Dr. Danielle Silver is absolutely amazing with kids. She takes the time to explain everything to both you and your child to make sure everyone is comfortable the entire visit. You can tell she is well educated and very knowledgeable and uses that to make her decisions regarding treatment. She is conservative with her treatment which I really appreciate because I would not want anything aggressive or unnecessary done for my child. There is no one else I would recommend more and I’m so happy I found her!

We had dentist appointments for my 3 children at 4:30 pm. They didn’t call us inside till 5:40 pm. We waited more than 1 hour, to which only 1 child was seen at a time. They had only 1 hygienist working there. it was a long excruciating frustrating process. You have to take into account the wait time. And that’s the case for every appointments we had with them. The minimum wait time was 45 minutes to an hour. It does get very difficult for me to handle 2 toddlers there when you have to be there for more than 2 hours altogether. I’m leaving office after a painful frustrating experience due to waiting and delays.,

Terrible experience with the doctore Danielle Silver. We were scheduled for "filling" with a minor cavity. The same doctor that did this today told us last time that there will be no need for a laughing gas, because I told her we didn't have good experience with it the first time. She said it will be only minor filling. When we came today, she said that we were scheduled for molar protection l, which was not the case, since we already discussed and confirm appointment for filling. Than she told us its not gonna be painful at all if he doesn't want the laughing gas, its just to relax him. After confirming 3 times that its not gonna be painful, we proceed. 1 minut afters she started drilling my son was in extreme pain and I told her 3 times that he is in pain, she would not stop, because of she stops she would have made it worse and the tooth will need a silver cup in that case. Which I don't understand. If something is painful and if you are asked to stop, especially dmif its a child, you should stop for a moment and see what we can do. He had blood in his mouth and was in obvious pain and she would not do anything. Extremely unprofessional, mistakes what we were scheduled for, that the entire awful experience, and at the end when my son said the filling is to high when he bites, she said the upper is clear and almost sent us home. When I insisted thay he wouldn't say its uncomfortable if it wasn't that she checked again and polished 3 more time until the extra was gone. By any mean, don't send you child there. Then she also tried to tell.me that I didn't tell her it was painful and I told her 3 times that he is in obvious pain, he was sobbing. Awful, awful person. It was such a traumatic experience that I still don't even know how to go about it.

I am very disappointed with the experience at SuperSmiles Pediatric Dentistry – Astoria. I had scheduled dental appointments for both of my kids well in advance for 10:00 AM at the Astoria branch. I even received a confirmation text and a reminder message at 8:00 AM on the same day, so I assumed everything was properly scheduled. I took a day off from work, made plans around this appointment, and brought my kids to the office by 9:45 AM in the freezing cold. To my shock, the office was completely closed. No staff, no notices, nothing. I tried calling the office several times, only to hear a prerecorded message with no option to reach a real person. We waited outside for 30 minutes, hoping someone would show up, but no one did. This is unacceptable—especially for a pediatric office where parents plan their entire day around their children’s appointments. The lack of communication and responsibility caused a huge inconvenience for me and unnecessary stress for my kids. Super unprofessional. I hope the clinic improves its scheduling and communication, because this level of service is not acceptable.

Dear SuperSmiles Management Astoria, I wanted to share my recent experience at your office, as I was extremely disappointed by the service I received at the front desk. I schedule my children’s appointments well in advance to accommodate my work schedule and their activities. When I arrived for my daughter’s six-month cleaning, I was told there was no doctor available. The staff claimed they had left a message, but the call had been made to the wrong number. When I tried to explain and even showed the text message confirming my appointment, the front desk employee was rude and unapologetic. She twirled her hair and spoke in an unprofessional tone, implying that it was somehow my fault for not receiving a voicemail that was left on the wrong number. This experience was frustrating and disappointing, and it made me feel that my time and commitment to your practice were not valued. Unfortunately, due to this unprofessional interaction, I will not be returning to your office. I hope you take this feedback seriously and address this issue so that other families don’t have a similar experience.
