Very cool experience. We weren't sure what to expect and decided to check it out and we're glad we did. The artifacts on display were very neat and it goes through the history of the wars the US we're apart of. If you're looking for something fun (free) in Saratoga definitely check it out.
These nice people helped me to find out about the abandoned Air Force base my father worked at in 1965! Such a great Museum & staff!
Fascinating tour of New York's military contributions. I was not aware of how much New York was was involved in nuclear submarine technology.
This is one of my favorite museums in our area. I am passionate about our veterans and this museum is always paying tribute to them. Recently I was there and toured through the Vietnam War section with Garth LLoyd, a Vietnam vet himself. The staff is very helpful, the exhibits are periodically rotated, the exhibits cover many wars, highlights Saratoga, and this museum is free - I hope you go.
This is a great military museum showcasing NY state’s participation in American military history. It’s set up very well and the docent (a Viet Nam war veteran) was extremely knowledgeable and nice to speak with. The museum is free but, donations are requested. Definitely worth a stop if you have the time.
