About

Levy Dental Arts, located at 119 W 57th St #801 in the heart of Midtown Manhattan, New York, NY 10019, stands as a beacon of excellence in general, restorative, rehabilitative, and cosmetic dentistry. Established in 1987, this esteemed practice has built a stellar reputation over nearly four decades, drawing patients from across the Tri-State Area who seek personalized, high-quality care that prioritizes both oral health and aesthetic beauty. Led by the board-certified cosmetic dentist Dr. Uri Levy, DMD, Levy Dental Arts embodies a commitment to treating each patient as a unique individual, fostering strong doctor-patient relationships through one-on-one attention and comprehensive consultations.[1][2][4]

The history of Levy Dental Arts is deeply intertwined with the professional journey of Dr. Uri Levy, whose pursuit of dental excellence began with a Bachelor of Science from The State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1983, followed by his Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1987. That same year, he earned certifications in CPR and Emergency Cardiac Care from the American Heart Association, setting the stage for a career marked by continuous advancement. Post-graduation, Dr. Levy completed a General Practice Residency at the Veterans Administration Medical Center in 1988 and obtained Covenant Implant-Prosthetic Certification in 1990. His dedication to lifelong learning is evident in his annual commitment of 40 hours to professional development and recertification in CPR in 2010. Now serving on staff at Mount Sinai Hospital as an Instructor in the Residency Program, Dr. Levy has also shared his expertise through lectures, including 'Management of the Cardiac Patient' at the Liberty Dental Conference in Philadelphia (1988) and 'Xerostomia' at the World Dental Conference in Jerusalem (1987).[4]

At its core, the mission of Levy Dental Arts is to help patients achieve and maintain long-term dental health while delivering exceptional cosmetic results in a warm, relaxing environment. Unlike many high-volume practices that rush through appointments, Levy Dental Arts emphasizes quality over quantity, ensuring every patient receives undivided attention to address their specific needs, answer questions thoroughly, and craft tailored treatment plans. This patient-centered approach is enhanced by state-of-the-art technology, including digital X-rays for reduced radiation, intraoral cameras for transparent diagnostics, and modern amenities like soothing music, ergonomic chairs, flat-screen TVs, and a spa-like atmosphere designed to alleviate dental anxiety.[1][3]

The practice offers a comprehensive suite of services encompassing preventive care such as routine cleanings and checkups; cosmetic enhancements including professional teeth whitening, porcelain veneers, bonding, and Invisalign clear aligners; restorative solutions like fillings, crowns, bridges, and dental implants; periodontal treatments for gum disease from gingivitis to advanced therapy; and emergency dentistry for urgent issues like severe pain, broken teeth, or swelling. All services are provided under one roof, eliminating the need for multiple referrals and streamlining care for busy New Yorkers.[2][3]

What truly sets Levy Dental Arts apart is its unique value proposition: a harmonious blend of cutting-edge expertise, compassionate care, and unparalleled convenience in the fast-paced Manhattan lifestyle. Dr. Levy's board certification in cosmetic dentistry, combined with the team's recognition as one of NYC's best, ensures superior outcomes in both function and aesthetics. The practice accommodates early morning, evening, and weekend appointments, making top-tier care accessible without disrupting demanding schedules. Patients rave about the relaxing visits that make them 'love their smile—and their dentist' as much as long-time loyalists do. This focus on holistic well-being, from minimizing discomfort during procedures to empowering patients with clear visualizations of their dental health, distinguishes Levy Dental Arts from competitors who may prioritize volume over personalized excellence.[1][3]

In an era where dental care often feels transactional, Levy Dental Arts redefines the experience by building lasting trust and delivering transformative results. Whether revitalizing a damaged smile with precise implants, brightening teeth for newfound confidence, or preventing future issues through proactive periodontal care, the practice promises 'excellence as our promise.' Conveniently steps from Central Park, it serves families, professionals, and visitors alike, solidifying its status as the premier dentist in Manhattan. New patients are warmly welcomed, invited to schedule a Smile Consultation to embark on their journey to optimal oral health.[2][3] This legacy of dedication, innovation, and patient empowerment ensures Levy Dental Arts remains a trusted partner for lifetimes of healthy, radiant smiles.

Levy Dental Arts has been my provider for over a decade and I have also successfully recommended many of my employees to this practice. The staff continues to deliver stellar service. The practitioners are attentive and thorough. They have expanded their office over the years so there are even more options for services and appointments. Highly recommended.

About 3 weeks ago I was suffering with a really painful wisdom tooth with a major cavity in it. So painful I could feel the vibrations of people’s voices in my face. I’m a bartender so I have no insurance but Dr. Levy showed me so much compassion and kindness that I left his office so thankful that there are humans like him in the world. I had to scramble to get the money to have it removed and once I did (about an hour after my appointment) I called back and unfortunately a front desk person who was not the person who helped me at the time of the appointment (Diana helped me when I was there and she was also so kind and compassionate as well) but the person I spoke to upon call back was pretty cold and told me Dr. Levy couldn’t remove my tooth until November so I ended up going to a far less kind dentist for the removal. But I get that people are difficult to deal with and didn’t take it personally that the person on the phone didn’t really feel like helping me. But Dr. Levy would have been my first choice if it had worked out. He’s a really good human and I am still very thankful for the kindness he showed me.

I had an infected tooth that needed to come out. Dr Levy convinced me that I needed a bridge due to issues with my other teeth. I agreed but then they told me a regular bridge would be $8k. You serious?? I called back after the appointment and told the office I was not interested in said bridge but would like to come have the tooth pulled and leave it at that. About 10 minutes later Dr Levy called me himself and tried to bully me into this expensive bridge. Mind you he’s an elderly gentleman and I am a younger woman. I told him the bridge was ridiculously priced and only wanted the tooth pulled. He refused. Let me say that again - he REFUSED. Said “Oh, well that could be considered a liability for me.” Excuse me?? You are a dentist - you pull teeth - this is your job. I was completely aghast that this older man personally called a younger woman and tried to bully her into dental work she neither needed nor wanted. So I called the office back and complained to the front desk. They couldn’t care less. I will never go back and I recommend no one else to go to this man either. Shameful. Absolutely shameful. I may be younger than you, Mr Levy. I may be a woman. However, I am not stupid and I will not let some old man bully me into unnecessary, expensive dental work. Unreal. And no this isn’t my real name but I would hope you remember me - or perhaps this is a normal routine for you…
