Founded on the principle that oral surgery should be a seamless, patient-centered experience rather than a daunting medical ordeal, the practice has meticulously built a reputation for combining world-class surgical expertise with an environment of comfort and reassurance. For over a decade, Grand Oral Surgery has served the diverse communities of New York City, becoming the trusted referral choice for general dentists and periodontists throughout the boroughs and a sought-after destination for patients seeking the highest standard of care.

The mission of Grand Oral Surgery is unequivocal: to deliver exceptional, predictable surgical outcomes through the application of advanced technology, evidence-based techniques, and genuine compassion. The practice operates on the foundational belief that every patient deserves a personalized treatment journey, one that prioritizes their unique anatomical needs, personal anxieties, and lifestyle goals. This philosophy is embedded in every interaction, from the initial consultation to post-operative follow-up, ensuring that patients are not just informed but are active, confident participants in their own care.

What truly sets Grand Oral Surgery apart is its dual commitment to technical mastery and holistic patient experience. The practice is led by highly credentialed oral and maxillofacial surgeons who are not only skilled in the full scope of the specialty but are also deeply invested in continuous education and innovation. They specialize in complex dental implantology, including full-arch restorations like All-on-4®, zygomatic implants for patients with significant bone loss, and immediate load protocols that provide teeth-in-a-day. Their expertise extends to the meticulous management of wisdom tooth extractions, often utilizing minimally invasive techniques to reduce recovery time, and the diagnosis and treatment of oral pathologies, facial trauma, and corrective jaw surgery.

The practice's unique value proposition is delivered through its state-of-the-art facility. Suite 801 is designed as a modern, tranquil haven, far removed from the stereotypical clinical setting. It is equipped with cutting-edge diagnostic and surgical technology, including 3D cone beam computed tomography (CBCT). This in-house imaging allows for precise, three-dimensional surgical planning, enabling virtual implant placement and minimizing risks while optimizing outcomes. Furthermore, the practice offers a spectrum of sedation options, from nitrous oxide to intravenous (IV) sedation administered by a dedicated medical anesthetist, ensuring profound comfort and anxiety-free procedures.

Grand Oral Surgery distinguishes itself through an unwavering focus on collaborative care. The surgeons work in close partnership with referring dentists, specialists, and laboratory technicians to create cohesive, long-term treatment plans. This team approach guarantees that restorative dentistry is built upon a surgically perfected foundation. The administrative team further enhances the experience by expertly navigating the complexities of insurance, offering flexible financing options, and providing concierge-level coordination to make scheduling and treatment as effortless as possible for busy New Yorkers.

In essence, Grand Oral Surgery is more than a surgical practice; it is a center of excellence where science, art, and empathy converge. It appeals to the discerning patient who refuses to compromise on quality, whether they are a young professional needing a wisdom tooth extraction with minimal downtime, an individual seeking a permanent solution to dentures with advanced implants, or someone requiring complex bone grafting for oral rehabilitation. Guys, I need to tell you about this place. 10/10 service. Dr. Howard Chi and staff were VERY kind, professional and caring. They made my experience wonderful and stress-free. The office is easy to find and located on the 8th floor. I was very glad that they took my insurance and even though I did have to pay a bit because my insurance is kinda selfish I really didn't mind at all because the consult visit made me feel comfortable and sure about this place. The office was clean, staff were always polite and attentive and Dr.Chi has a kind and friendly bedside manner. My insurance took a while to get back to them which I didnt mind but that is something to be considered if you are in immediate pain. Its not their fault, all medical places have to tango with the insurance first. I went to get one of my wisdom teeth removed on 01-09-2026 and I can honestly say that it has healed well to the point where I forgot I even had the surgery last week! 😆 The wait time wasnt long and the procedure went by so fast! One moment he was asking me how I felt after inserting the IV and before I knew what was what they were done! 😂❤️ They prescribed the right amount of medication for me and I can truly say that I hardly experienced any discomfort at all post surgery. Second day was mild soreness but no pain and the medication definitely helped. This was my last extraction but if anyone needs a place for an extraction or any dental work I would DEFINITELY without a doubt recommend this place. 👌 Thank you to everyone at Grand Oral Surgery. 🙏🏽

I had a good experience. I got both my bottom wisdom teeth out. Dr. Chi was kind and answered all my questions. My wisdom teeth were impacted, so I got IV sedation. This stuff was good; one second, I was looking at the needle, the next second everything was done. Currently, on my 2nd day, no issue or pain so far. But I guess, this would vary based on the person. Overall, 5 stars.

Had two wisdom teeth removed yesterday & it was quick and easy! Everyone was so nice & comforting, and the surgeon was kind and gentle, and told you everything he was doing as he was doing it which helped with my anxiety. Minimal bleeding and swelling on post op day 1 for me, and I’m more sore than being in any pain pain! For me, I was aware but felt no pain, and if I felt anything they were quick to fix that! My advice is to rest, relax, take the meds they prescribe, and Ice packs :)

I only had weekend availability for wisdom tooth extraction, so Marc Pan was my dentist from consulting to procedure. He was definitely witty but easy to talk to and informative and tells you to be preventive next life time around to get all wisdom teeth out as early as possible. I waited until I fully healed from my extraction site to write a review. Dr.Pan was thorough, the clinic receptionists were friendly enough, very calm interior with a nice view, they have a standing x-ray panoramic in office which was convenient, it took me about 3 weeks to heal, and care instructions were written on a paper which was clear.

If your insurance doesn’t cover ct scan don’t come. They first call me and told me a total of ct scan and anesthesia is $500 and then next day when I call in to make an appointment they told me it’s $600. I was questioning why but the receptionist just kept cutting off my sentence. So I just went to do the extraction without a ct scan. However, staff here need to be trained. If they don’t have a good mood then quit the job. No one forced them to work here. I have no idea why they always have a bad attitude. You are paid to work. If you are unhappy then quit the damn job.
