Been coming here for years with no issues Clean professional and courteous. I see Priscilla as my hygienist. She is the sweetest and most caring. She takes the time to understand your needs and is so wonderful

The hygienist was phenomenal! (Verretta i think her name was?). My cleaning went well, and i got some great advice on how to improve my brushing. But then the dentist came in and gave me a rushed 5 minute sales pitch about a bunch of stuff i don’t need. That the dentist HERSELF said i had no current issues. No conversation, no care, just being pressured into making a purchase. would not recommend coming here.

Kind people and knowledgeable doctors but disorganized, confusing communication throughout my three phases of treatment: Invisalign round 1, round 2, and final retainer. When my Invisalign was initially installed it felt like there was glue everywhere, the staff had a hard time getting the attachments to stay, and I left with a sore on the edge of my mouth. Partway through my treatment I received a new doctor and wasn't protectively told until I saw the name change for my appointment. Continuously the staff would try to be helpful by saying, "last time we did..." Or "today we're doing..." And that was usually incorrect. I blame the Tend system more than the staff, the notes seemed very inconsistent and the doctor often had to triple check things listed in there. There was a disagreement between my doctor and the Invisalign company at one point in which the second round didn't fit properly causing surprise removal of some of my attachments but not all. After all attachments were removed I still felt like there was glue on my teeth probably from the hectic installment. The doctor polished it off for me but seemed frustrated with my insistence on taking a second look for leftover glue. For my last appointment the doctor had told me we'd check the fit of the retainer together. We didn't. And when I was checking out there was confusion about whether I needed to come back, when, and then I was incorrectly told I should have received a case for aligners which caused undue frustration. Throughout all the communication breakdowns it seemed like the staff was frustrated with me and that it was my fault. This place stressed me out given the price I paid for the service. I am on the fence about going back.

A review for the Tend business as a whole. I have been to two offices: Chelsea and West Village. My experiences with hygienists have been solid and the dentists are generally fine to positive. I enjoyed the convenience of the app which is the positive of a large chain like this. The cracks start to show as soon as you need anything personal. The app constantly crashed on me making rescheduling very difficult so I had to call in and go through the phone tree. When my husband was getting more complex work done (braces) here, he had so much trouble anytime he needed to contact anyone when a bracket broke. He was being sent to different offices then being told work couldn't be done because one office didn't have the right tools. Then recently I had a friend who was just looking for some simple teeth cleaning and check up and I referred her to Tend cause they have a $50 bonus for both parties. This happened almost a month ago. She's been trying to ask about the referral since and hasn't heard back. Then I reached out about it and was told that they weren't doing referrals anymore because of a system change. I asked if the referral reward would be sent out after the system is updated and they said no they aren't doing the program right now. Despite this, the page for the referral program was still up. Once again this referral happened over a month ago, and this page was up and advertising referrals Tend won't pay out for. I called them out on their dishonesty and the pages seem to be taken down now. The individual people at these locations may be fine but this business as a whole can't be trusted.

I came in for a cleaning and was told I needed to get 6 fillings spread over two days. I went to a different dentist to get a second opinion and was told I didn't need any of them. They have someone on the staff who comes in to review the treatment with you, almost like a salesperson. Overall very icky feeling and I am so glad I saved myself the time, money, and pain and went to a dentist who cares about their patients more than maximizing profits. I would absolutely not recommend coming here, or if you do be sure to get a second opinion before getting any work done
