident at Cohen Children's Medical Center, gaining extensive experience with infants, special needs patients, and international outreach in Jamaica and the Dominican Republic.[6] Together with associates like Dr. Kelly Mastrovito and Dr. Lorrelei Paires, the team creates a lighthearted, safe environment where kids feel excited about their oral health.[2][4][5]

The mission of Gramercy Pediatric Dentistry is clear: to provide an environment where children feel comfortable, safe, and enthusiastic about learning oral hygiene, proving that dental visits can be fun rather than scary.[2] This philosophy drives their comprehensive services, including sedation dentistry for anxious patients, braces and Invisalign for orthodontic needs, fillings, sealants, whitening, sports guards, and more, alongside routine preventive care like fluoride treatments and monitoring of developing dentition.[2][4] They emphasize early intervention to guard against childhood decay, applying sealants to permanent molars and promoting habits that last a lifetime.[4]

What sets Gramercy Pediatric Dentistry apart is its unwavering child-first ethos combined with top-tier medical credentials. Unlike general practices, this specialized pediatric facility tailors every interaction to young patients, from calm, reassuring staff to thorough, painless procedures that earn rave reviews—boasting a perfect 5-star rating from over 565 patients on platforms like Birdeye.[2] Parents praise the fun, relaxed atmosphere, quick service, and flexibility, such as Dr. Dixon seeing patients on his day off.[4] The practice's dual locations in Manhattan and Brooklyn enhance accessibility, but the Gramercy site remains the flagship, conveniently at 17th Street and 3rd Avenue.[3]

Their unique value proposition lies in blending advanced clinical expertise with genuine empathy. Dr. Dixon's local roots—he resides in Gramercy with his wife Stella, daughter Audrey (who's lost numerous baby teeth), and son Robbie—foster a family-like bond with patients.[4][6] Patient testimonials highlight pain-free experiences, knowledgeable care, and the recent addition of pediatric orthodontics, allowing one-stop solutions for check-ups and braces.[2][4] In a city teeming with dental options, Gramercy excels by prioritizing emotional well-being alongside physical health, ensuring children leave smiling and confident. With extended hours including Saturdays, same-day capabilities, and a focus on special needs and craniofacial care, they deliver unparalleled pediatric dentistry that nurtures healthy smiles for generations.[1][2][3][4][6][7] This commitment to excellence, evidenced by glowing reviews and professional accolades, positions Gramercy Pediatric Dentistry as the premier choice for families in Downtown Manhattan and beyond.

My son has never been a fan of dentists because of horrible past experiences. However, this place was god sent. All I have to say is they are the best in business when it comes to working with children. My son should be getting braces next month and I cant wait to see the transformation! Thank you.

What a delightful positive dental experience Gramercy Pediatric provides for our 3 year old daughter. She looks forward to coming to the dentist for all the fun perks and upbeat staff. She gets to pick out colorful sunglasses, choose a cartoon show, pick the flavor of the teeth cleaning gel and gets a goodie bag at the end that’s she’s very excited about. The hygienists, doctors and front desk personnel are very friendly and explain things clearly for us.

Absolutely love the staff and office at Gramercy. My daughter was terrified at the thought of going to the dentist. Everyone was so kind and comforting. My little girl was begging to go back. The doctor really took the time to sit down and answer any potential questions or concerns. We felt heard, seen and safe. We look forward to being part of the family for years to come.
