My daughter was treated by Dr. Olivia Drew; she put on a friendly (but deceptive) face while performing a molar implant that insurance had approved. In my opinion, she lacks experience with implants. After a long wait—with excuses about the gap closing, lab delays, and so on—the temporary molar finally arrived but broke within a week. We went back, and she said she would order a permanent zirconia one and cover the cost herself. We waited and waited, only for her to tell us later that insurance wouldn't pay for it. I reminded her that she had promised to cover it, but she just put on an innocent, "sweet" act and said, "Oh, sorry, my bosses didn't approve it." When I asked the cost, she said the remaining implant work and the crown would be $2,000. I just stared at her 😡🤬😡🤬🤬🤬, walked out, and called the insurance company. They referred me to another dentist at 204th and Broadway—someone professional, serious, and responsible—qualities Dr. Olivia Drew completely lacks. That was my bad experience; in my view, she is just another run-of-the-mill dentist who cares more about $$$$ than her credibility or the patient's well-being. She is a hollow person. The only saving grace of that place is the staff—the assistants are kind—but otherwise, I’m just trying to forget the whole bad experience. (Heads up) Because of the delay, the gap closed, so now we have to try to reopen it to place the molar—all thanks to this mediocre doctor. Be very careful about trusting that "trust me" look on her face. This is my real-life experience.
