About

L.E.S. Dental Group, situated at 62 Rivington Street in the heart of New York's vibrant Lower East Side, stands as a beacon of modern, patient-centered dental care in a neighborhood rich with history and diversity. The practice is built on a foundational belief that exceptional dental health is integral to overall well-being and confidence. While specific historical details about the practice's founding are not publicly documented in depth, its location and operational philosophy suggest a deep integration into the community it serves, offering a contemporary healthcare experience within a historic NYC enclave known for its artistic spirit and cultural melting pot.

The mission of L.E.S. Dental Group is clearly oriented towards providing accessible, high-quality dental care in a comfortable and anxiety-free environment. Recognizing that dental visits can be a source of stress for many, the practice prioritizes a gentle, communicative, and transparent approach. The team aims to demystify dental procedures, empowering patients with knowledge about their oral health and involving them actively in treatment planning. This patient-first ethos is tailored to meet the needs of a wide demographic, from long-time neighborhood residents to young professionals and families who call the Lower East Side home.

In terms of services and expertise, the practice positions itself as a comprehensive general dentistry provider with a modern touch. The core specialization lies in delivering a full spectrum of routine and advanced dental care, emphasizing preventive dentistry as the cornerstone of long-term health. The expertise of the dental professionals likely encompasses areas such as cosmetic dentistry, including teeth whitening and veneers; restorative procedures like crowns, bridges, and dental implants; and essential preventive care through cleanings, exams, and oral cancer screenings. The use of modern technology is implied as a key component of their service delivery, aiming for accurate diagnoses and efficient treatments.

The unique value proposition of L.E.S. Dental Group is its combination of community-focused care within a convenient, urban setting. What sets this business apart is likely its commitment to creating a welcoming, non-judgmental atmosphere where patients feel heard and respected. In a city where healthcare can feel impersonal and rushed, this practice strives to build lasting relationships. Its location on Rivington Street places it at the crossroads of a dynamic neighborhood, allowing it to offer the convenience of local care with the standards of a high-end dental practice. The focus is not just on treating dental issues but on cultivating a dental home where prevention, education, and aesthetic satisfaction are equally valued.

While specific details about the founding dentists' personal stories or practice milestones are not readily available, the business's distinction comes from its adaptive, patient-centric model in a competitive NYC market. It appeals to those seeking reliable, quality dental work without the pretense often associated with Manhattan healthcare. The practice presumably invests in continuous education and technology to stay current, ensuring patients receive care based on the latest advancements. Ultimately, L.E.S. Dental Group distinguishes itself by blending professional dental excellence with the authentic, community-oriented character of the Lower East Side, making comprehensive oral healthcare an accessible and positive experience for all its patients.

I had a great experience visiting this Dental office for the first time Yesterday. Extremely nice staff at the front desk. I really like the woman who did our X-rays . Very knowledgeable doctor & hygienist. They gave me great referrals for my siblings and did a great job cleaning my teeth. I’ll be back again. Thank You !

I love this practice. Everyone is so nice and helpful. I never have a long wait time and the hygienists are always kind and gentle. This practice is so much better than those new fancy ones that are a chain. Can’t recommend them enough!

I had a fantastic experience on my first visit. Everyone was incredibly friendly, from the front desk staff to those in the back. I really hope this becomes my permanent dentist office because I’m tired of searching for a dentist who genuinely cares about my dental health rather than just looking to make a quick buck.

The place doesn't look like much, but I read reviews around, and it's an honest place. I mean, they don't trick you into buying treatment you don't actually need. My dentist is Dr. Carlina Damanou (not sure of the spelling). She is a human perfectionist and laughs at my jokes. She is highly respected by her helpers. She changed three aging crowns for me. I am a middle-aged man; it was painless, perfectly fitted, and I can consciously smile wider because it looks so natural. I looked for an honest artist, healer, and dentist for 10 years. She is my only now, and trust me, I am never settling for less than the best. I used to fly to Bangkok just for my teeth 🦷.

2/3/2025 TLDR Please do not come here. They are unhygienic, provide poor care, and have morally questionable dental practices. They will try to scam you by lying to you about your health to upsell you treatments that you don’t need. I came here for the first time last week to get my annual dental cleaning and left feeling like more harm was done to my teeth than good. Firstly, their new patient intake form REQUIRES you to submit your social security before getting treated. Do not give them your social, an office shouldn’t need it if they have your insurance card info. The cleaning itself was subpar — the hygienist had no bedside manner and took 10 minutes for the entire cleaning. She was very rough and splashed water all over my face and cut part of my gums. I left the cleaning that night with my gums bleeding. After the cleaning she proceeded to tell me that I had a gum infection and needed to be treated immediately with a gel antibiotic (clindamycin) which would cost $500 out of pocket because it was not covered by insurance. I immediately researched it and saw it typically is covered so I declined the treatment. I got a second opinion from a dentist that looked at my x rays from that day and confirmed that she LIED and I do not have an infection.
