I’ve been going through dentists like no tomorrow, and none of them compare to the level of care I received at Staten Island Dental Care – Dr. Frederick Hecht, MAGD. I drove an hour and a half for both of my appointments, and honestly, it was worth every mile. The entire staff was incredible — not a single person made me uncomfortable. Every one of them was kind, patient, and great at helping with my stress and anxiety about dental work. They knew how to keep the mood light and make the whole experience easy.
But the highlight was Dr. Hecht himself. His level of skill, care, and attention to detail is on a different level. He made me feel safe, heard, and genuinely cared for — something I haven’t experienced at any other dentist. I can say with full confidence that this is the best dental experience I’ve ever had.

My wife just had a root canal procedure done on a tooth which was badly infected. In between visits the infection was causing severe pain. We called doctor Hecht on a Sunday and he came into the office on Staten Island from his home in New Jersey to see her. I don’t know any other Dentist that would do this. He helped her that day and also changed her medication to better fight the infection. He followed up with multiple phone calls to insure the pain had subsided .
Angie who assisted Doctor Hecht with the procedure and Rosemary who is the office manager are both key members of Doctor Hecht’s staff also followed up with calls to insure she was doing ok. She had her final appointment yesterday to complete the procedure successfully and she is pain free. I would like to commend Doctor Hecht and his staff for the professionalism and constant communication to insure she was doing okay throughout the process.
We have been seeing Doctor Hecht for years and he always treats both of us with respect. He explains everything in detail and makes sure you understand completely before going forward with any procedure. He gives detailed instructions after each visit and follows up with a call from either himself or someone from the staff to check in to see if you’re doing ok.

Great experience for my dad! Making the appointment was quick and simple. The dentist did an excellent job filling his tooth and explained everything clearly. Very helpful and informative, with a friendly and welcoming staff Angie was exceptionally helpful!! Would come again.
My husband and I have been going to Dr Fed Hecht at Staten Island Dental care Richmond Ave , S.I. NY for many many years. We live in N.J.always see this dental practice for all outr routine and dental emergencies. Dr Hecht his very understanding and puts my fear of being in the dental chair to rest. The staff and the dental assistants are compassionate caring and make me as calm as possible. We travel many miles and cross the gothels bridge because we have confidence that we will leave there pain free.We highly recommend this practice to anyone who is looking for a honest and highly skilled dentist and staff.
