I had the same Dentist for 25 years and being a horrible and very very fearful dental patient I was full of despair when he retired because he knew how to deal with me and was very gentle. After trying some other Dentists, I found Dr Fontana. Dr. Fontana was amazing! He was patient and understanding, he did not hurt me at all. He also understood and did not make me feel bad for not being able to afford thousands of dollars in dental work as I have no dental insurance but was willing to take care of my immediate need while also giving me suggestions for next steps to healthy teeth when I was able to do so. I was really impressed by him and his whole staff. I highly highly recommend. Thank you so much Dr. Fontana.
I've been going to Dr. Fontana for years. He's wonderful! Very responsive and caring. His dental hygenists have always been nice to my teeth. Dr. Fontana teaches dental hygiene as well as his practice with Dr. Miller. I've seen Dr. Miller once, and he was great also.
My husband went for a cavity follow up…something different was done not cover by insurance but, husband thinking he is having a cavity feeling. Leaving the clinic, it was asked to pay $200…by his surprise, was told for the service received but they will submit a claim so insurance will reimburse him. Insurance sent a letter denying the claim. Call insurance to find out why…insurance explained that it was something different done according to the code used for billing and they don’t cover that and if this code was enter by mistake…they can resubmit the claim with the correct code and they will pay for it. Three weeks passed and the clinic hasn’t done anything to rectify the mistake. I have left the clinic after years with them. I never had an issue with the previous management but, now under a new management…this happened and very disappointed.
If I could give them zero stars I would. Theres a reason no one has left a review in 5 years and my guess would be that this place has gone downhill fast.
The way that they treated my 5 year old child was absolutely disgusting. Prior to ever making it to a first appointment they rescheduled us three times. After we went the first time, we had a crown scheduled. We got to the appointment, they claimed to have called me to reschedule it, which they 100% did not. When I raised question of this, they immediately told me they’d refer us to Eastman and asked us to leave the office. I have had the same dentist, and my children also had this same dentist for my entire life, and both of theirs. Unfortunately, they no longer accept our insurance, as most places currently in Rochester are also deciding to do the same. It’s now going to be five months before a dentist can look at my son’s teeth.
I never leave reviews, and I’ve contemplated bothering, but I hope this saves another person or parent the grief that I have gone through with this total waste of time of an office.
Do not go to this dentist!
