I went to Tend for an ortho consult and had a great experience. I usually come here for my cleanings and Dr. Kane recommended potentially doing ortho. I am on the fence about it however Dr. Kane and her assistant Shania was very informative, and helped ease a lot of my fears about doing Invisalign. It was also cool being able to see the before and after simulation so I can get a better sense of what my results could be. I’ll be coming back in the new year to start my case.

I’m extremely happy with my teeth whitening results today! My teeth improved by 4 shades, and the difference is so noticeable. Talia was incredibly gentle, patient, and professional throughout the entire procedure—she made me feel comfortable the whole time. Asoya, Tasfiah and Anique were also very warm and welcoming, which made the experience even better. The whole team was amazing, and I left the office feeling super confident with my brighter smile 😁 Highly recommend!

Very happy with my first trip to Tend in the West Village. The premises are modern, spotlessly clean, all of the latest equipment and easy on the eye. Walk in to reception and made to feel welcome. The dentist and dental nurse did not rush their work and I felt like my teeth had received a very thorough check-up and clean. In the past I have always gone to a different Tend location and been happy. This time there was no availability at my usual Tend location so I switched to Tend West Village. I was so impressed, I will be staying with the West Village location in future.

Tend West Village completely misled me about my insurance coverage. I asked multiple times whether the treatment would be covered and was explicitly told I had enough coverage and should come in as soon as possible. I even asked the staff to verify everything with my insurance. One month later, I received a $500 bill because my insurance had been maxed out. This was entirely preventable. I relied on the office’s confident assurances and would have postponed or chosen a different option if given accurate information. Providing incorrect guidance after being asked to double-check is misleading and financially harmful. Patients deserve transparency and respect - this office showed a serious lack of it.

This was a pretty frustrating experience for me. I made a last-minute appointment for a cleaning and this was my first time going to Tend. I had heard mixed reviews, but after seeing some positive ones online, I decided to give it a try. About an hour before my appointment, the receptionist called to say they had availability and invited me to come in early. However, I wasn’t actually taken back until a few minutes after my original appointment time. That was fine, but I wouldn’t have come early had I known. I then went in for X-rays, which ended up taking 40 minutes. The technician had trouble with the machine and needed two different people to come in and assist. I was told I would still be out by my one-hour scheduled time. As it became clear that there would only be 10–15 minutes left in my appointment, I realized there wouldn’t be enough time to do the actual cleaning, which was frustrating. The dentist then came in, said I had some gum inflammation, and recommended a deep cleaning instead, explaining it would take a full hour and that I’d need to come back another day. I said that was fine. When I went to the front desk to schedule, I was told that after insurance the "deep cleaning" would cost several hundred dollars out of pocket. I explained that I’ve never paid out of pocket for a cleaning, as it’s always been fully covered and I said I would prefer to just do a standard cleaning. At that point, I was told that once a deep cleaning is recommended, they are not allowed to perform a regular cleaning. I found this surprising and, honestly, felt the entire visit was a huge waste of time. I also couldn’t help but feel that I was being upsold, which is something I noticed mentioned in several other reviews I had read. Even if a deep cleaning was suggested, I would expect that a patient should still have the option to request a standard cleaning instead.
