I just had my first visit at the 1485 1st Ave location, and the team was very pleasant and professional. Dr. Lee was kind and informative. The hygienist Yinny Ortega was absolutely amazing, the most thorough and best teeth cleaning I’ve had in a long time. My teeth looked and felt great after cleaning. I definitely will be returning regularly as needed.

I started an implant 2 years ago but for a K9 they were charging me 4700.00. I feel ill lost my job and could not pay to have this completed. Yes, I know this is not National Dental fault. However, I got Medicaid and this includes Dental and I went to another dentist office that told me that since I have part of the work done that, they can complete it for only 1gran, but they needed to find out what is the brand that they use for the implant. Called National Dental and they completely refused to give me this information.

Keep moving! Do not schedule an appointment with National Dental! Dr. Ganz is harsh and doesn’t truly listen because he’s in such a hurry to get you out of his chair and on to the next! I paid for an implant which was never completed. Dr. Ganz put the implant screw in and I was in pain for 2 weeks afterwards. Come to find out, my bone completely disintegrated and I got a really bad infection (rush job). He removed the screw, which hurt like CRAZY and said when would you like to try again? Seriously? No thank you! Now every time I call (about 8 times now) to speak with Vanessa about getting some of the money back, she’s not available, she’s at lunch, on vacation, at the hospital, blah, blah, blah. I’ve never experienced such unprofessional, incompetent people in my life! The girls at the front desk are nice, but definitely covering for management!

Have had great Dental experiences in the past but unfortunately this place ain’t one… they struck out 3 out of 3 times starting with a very rude Dr. Ganz. As an anxious patient he was very dismissive abrasive & didn’t inspire any confidence in me to have all the work ( more than what I wanted or could afford),but they insisted on it. Also disappointed that the office manager who seemed pleasant, informed me that Dr no longer works there,& in he walks in his usual rude manner! Being lied to does not inspire confidence in their work! Other unsavory experiences there also, but this is enough for anyone to wonder about the integrity of the work done there.

BEWARE! I wish I had read reviews before going here, there are so many great options for dentists in Manhattan but this location of national dental is truly horrible! I visited the UES location to get a new crown since I’ve had good experiences with the Chelsea location, and it was a huge mistake. Throughout the entire process I felt totally not taken care of, or attended to. My dentist hardly saw me and ordered the wrong sized crown that had to be redone, while I was waiting for my new crown, she put in the ill fitting one, which came out while I was drinking and I swallowed it. When I came in after the weekend to get a temporary put in, the dentist hardly saw me and I had to ask for the area to be cleaned (which it barely was). I was also not giving a protective cover during my X-ray and had to wait for almost 40 minutes at each follow up appointment. While Tiffany at the front desk and the clinical were very professional and kind, the other woman working at the front desk was very curt and unhelpful, and telling me my crown wasn’t ready and would take an additional week (when Tiffany had already called and told me it was?!) she also kept trying to charge me additional fees for the follow up appointments needed to fix the practice’s mistakes, even though I paid for the entire procedure in full at my first appointment and was told by the dentist that their mistakes were being fixed for free. It was very disappointing to feel that my care wasn’t handled more professionally, especially when things started to go wrong at the fault of the practice. My advice is to STAY AWAY!
