About

Smile Crafters - Manhattan, located at 1614 Amsterdam Ave, New York, NY 10031, is a premier dental practice dedicated to reimagining the dental experience through exceptional general and cosmetic dentistry services. Established in 2005, Smile Crafters has grown from a visionary initiative into a trusted name in New York City's vibrant dental landscape, committed to delivering superior patient care in a welcoming and modern environment. The practice's history reflects a profound understanding of patient anxieties surrounding dental visits, transforming traditional appointments into comfortable, personalized journeys focused on long-term oral health and aesthetic enhancement.[3] At the heart of Smile Crafters' mission is a preventative approach to dentistry, emphasizing early intervention to minimize costly treatments while maximizing smiles. By combining the expertise of highly qualified dentists, hygienists, and periodontists, the practice ensures comprehensive care for patients of all ages, from routine maintenance to advanced cosmetic transformations.[3][6]

What truly sets Smile Crafters - Manhattan apart is its specialized team of professionals, each bringing rigorous education from top institutions such as New York University College of Dentistry, University of Maryland, and Tufts University. Led by accomplished dentists like Dr. Yael Mor, Dr. Sima Hoch, Dr. Ilanna Aminov, Dr. Ryan Shargel, Dr. Kristina Gabrilyants, Dr. Aurash Abrishamchi, Dr. Andrew Willner, and Dr. Hanna Garber, the team offers multilingual support in English, Hebrew, and Russian, making high-quality care accessible to diverse Manhattan communities.[3] This expertise enables Smile Crafters to excel in a wide array of services, including professional dental cleanings that remove plaque and tartar to prevent decay and gum disease, Invisalign for discreet teeth straightening without metal braces, and general dentistry focused on optimal oral health.[3][6]

The unique value proposition of Smile Crafters lies in its holistic, patient-centered philosophy. Unlike conventional dental offices that prioritize volume over comfort, Smile Crafters integrates preventative strategies with in-house treatments and at-home advice, helping patients manage insurance costs effectively. Their superior cleanings, performed by skilled hygienists, go beyond surface-level care, addressing gum health to foster fresher breath, brighter smiles, and disease prevention. Invisalign treatments feature custom-molded, removable aligners that progressively realign teeth, offering a virtually invisible alternative approved by the FDA for those seeking orthodontic solutions without the hassle of traditional braces.[3] This commitment to innovation and comfort creates an environment where patients feel empowered and cared for, standing out in a competitive market filled with generic practices.[2]

Smile Crafters distinguishes itself further through its emphasis on accessibility and excellence in the heart of Manhattan. While many dental practices list multiple locations, Smile Crafters - Manhattan serves the specific needs of the upper Manhattan area, including neighborhoods around Amsterdam Avenue, with a focus on building lasting relationships. The practice's growth since 2005 underscores its adaptability and dedication to evolving dental standards, incorporating advanced techniques to deliver precise, efficient treatments. Patients appreciate the personalized consultations that lead to tailored treatment plans, ensuring every visit aligns with individual goals—whether maintaining family oral health or achieving a celebrity-worthy smile makeover.[3]

In an era where oral health directly impacts overall wellness, Smile Crafters - Manhattan positions itself as a beacon of comprehensive care. By housing a team of Doctors of Dental Surgery and Dental Medicine from prestigious programs, the practice not only treats but educates, promoting best practices for lifelong dental hygiene. This forward-thinking approach, coupled with a warm atmosphere, has earned the practice a reputation for reliability and results. What sets Smile Crafters apart from competitors is not just the technical prowess but the genuine reimagination of dentistry as an enjoyable experience—one that leaves patients smiling confidently both inside and out. With over 20 years of service as of 2026, Smile Crafters continues to craft exceptional outcomes, proving that outstanding dental care is both an art and a science.[3] (Word count: 612)

Hygienist and Dentist were very nice and very good at their jobs. Left feeling clean and gave me lots of advice. When there were scheduling problems, I never felt like it was a huge issue and it was handled very well. Recommend!

My experience with SmileCrafters has been completely unprofessional from start to finish. The last time I went in for an appointment, I had my X-rays done and was then left sitting in the dental chair for over two hours without anyone checking on me or explaining what was going on. No dentist, no hygienist, nothing. It wasn’t until I finally got up and asked what was happening that someone came into the room. A very young staff member briefly checked my teeth and then casually said, “Okay, you’re all good to go. What else can I help you with?” I was stunned. I told her that no one had cleaned my teeth yet. She looked surprised and rushed out of the room. After another 40 minutes, someone finally came in to do the cleaning. The entire visit felt disorganized, dismissive, and like my time didn’t matter at all. Now I’m trying to schedule another cleaning, and it’s been just as bad if not worse. I’ve been calling for two days straight, nearly every hour from when they claim they open until they close, and no one answers the phone. When someone does answer, they speak quickly and immediately transfer me without explanation. I’ve waited on hold with transfer music for 30 minutes at a time before hanging up. At this point, my calls are going straight to voicemail. I’ve left multiple messages, and none have been returned. It genuinely feels like they are avoiding my calls. This office is disorganized, unresponsive, and completely unprofessional. Between the excessive wait times, lack of communication, and refusal to answer the phone, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere if you value your time and basic professionalism.

I called to schedule an appointment as a returning patient WHILE AT WORK and the front desk answered speaking in Spanish which is ok because i understand but as tried to make the appointment she kept putting me hold and while looking for an appointment it sounded like she didn't know what she was doing... so she palced me on a longer hold. As i write this review Im unbelievably still on hold because I told her to transfer me to the Russian front desk lady who is very efficient.. and i'm still on hold

More interested in money than helping others, will ask you to pay for procedures rather than running dental insurance. And falsely claim they will refund you back …. They will not. They are running schemes to receive money upfront without having to service people or do a good job. Do not come here

I just had my first and last appointment at Smile Crafters. I waited for an hour. No one ever apologized. No one ever introduced themselves. I had to ask who the tech and dentist were before they started. The dentist had to do my cleaning because they were so backed up, no techs were available. She blasted me in the face with the coldest ice water I've ever felt and didn't floss my teeth or use the scraper. The tech who did the teeth polishing took about 12 seconds to complete the entire job, rinsed my mouth, then left the room. Came back in and just said, "you're done." As I got up from the chair, I noticed one of the tools they used to clean my teeth was just sitting on the ground...gross. No "so sorry for the wait," no "thanks for coming in today," zero customer service or bedside manner. Needless to say, I will not be visiting this office again.
