About

The Manhattan Maxillofacial Surgery Group, located at 16 E 52nd St #1101, New York, NY 10022, stands as a premier practice dedicated to comprehensive oral and maxillofacial surgery in the heart of East Midtown Manhattan. Led by board-certified oral surgeons Dr. Del Valle and Dr. Shahgoli, this distinguished group specializes in advanced surgical interventions on the mouth, teeth, and facial regions, delivering exceptional care that combines cutting-edge techniques with a patient-centered approach. While specific historical records are limited in available sources, the practice embodies a legacy of excellence in oral surgery, building on the rich tradition of specialized care in New York City, where academic institutions like Weill Cornell Medicine have pioneered advancements in the field since their establishment as major programs offering everything from routine dentistry to complex reconstructive procedures. Manhattan Maxillofacial Surgery Group upholds this tradition in a private setting, focusing on both routine and intricate procedures to restore function, aesthetics, and quality of life for patients of all ages.[3][5] The mission of the group is rooted in providing comprehensive, compassionate care that prioritizes patient comfort, understanding, and optimal outcomes. They treat each patient as an individual, offering one-on-one attention in a calming environment, explaining diagnoses and treatments in accessible terms, and utilizing the highest quality materials and newest technologies. This commitment ensures seamless, stress-free experiences, whether for simple extractions or full-mouth rehabilitations, setting a higher standard in oral surgery.[2][3] Their services encompass a wide array of oral and maxillofacial procedures, including dental implants for permanent tooth replacement, bone grafting to support reconstruction, wisdom teeth removal, and advanced surgical management of conditions affecting the jaws, face, and oral cavity. Drawing parallels to leading programs, their expertise likely extends to areas such as temporomandibular joint (TMJ) disorders—both non-surgical and surgical—benign and malignant diseases of the mouth and jaws, congenital deformities, facial trauma repair, and dental rehabilitation under anesthesia for adults and pediatrics. They collaborate implicitly with multidisciplinary teams for complex cases involving head and neck oncology or reconstructive needs, ensuring continuity of care.[1][3] What truly sets Manhattan Maxillofacial Surgery Group apart is their unique value proposition: a boutique practice that delivers academic-level expertise in an intimate, personalized setting. Unlike larger hospital-based divisions, they emphasize treating one patient at a time, fostering genuine respect and compassion, and maintaining direct accessibility without answering services. Their board-certified surgeons bring specialized proficiency in facial and oral surgery, paying meticulous attention to detail to achieve natural-looking, durable results that enhance smiles and well-being. Patients benefit from a peaceful procedural environment designed to minimize anxiety, timely appointments, and comprehensive post-operative support. In a city teeming with dental practices, this group's focus on advanced, full-scope maxillofacial surgery—coupled with a philosophy that views patient care as a privilege—distinguishes them as the go-to experts for those seeking transformative oral health solutions. Whether addressing tooth loss through state-of-the-art implants, managing jaw pathologies, or performing corrective surgeries for trauma or growth issues, they empower patients with confidence and comfort. As New York evolves, so does their dedication to innovation, mirroring research-driven advancements in clinical trials and therapies that improve surgical outcomes and life quality. Choosing Manhattan Maxillofacial Surgery Group means entrusting your care to surgeons who not only possess technical mastery but also a passion for making people smile, ensuring every visit contributes to lasting oral and facial harmony.[1][2][3][5] (Word count: 612)

Wow! I have pretty bad anxiety around dental work and kept putting off my wisdom teeth extraction. Everyone here made me feel comfortable. The doctor took his time in explaining the procedure and made sure to check in on me. He was very honest in what would be helpful for me. Very painless experience. I had more pain getting my nose pierced 😅Highly recommend.

Had to get a tooth extracted due to another dentist who was supposed to install a crown for me telling me that it was too decayed to be restored. He directed me here to get it done and good on him for the recommendation. Everyone working here was very nice and always seemed to know what they were doing, and Dr. Shagoli himself was a great guy too. While I did get a tooth removed and a bone graft added which took about an hour, the IV sedation I was given made it feel only like 20 minutes and only a short tolerable jolt of pain when the tooth was being removed. When I was told that I needed to get the tooth I had removed taken out, I was very anxious. But my experience with these people really helped in subsiding my anxiety, and I applaud everyone who works here.
