I’ve had such a great experience at SoHo Dental. The entire office is clean, welcoming, and runs right on time, which I really appreciate. Dr. Islam is fantastic—knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely cares about making you feel comfortable. She takes the time to explain everything clearly and never makes you feel rushed or pressured. I felt completely at ease and confident in the care I was receiving. Highly recommend SoHo Dental and Dr. Islam if you’re looking for a dentist you can truly trust.

Everyone I encountered, Silvie, Jay, and Dr. Rurkraut was delightful and very professional. Dr. Nick himself had a great bedside manner - calm, self assured, smiled readily, and afforded me all the time i needed to ask the many questions I had for him. I only went in for a cleaning and check up, but should I need any work done im confident I will be treated with the same care and respect. Thank you, team!

The most frustrating dental experience I ever had. Dr. Takos is a cash-hungry swindler. Took off work to go get a crown that popped off a molar looked at. The dentist said even though the tooth and crown were undamaged, she wouldn’t take the easy (and cheap) option and just re-cement it, and said that paying $2000 for a new crown was the only option. After making some calls and doing some research, I told her assistant that I really just wanted it re-cemented because a new and expensive crown still didn’t seem necessary. Her assistant said this was alright as long as I signed something acknowledging that I would be to blame if anything were to go wrong after, which I said I would. The dentist then came back in and said that she still wouldn’t re-cement it, that it would be unethical to do so, and that she would be risking her name, reputation, and license if she did, even if I signed a paper stating otherwise. I was taken aback by how dramatic and uncooperative she was being, seeing as the worst that would happen is that the crown would just pop off again and it would be my fault as detailed in the would-be signed document. I gave up and left the office without any fix for my detached crown, all because the dentist wanted me to pay her $2000 for a new one instead of $50 for a simple re-cementing. Total money-grab, and now my risk for complications from the exposed tooth and gums increases with each passing day. Stay far away from this office and “dentist.”
