About

Nestled in the heart of the vibrant Apollo Beach community at 224 Apollo Beach Blvd, Joseph C. Spoto III, DMD - Family Dentistry stands as a cornerstone of oral health and compassionate care. For years, Dr. Joseph C. Spoto III has built a practice not just on clinical excellence, but on the foundational principles of trust, family, and a personalized approach to every patient who walks through the door. This is a practice where modern dental technology meets old-fashioned patient relationships, creating an environment that alleviates anxiety and fosters lifelong dental health for individuals and families of all ages.

The history of the practice is deeply intertwined with Dr. Spoto's commitment to the Apollo Beach area. Establishing his clinic in this community, he aimed to create a dental home where neighbors could receive comprehensive care without needing to travel to larger, impersonal dental centers. His mission is straightforward yet profound: to provide the highest quality family dentistry in a comfortable, welcoming, and judgment-free atmosphere. He believes that education and prevention are the keys to long-term health, and his team dedicates significant time to explaining conditions, treatment options, and preventive techniques, empowering patients to make informed decisions about their care.

The expertise at Joseph C. Spoto III, DMD, is broad, encompassing the full spectrum of general and family dentistry. Dr. Spoto's skill set allows him to address the dental needs of toddlers, teens, adults, and seniors, making it convenient for entire families to schedule appointments together. The practice's services range from routine preventive care, such as cleanings and exams, to more complex restorative procedures like crowns, bridges, and root canals. A significant focus is placed on cosmetic dentistry, including teeth whitening and veneers, to help patients achieve not only healthy smiles but confident ones. Furthermore, the practice offers solutions for sleep apnea and TMJ disorders, addressing issues that impact overall well-being beyond the mouth.

What truly sets this practice apart is its unique value proposition centered on a patient-first philosophy and a warm, local practice feel. In an era of large corporate dental groups, Dr. Spoto's practice remains a personal, doctor-owned establishment. This means decisions are made based on patient need, not corporate quotas. The office environment is consistently noted for its friendly, down-to-earth staff who know patients by name and remember their stories. Dr. Spoto himself is recognized for his calm, patient demeanor and his meticulous attention to detail, ensuring that every procedure is performed to the highest standard. The practice leverages modern technology, including digital X-rays for reduced radiation and advanced tools for precise treatment, all within a setting that feels more like a visit to a trusted friend than a clinical ordeal.

Ultimately, Joseph C. Spoto III, DMD - Family Dentistry distinguishes itself through its unwavering commitment to the Apollo Beach community, its comprehensive care for generations of families, and its blend of advanced dentistry with genuine compassion. It is a practice built on lasting relationships, where the goal is to be your partner in oral health for a lifetime, ensuring that every visit contributes to a healthier, brighter smile in a supportive and professional environment.

HIGHLY recommended. I finally found an ethical dentist that doesn’t try to “upsell” procedures that are not necessary. He thoroughly explained recommended treatment, cost and performed procedure with care and compassion. Very trustworthy including an excellent professional staff.

Beware of this practice! We gave them our insurance cards..pointed out the insurance filing address to the front desk. At no point did they ever say.." we don't participate with any insurance programs " Accepting my responsibility for this.. I should have checked with my insurance company..but we had just moved here and needed to catch up on our dental care. But likewise..it was the responsibility of the office to TELL us they didn't accept insurance. So we ended up getting a 500.00 bill. I questioned why we weren't told, when we presented our card that they didn't take the insurance. The response I got was " well sometimes they pay something and sometimes they don't " again..accepting my part of this mess..that is a terrible answer. Then they called today to see if we were keeping our future appointments..and when my husband called back to tell her we were not, as they aren't participating with insurance..she in a very nasty tone..said " well you are planning on paying your bill aren't you?" Just terrible. I am sad that this is what customer service has devolved in to.. we will find another dentist, get our records and not bother them further. To ask us though, if we are going to pay our bill? Shutter the doors people..you don't deserve to be serving the public.
