About

National Dental Chelsea, located at 241 W 30th St, New York, NY 10001, stands as a premier destination for comprehensive dental care in the heart of Manhattan's vibrant Chelsea neighborhood. As part of the esteemed National Dental network, this location embodies a commitment to transforming dental visits into stress-free, empowering experiences that prioritize patient comfort, oral health, and aesthetic confidence. Founded under the visionary leadership of Dr. Nitin Doshi in 2016, National Dental has rapidly expanded to nine practices across Manhattan, Queens, Nassau, and Suffolk counties, employing 140 full-time staff and 25 skilled dentists. Dr. Doshi, who earned his Bachelor of Dental Science from the University of Bombay in 1971 and his New York dental license in 1975 following training at NYU School of Dentistry, brings decades of hands-on experience from managing multi-modality dental offices. His philosophy of constant growth, innovation, and education drives the practice, incorporating partnerships with industry leaders like Invisalign, Nobel Biocare, Nulife Dental Laboratory, and training from the renowned Spear Institute.[6][5][4]

The mission of National Dental Chelsea is clear: to deliver thoughtful, high-quality care that goes beyond healthy teeth, fostering a positive environment where patients feel at ease from arrival to departure. Every team member—dentists, hygienists, and support staff—is selected for their compassion, expertise, and dedication to listening and understanding individual needs. This patient-centered approach ensures personalized treatment plans that empower families of all ages, from children to seniors, to achieve lifelong optimal oral health. The practice welcomes patients with open arms, offering a full spectrum of services under one roof, eliminating the need for external referrals and streamlining care delivery.[4][5][8]

At National Dental Chelsea, services encompass preventive care such as routine exams and teeth cleanings, general dentistry including fillings, crowns, and root canals, restorative solutions like dental implants and porcelain crowns, cosmetic enhancements with teeth whitening and veneers, orthodontic options via clear aligners, and prompt dental emergency treatments. Restorative dentistry is a hallmark, where expert dentists repair and restore damaged or missing teeth, helping patients rediscover the joy of smiling confidently. Special promotions, like packages including implant posts, abutments, porcelain crowns, free consultations, and X-rays, underscore their accessibility. The office is equipped to diagnose and treat the full range of dental issues, supported by a membership club that provides comprehensive coverage and exclusive benefits for uninsured patients, promoting affordability without compromising quality.[1][4][7]

What truly sets National Dental Chelsea apart is its unique value proposition: a seamless blend of convenience, expertise, and genuine care in a bustling urban setting. Patient testimonials rave about the exceptional staff—figures like Pat—who make even apprehensive children feel comfortable, delivering GREAT work that stands the test of time. One of the worst dental practices I’ve been to. (The Chelsea location) The only positive thing to note was that the gentleman who did my X-rays was very efficient. I got there about 15 minutes early (my appointment was at 3pm) and filled out paperwork. Was called back by the guy to do my X-rays. Then waited over 15 minutes to see the dental hygienist. My cleaning by Val was sub par. Felt rushed and she did not floss my teeth. By this time with the waiting - it was 330 when we finished my cleaning. I was then brought downstairs to see the doctor and I waited in the dental chair for ONE HOUR with the door wide open and people just parading through the hallways. Dr. Che (I believe that was her name) came in the room in a rush and didn’t acknowledge how far behind she was. Looked at my teeth for two seconds, asked if I wanted to talk about the slight turn of my front teeth, then seemed annoyed when I said yes. I had a question regarding the price of Invisalign (my insurance covers it 100%) but she told me they only initially pay $1840 and I will be responsible for the balance. I showed her that my insurance pays it within 12 months by pulling up my benefits but she couldn’t be bothered. It felt like a money grab to me. She told me I could go somewhere else where they will bill it for me. (How lovely). I was then waiting for someone to do a molding of my mouth for a nightguard, but at that point I had been there for TWO hours so I decided to just get up and leave. All that to say - an hour wait to see a doctor who spent 5 minutes on me. (She clearly has time management issues). Additionally, the reception area is very nice. But once you go into the actual dental rooms - it’s dirty. I don’t recommend this place.
